4.5 stars rounded up ✨ that ending had me sobbing and my chest still feels a little tight. i feel really emotional. this little graphic novel really hits for anyone who has felt somewhat displaced in the world, like you’ve never really found your true “home” or place you fit in and have always been searching. for those who feel wistful for something they can’t quite put into words. for anyone with ‘what if’s that percolate through their mind. by the end, you will feel a new deep appreciation for life, the universe, and each other.

J’ai traqué ce livre depuis sa sortie FR y’a genre 10 ans, j’ai enfin mis la main dessus et franchement : bah j’aurais encore plus aimé en lisant à l’époque, mais ça reste super cool. En dehors du style graphique incroyable (qui fait déjà beaucoup), on suit une jeune adulte qui travaille dans l’administratif, où elle n’arrive pas à s’intégrer à la vie de bureau, décryptant mal les conventions sociales. Elle mène une double vie en étant une mega gameuse dans des salles d’arcade où personne ne connaît sa véritable identité. Mais son rêve secret c’est d’avoir son propre vaisseau spatial, ce qui arrive assez vite dans le flou narratif de l’histoire. De là elle explore l’univers et surtout se lie d’amitié avec une meuf, qui était en fait son plus grand adversaire d’arcade dont elle ne connaissait pas non plus l’identité (pas sûr de savoir si c’est une meuf ou une alien?) Juste tout ça mais 10/10. Et oui, le style passe rapidement de incroyablement beau à incroyablement brouillon (certaines planches c’est chaud 😅), la narration est pas très clair par moment, mais bon, ça m’a grave plut quand même (et la quantité de notes à la fin du livre qui complexifie l’univers et le développe!!)
C’est dommage que ce livre soit à présent introuvable (comme ses autres publications), et merci à la personne qui l’a scanné et diffusé en ligne!

It's been awhile since I've read manga and I enjoyed the story. Some bits did get confusing, I had to reread some panels a few times during reading but other than that I liked it. Others may not agree but I also really liked the 'sketchy' look of her illustrations but maybe I'm biased as I have a similar drawing style and the fact that I've been a fan of hers for several years now.

I liked the illustrations and how sweet the story was. the sketchy style, and the wander conveyed through it, the mix of sci-fi/wonder and the mundane world. it was a cute and simple story, that I enjoyed
