Rate this book
Riding the waves of a sugar high, Violet Cunningham seduces the town’s newest pastry chef, slathering him with whipped cream in his secret kitchen. But all that is made of sugar melts, and her brazenness vanishes soon after their tryst, leaving her battling old insecurities about her waistline and appetites, courtesy of her mother. Positive she’s only made a fool of herself, she’s mortified when her boss sends her back to sexy Chef Max’s kitchen and into the proverbial frying pan.

After a red-hot date, her chef disappears, and Violet’s emotions simmer to a boil, forcing her to confront the awful there’s more to life than pastry.

Do not be confused by the sweet couple on the cover. This is not a sweet romance. Eva Lefoy writes hot romance. I loved that the heroine was BBW and the hero a French chef was also on the chunky side. They made the perfect couple. After reading this book you will be craving cream puffs!

This is a book of the author's I have had for a while and finally remembered I had - I do that a lot unfortunately. My TBR is huge and my kindle is full of books I want to read right away and of course my pooor brain has nowhere near the same memory! lol Anyways...

This book features a curvy, office worker heroine who adores her pastries and the men who create them. One wonderful evening Violet finds herself at the premiere for a new chef and she manages to meet and interest this new chef so much that the two of them have a private tutoring session in his kitchen - featuring custard! I LOVE custard so much more than whipped cream and desperately wanted to be Violet throughout this whole book. REALLY really wanted to be Violet.

Unfortunately the two do not manage to reconnect properly for a while and the doubt's and self-confidence issues that Violet has struggled with for her whole life reared their ugly head and made Max's courting of her difficult...to say the least!

This was a short, sweet story about how two people's love of sweet food can bring them together and allow sweet love to develop between them, even as they enjoy each other's company and explore their love of foods.

I am still smiling thinking of Ms. LeFoy's short and very sweet story. Now, when I say "sweet", I am referring to the pastry subject matter, for this story is scorching! If you like your erotica quick and to the punch, this is for you. What separates this book from other erotic shorts, however, is Ms. LeFoy's writing. Her turn of phrase is elegant and evocative. She is a wordsmith who had me giggling at her metaphors and similes. This is the tale of Violet, a businesswoman who is given the task at work of digging up a French chef for an event. When she finds Chef Max, her world explodes in a whipped cream orgy of lust. At first Violet thinks it's all about Max's cream puffs, and the descriptions of these pastries will honestly make your mouth water! However, Violet soon learns it's not just about the food; it's about the man. I wish the story were longer, simply because I would have liked to dwell in their world a bit more. However, it is concluded in a satisfying manner that had me reaching for my fridge handle and my man.

First person erotica, where we stay in the heroines head throughout, ...consequently we don't get to know the hero at all, IMO. And there's virtually no plot...

And for such a short book, one with no plot no less, the h's insecurity was a tad irritating...seriously, its like the whole book is either a sex scene or her feeling bad about herself...she...comes to terms with it in the end, but again...there's no plot...so her triumph or whatever is less than satisfying...I did like that she was a BBW, though and not afraid of food. 2 stars not because its bad or anything, but because ( yes, again) there's no plot...the sex scenes were hot, but were also almost continuous..there's no building up to anything, the only angst is contrived, and while I like ms lefoy's writing style, not enough happens for this to earn a a higher rating.

An incredible story by a debut author. A BBW, a sexy French chef and sizzling hot sex...what more could a girl want? This short story had me laughing out loud and desperately wanting more. I will definitely be checking out this author in the future!

Quick, easy read with a lot of steam but not a lot of plot. However the sexy, steamy aspect more than makes up for the lackluster plot line.
