After the death of her ex-boyfriend, Evangelyc believed that she could finally begin to live her life with Kaleb at her side. However, when Kaleb is ripped from her life, Eva is forced to face her mother and her past in attempts to bring back the lycan that has stolen her heart. Will Eva be able to bring Kaleb back? And if so, what will it cost her?
Life in Manhattan was stuck on "Go", but even with the constant racing of daily life, Ascentii Phoenix still found time to lose herself in a world of her own creation. Pencil to paper yielded countless poems, short stories, and sketches from her soaring imagination. Characters and events came to life on the pages of her many notebooks and sketch pads, which remained for her enjoyment alone.
After the brilliant debut with Broken, Ascentii now presents the next book in the series. And I haven not been disappointed!!!
Sacrifice starts a month after Broken ended with Kaleb being abducted, and just as the story matured, so has the author. I truly enjoyed this read.
Ascentii wrote a story that captures you from the first page and will leave you wanting more after the end.
Lucky for me, this is a series and I am eagerly awaiting book 3.
On a side note: I seriously appreciate the time taken by the author to add a glossary for the terms used in the book as it helps new readers to better understand the world of Kaleb, Evangelyc, Lykaios and the others.
Ascentii has a fan for life here....She blew me away with the first, and topped that with this one. She has a rhyme and reason for all that happens, and believe me...a lot happens. I want to buy a boatload of these and put them in everyone that loves shifter books' hands. When we left the end of the first book, Kaleb had been taken by the nasty vamps...Eva suffers greatly and does everything in her power to get him back, making a trade - she will take his place as captive. We get some much needed background on Eva. Her powers are also explained a bit more, and explored and grown. This is a do not miss book. Loved it!
