Loved the second book in the Zarkora series! Again all the characters were just as lovely and the world was built up beautifully that I just got completely lost in this book 😍 I enjoyed the spins and twists and found them quite unpredicatable which I liked. And of course I love a happy ending but with enough intrigue to get me keen for the next read! ❤️👏🏻
A fantastic second instalment to the Zarkora series. Action and fantasy-loving middle graders (and adults who are young at heart) are sure to devour this book!
Great cast of characters, lots of actions and surprises, and great climatic ending.
I still find the passive, telling style of writing annoying, and there were some POV discrepancies and unnecessary repetitions in descriptions, but if you can get past those, there's a really fun adventure here, just waiting to be enjoyed!
I've found the second instalment in a series can be kinda slow and nowhere near as enthralment as the first, but Zarkora kept the plot fast-paced and didn't have a single tedious moment! Well written, beautiful imagery and a fantastic story! Definitely recommend it to anyone interested in adventure stories!
Brilliant descriptive characters makes It easy to connect to their world and live their journey with them. Overall a great read I couldn't put it down.
