More Than Deception
A beautiful, but wicked queen, a poor village girl, a gay prince and an unsuspecting New Yorker.
Thirteen-year-old Henna Day was living in poverty when she was hand-picked by Queen Karisma of Asokastan, (a North West State of India) to be a bride for Crown Prince Vijay.
Shortly after her wedding, Henna learned that Prince Vijay was gay and that he had the mentality of a child.
As the years go by, she is expected to produce an heir. But Vijay will not consummate the marriage. Out of desperation, Henna seduces Rusty Carrington, Prince Vijay's fencing instructor, who is on contract in Asokastan, and who has no idea who Henna is.
The moment she falls pregnant, Henna disappears from Rusty life.
Rusty is devastated as he is madly in love with Henna. Since his contract is over, he goes back to New York.

I truly enjoyed this series. Not for the faint of heart, Royal Deception is intense. Book one starts with a homely 13 year old village girl, Henna, who is an unknowing pawn in a vindicative queen's game.
By book two Henna grows into a beautiful woman. A case of the ugly duckling turning into a beautiful swan. The scenario is wrapped around dysfunctional families, royal lies, a prince who just wants to be happy with his lover and of course twists & turns that lead to confusion and mistrust. And of course, no romance is ever complete without forbidden love.
There is so much to love about this series.

Fabulous continuation of Deception a Palace full of Liars. Another wild ride from this author. Very well written but fabulously modern this story is so interesting. It's a love story, a forbidden love story between a vulnerable Indian girl and a worldly Caucasian New Yorker. The author handles the issue of royalty very well, not delving deeply at all into this aspect. The dialogue is exceptional and the characters so well drawn you can picture them. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and its companion book two. It's a different, sexy, modern love story and a definite page turner.

This was good, too funny. I will be reading this again. Barood and Henna together there wasn't a dull moment in this book. When Barood came to the US from India and he realize he can be himself, He was in wigs, high heelz, dresses, lipstick u name Barood had, he transform into a woman an it was funny. I loved it. Vijay was a happy prince that him an Barod were able to be thereself. Henna was happy to spend time with Rusty in public. I enjoyed this story

I really loved this story. It has so many different flavors to it, and just when you needed another, there it was. Now it might not have been what you wanted to happen, but, yeah, you loved it none the less. I loved seeing her come from being so unworthy feeling to where she ended up. Absolutely up there with my favorite books. And this author is one of my favorite. She never disappoints with her writing.

I had lost my hope and thought the "after life" solution Henna came up with was the only way, then WOW (or OHMIGOD lol)!
