Lucinda Carrington wrote four highly respected and popular erotic novels in the classic early period of Black Lace. Titles are: The Master of Shilden, The Ninety Days of Genevieve, A Dangerous Lady and A Dangerous Game.
(NL-editie) I didn’t like this book. Nicolás is a 🐷. I do NOT understand how this smart, educated FMC let him treat her the way he did. Like girl, WTF?! 🤡 I just couldn’t get over that. It just ruined it for me..
Mmm, I am not sure about this book. I do like Jacey at some points, but I miss information about her too. Like what did she do in the past for the major? It is hinted that it is dangerous or at least secret work she did for him. And I don’t like the end or actually there is no end, except that she isn’t going further with one of the men mentioned in the book. There is only hinted about the writer she sits next to in the plane, but as a reader I want to know what happens next. I just don’t like open endings. Except for the ending I did have fun reading the book, but the ending spoils that for me.
I had already read this book once, but I read the other two books for the second time, so I thought I should read this one as well for a second time.
And I remember myself thinking that I didn’t like this book the first time I read it. And I thought just the same the second time. How she treats herself and how she let others treat her,… it’s just disgusting.
She is just a bit over the top for my taste. And I don’t see anything romantic happening at the end of this book, like in the other two books. I’m still trying to figure out this book. So, I finished it. And Yup, still didn’t liked it. I give this book 1.5 stars..
Hadn't realized this was one by Carrington... On the whole I enjoyed this, but for some reason it took me a while to get through it. Still like the Ninety Days of Genevieve best by her.
