BADSHOORT CHEHRE.....nahi badshoort novel
Smp ka 4th novel ,sunil ka 4th novel
Sunil apne dost bandar urf juyal ke saath tafari karne ke liye marina beach pahucha tha ki uske samne aati hai lash
Puri tarah se khuli hui ......
Sar Kati hui ....
Superintendent Ram singh ke mutabik woh sisilewar thi unke theory ke ek lash milti thi toh ek Sahar ka partithist adami gaya hota tha aur un sabke pichhe Sahar ke kubdo ka hath tha
Fir jaldi hi Pata chalta hai ki un kubdo ka sardar Dr. Finch tha
Jo kabhi reputate Doctor tha woh achanak kubda kaise ho gya tha..
Jahan Pichhle novel ka adha hissan hi mystery tha yanha adhi shudhi bhi jati rahi hai
WHO.....WHY.....nahi
Yeh novel puri tarah se thriller hai. Hum sabhi jabab jante hai.
Villain aur uske maksad bhi.pura novel uske anjam ke liye pada jata hai
Ab tak ka sabse kamjor novel hai

पूरी किताब डॉक्टर फिंच के आविष्कार पर निर्भर करती है जो वृद्ध लोगो का इलाज़ कर उनको जवान बनाये रखता है जिसमें कुबडो का आंतक, कोनायर बैटरी का रहस्य, बंदर की कार, सुनील का मगज़ देना जैसी बातें बेहद रोचक थी.
किसी किसी पाठक को ये किताब किसी विदेशी कहानी से प्रभावित लग सकती है. मेरी नज़र से तो बंदर के किरदार को आगे बढ़ाना चाहिए था क्यूंकि उसे जरुरत से ज्यादा छोटा रोल दिया है, ऊपर से क्लाइंमैक्स ने दिमाग ख़राब कर दिया, सुनील का प्लेन 2 पहाड़ियों के बीच फंस गया और उसे एक चोट भी नहीं लगी.... सच कहूँ तो किताब एक बार पठनीय योग्य है और औसत से थोड़ा बेहतर है 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽

कहानी अच्छी है । रहस्य कुछ ख़ास नहीं है, पर रोमांच अच्छा है ।
पाठक साहब का शुरुआती उपन्यास होने के कारण इस उपन्यास से ज़्यादा उम्मीद नहीं रखी जा सकती । हालांकि उस ज़माने में, १९६५ में ये कहानी लोगों को आकर्षित करने में सफल हुई होगी । कहानी में नयापन है, लेकिन मर्डर मिस्ट्री वाली बात यहाँ पर नहीं है । फिर भी एक बार पढ़ सकते है । इसमें दिखाए गए वैज्ञानिक तथ्यों के बारे में कुछ कहा नहीं जा सकता कि क्या यह सच है, या सिर्फ़ लेख़क की कल्पना है ।

Sunil Chakravarty unexpectedly stumbles upon a clue to a series of mysterious murders. All the corpses were beheaded and the heart plus the connecting arteries were removed. Every such murder was soon followed by the disappearance of a prominent person from the city.
What's common between the two seemingly unconnected threads? Who will disappear this time? Who is at the bottom of this and who is the ugly hunchback connected with the strange events?
Written in 1965, Badsoorat Chehre (Ugly Faces) is a mystery thriller with an excellent plot. At 25, S.M. Pathak showed the first signs of the greatness he would go on to achieve in the late 70s. This is not a great novel, but assuredly a good one. The novel starts off as a mystery (which becomes evident by the halfway mark) and becomes a thriller in the second half.
The fearless, principled Sunil is brilliant as ever. There's his girlfriend Pramila/ Pammi and Superintendent of Police Ramsingh- both of whom were fixtures in early Sunil series novels (Pammi disappeared after the first few novels and Ramsingh stopped appearing sometime in the early 1970s). Ramakant Malhotra makes no more than a passing appearance. It's also interesting to note that Sunil is a young man in his early 20's in this novel (he became an older character sometime in the 70s).
The novel comes across as an excellent idea which suffered due to a pressing deadline, which is perfectly understandable, since it was an era when Hindi crime fiction writers were expected to churn out at least 2-4 novels a month (some managed as many as 8 a month!). Despite the 'hurriedly pieced together' look and the fact that it looks particularly dated in parts, Badsoorat Chehre is a fast paced and slick thriller which seldom slackens (and then too only momentarily).
To conclude: its a good novel from a young author finding his feet. Definitely worth a one-time read.

दिसम्बर 1965 में आये सुनील सीरीज के चौथे कारनामे "बदसूरत चेहरे" एक अलग ही प्रकार की अनोखी कहानी लेकर सभी पाठकों के पहुंची।
सर सुरेन्द्र मोहन पाठक साहब की इस कृति में एक ऐसी संस्था का जिक्र किया गया है जिसमे ऐसे लोग मौजूद हैं जो विकृत हैं।
सुनील के सामने कई चुनौतिया प्रस्तुत होती इस संस्था से दो-चार होने की लेकिन हर बार वह मात खा जाता है।
सुनील एक ऐसी संस्था से मुकाबला करने को तैयार है जिसमे कई समाज के आधार स्तंभों का हस्तक्षेप है।
यह कहानी एक ऐसे सिलसिलेवार घटना को प्रदर्शित करती है जिसमे समाज के कई आधारस्तंभ धीरे धीरे राजनगर से गायब होते जाते हैं।
एक खोजी पत्रकार के रूप में सुनील का ऐसा हस्तक्षेप होता है की यह गायब होने की गुत्थी सुलझ ही जाती है।
सोचने वाली बात यह है की मैं इसे sci-fic उपन्यास अगर कहूँ तो कोई मेरी बात कटेगा नहीं, विशेषकर जिन मित्रों ने इस पुस्तक को पढ़ा हो।

Very Nicely written novel by the writer. Suspense is maintained till the end of novel. One cannot left till the end of the story. Good one.
