Sex, blood and it's all in a day's work

Stella is just minding her own business and having a bit of fun, working as an exotic dancer at the Peacock Lounge. Through no fault of her own, she witnesses a double murder and gets pulled into a shady dance of deceit with political bigwigs, mob bosses, dirty cops and scheming widows. Now she's everyone's target; her only chance is to sift through the lies and expose the truth.

"I liked this book for its light tone, its sassy heroine, and its sexual variety. I especially liked that the author did not cast Stella as the cliched 'stripper with a heart of gold' or 'poor little woman with no other skills'. Stella strips because she loves the job and she's good at it. She has sex the same way ~ with enthusiasm ~ whether it's with a man or a woman. 'Exposure' is a rollicking ride of a tale with well-drawn characters. The loosely-woven plot is a twist of motivations and emotions. I think you will enjoy reading it." - Carole, Rainbow Reviews

"In many ways a murder mystery shares a lot in common with a typical striptease. As one layer after another is removed, a little more is revealed but the audience remains hungry to see even more and they won't be satisfied until everything has been wholly and totally exposed...[In Exposure] Lisabet manages this authorial trick with typical aplomb, setting the story up so that the reader is presented with a Stella's eye view of reality." - Ashley Lister, Erotica Revealed, www.eroticarevealed.com.

I think this is the first time I have stated this on finishing a book, but at the moment the only words that I can formulate are 'what the hell did I just read'!

This story read nothing like I expected from the synopsis. I really am not sure how to rate it so I have put it as middle of the road. It wasn't bad but it wasn't really good either.

The mystery of the murders was interesting enough to keep me reading until the end. The sex scenes, again where to start. The main character seemed to want to bed every person she came into contact with. If she couldn't get them in the sack (most she could) she masturbating while thinking about them.

This book should certainly have a warning as to the sexual content! Contains some M/F action, a lot of F/F scenes, including fisting.

This is one of those books that is better when performed rather than read. Summer Larsson does an excellent job with the narration, creating the perfect tone for the story with her flawless characterizations.

I don't really have anything nice to say about Exposure.

I'm not sure what possessed me to buy this book. The main character is a sex addled stripper turned amateur detective. She witnesses a double homicide while working as a stripper for a mayoral candidate. After her private striptease turned into a quickie sex act, Stella is caught up in the murder case. She decides to involve herself in the criminal investigation and ends up in grave danger. She takes on nearly every other character in the novel as sex partners without ever knowing who was culpable in the mystery.

The author might be trying to pull off an erotic mystery/political thriller. It seems to me that it's just a trashy potboiler. The writing is the only thing good about this book, but it doesn't save it from being a waste of time. If it was meant to be a parody of the noir genre, it misses the target completely.

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review.
This was a great story. It has lots of suspense, mystery, and steamy scenes. It pulls you in and won't let you go. I definitely recommend.

Mayoral candidate Tony Pinelli is murdered in front of Stella. She sees it all but manages to escape. When she thinks back on it she wonders if she was the target but Tony's quick thinking saved her. Now she's involved in murder but does not know why. Nor can she figure out why a mob boss wants to save her by sending her out of town.

I enjoyed this story especially since it was set in my hometown. Ms. Sarai captures the flavor of Pittsburgh and its neighborhoods well. The story was first rate. Stella knows she has supposedly seen something but she does not know what. She also knows she will not be scared out of her home. She wants to find the murderer but does not know who to trust. I could feel her fear as she is attacked as is her house. I could feel her hesitation in trusting those she felt she should be able to trust. I also felt her disquiet in getting up close and personal with other characters when she did not trust them although she tried to talk herself out of the distrust.

When we find out who can be bought and who cannot as well as who will betray and who will be true, we've been on quite a whirlwind of suspense. I liked how Stella resolves it in the end. She knows her mind and will follow her instincts. Fantastic woman!
