In addition to returning to school to pursue a degree in psychology, Veronica has committed herself to fully exploring her fantasies, both in writing and in person…
Initially, I was very, very intrigued by this book and the premise. I love these types of books. But, just when I had gotten thoroughly ensconced in the book and was aching to know the answers to Ari's questions about her potential healing, things definitely took a nose dive for me. I do not want to put spoilers in this review so I'll simply say that as I approached half-way through the book, things got a little bizarre, and the more I read, the more bizarre the story became to the point that I had to question whether I was so invested in the story/outcome that I had to continue. As I plugged along skipping whole pages on my Kindle, I decided that while I was curious, I wasn't that curious, and therefore, after having read exactly 50% of this book, I just couldn't continue. I rarely fail to finish a book. This was such a disappointment.
IMHO, the synopsis blurb is extremely misleading, and there should have been a warning similar to that of other books where there is some very crude language used, especially in sexual situations. Furthermore, if by looking at the cover and reading the blurb, you think you are getting a nice sweet romance-----THINK AGAIN!~!!! This should have been labeled EROTIC/EROTICA. I've nothing against erotic or spiced up sexy novels--got a bunch of 'em; however, I would like to know UP FRONT, that I'm buying erotic/erotica. IMO, the cover along with the blurb appear to be designed to be misleading. So, for those of you who do not want to read an erotic novel, please make another choice.
