This was my second read through with my oldest who is now five. Honestly, this is one of the best (if not the best) resources available to Christian parents.

The stories are no longer than a page and cover almost every event in the Scriptures (every minor prophet included). There is always a connection to Christ at the end and a question to facilitate conversation.

The book does not assume the salvation of the child (a subtle problem in many other kids “Bibles”) but gently and winsomely calls them to repent and believe the gospel.

I cannot recommend this resource enough and have given it to pastors with kids and new converts alike.

We DNF'ed this about 1/3 of the way through. I was reading this with my 5, 3, and 1 year old and its just a little too dry and mature for them. This is definitely a kids version of the bible as opposed to a devotional of any kind. It's simplified from the original text, but not in a way thats very engaging. We will try again when they're older, but for now its not for us.

We read this with my 5 year old son (although it would probably be a little more appropriate for a slightly older child). It’s definitely one of the best children’s Bibles I’ve seen - it not only covers the common Bible stories, but actually gives a pretty decent overview of every book. I love that it points to Jesus and the Gospel in every lesson. Will definitely use again.... highly recommended!

This is by far the most complete and accurate Bible storybook I have seen. Not only does it have the "major" stories, but it also includes sections not normally covered in children's material, such as the Old Testament prophets. The illustrations likewise stay largely accurate to the biblical accounts (such as Isaiah's son being present when he goes to King Ahaz and the Wise Men presenting gifts to a toddler Jesus in a house). It truly gives children an overview of the entire Bible. My only criticism is that the "Big Picture Questions" in the Old Testament section occasionally aren't actually answered within the story.

As a side note, I have not tried the interactive features. This book is well worth its price even without them.

Review: The Big Picture Interactive Bible Storybook

Loved learning about the Bible.

One original opinion, I had about the book was that it would be a quick read. Turns out it took me a while to read it, but I enjoyed the short chapters. Makes me feel more confident about trying to read another long book.

Readers really into religious studies or ethics may really like this work.

Definitely deserves five stars because of:

1. Great pictures
2. Easy to read chapters
3. Amazing topic
4. Deep ideas
5. Clearly stated morals.

This storybook Bible was chronological and very thorough. At the end of each story there was a big picture question and answer and some of them we’ve adopted as catechisms in our home. We will definitely be pulling this one off the shelf again ✨

I did not use the interactive part of the book. I did enjoy reading it with my daughter though.

In a technology driven age, even the Bible has to become a part of what reaches people. My five year old son is more computer/tablet/phone literate then me so I knew when I saw The Big Picture Interactive Bible Storybook, it was just the Bible for him!

A few months ago we went to an interactive movie where he used a tablet to play games along with the movie. Ever since then he thinks all movies should be that way and now he thinks all books should! This comes with a code you can scan, or find and download for free in the APP store, to make this book come to life. (See video below for detailed explanation).

There are icons on each page that can be scanned, then the illustration is scanned and that’s it! The book comes to life right before your eyes! Reed thought this was so amazing and doesn’t understand why this is his only book that does it!

I liked the simplicity and ease of which a child could use this as well as how prominent and easy to find the icon is on the page. I want my child who is learning to read to be able to do things like this himself until he is completely able to read on his own. It brings the joy of reading and learning to a whole new level. Adding technology to anything increases it’s appeal for kids like mine.

The Big Picture Interactive Bible Storybook would make a great gift this holiday for all the kids in your life who will be technology driven, whether we like it or not!
