Okay so this Is the first book I read by Sawyer Bannett and I absolutely loved it. It was a nice fast read. I really like books which you can read in a short time and still be able to really enjoy it. The places, events, and characters were all flawless. It was sweet and hot and romantic.
So Ava is a magical princess who has been sent to another dimension on earth to be kept safe from the evil Ralina. Carrick is her childhood bestfriend they are deeply in love. But things aren't always going great in life. one day Carrick has to make a decision that will hurt them both greatly. Throughout the story you get heartbroken and then happy and then sad, it's all an emotional roller coaster.
I liked the magical world a lot. I have always liked wizards since I was a child so this story captivated me from the beginning. And it's all the typical princess romance, which I really like. Ava was lovely in my opinion and i fell in love with her. she was smart and confidant.
I don't know what more needs to be said. If you like a sweet and exciting romance this book is great.

This was a great read. I was completely engrossed from page one, and I quickly fell in love with the characters.
This is a new adult book, not to be confused with young adult. It's hot, steamy, and divinely sensual. Bennett has creatively conjured up an alternate dimension on Earth, and she did a fantastic job taking the readers there.
So, how can I create an incantation that cleans my clothes in 10 seconds, provides instant hot water that never cools down, and transports me wherever I want to go?
I highly recommend this book. It's a great contemporary/paranormal romance for 17+ readers.

I really liked this. Lost loves, magic, crossing the veil and evil villeins. Couldn't ask for much more.

Loved this one! This is my second Sawyer Bennett book and I'm going straight into my third. Great depth to the story and the characters are very well written. And the sexual tension! Phew!

Honestly, it reads a bit like an early novel. Something the author wrote, then put away as not good enough, then hauled back out once she was making bank. And it ends on a cliffhangar, which I despise.

Very nice story of magic and mayhem. I love books that open up and your already pretty much into the action as was Second Chance with Ava coming face to face with a creature I would say would resemble a zombie and having a gorgeous hunk of man come rescue her out of the blue.
Only she later learns this strange man was once very much a huge part of her life in another land..one she must revisit for the sake of her people.

This is not the type of book I would normally pick up but I stumbled upon Sawyer Bennett and I can't get enough! She is an amazing writer! Her characters seem so real that I have to remember they are not my friends in real life. The only criticism I have is that the books end and I miss the characters too much. Can't wait to start her latest book!
