If this was a satirical or parody-type of book it'd be OK. But it's not. So with cliches filled pages and absolutely no interesting characters this book doesn't get a positive review. But because of the power of I shall continue my reading.

STORY und CHARACTERS

The story neither fresh nor unique. A guy is something only the females can be and enters a Private School for . In the school he meets with several girls with extreme emotional tendencies. However in the anime genre this types of characters are not unique, and is slightly becoming boring.
There are no complex characters in the book. Sure, they all have their backstory but we still don't know anything about them. And when we do learn some information I sincerely hope that the character development isn't forced. Or like centring on only one heroine per volume (like DxD).

OVERALL

Nothing special. But if it is your first light-novel then I guess is something else entirely. But if you are an anime fan don't read it. Even if you're an ecchi fan. There isn't enough to satisfy(?) you.

In all honesty, the story is pretty average compared to similar titles such as High School DxD and Unbreakable Machine Doll. An academy where the main focus is on women which so happens to have a sole male user? [Infinite Stratos]. I like most of the characters in the first volume because of their own charms. However, as the months pasts, I started to dislike one character because of their inability to take serious actions that occurred in their past. She does get better in the later volumes but this issue I cannot stand. Overall, the novel is ok. I would read on certain occasions but I wouldn't go back to it if I wanted to.

This light novel speaks of Kazehaya Kamito, an boy who is the only person to be able to contract a spirit in this world besides the Demon King who ravaged the world many years ago. He walks through a forest that leads to a school when, through unsuspecting circumstances, a girl, Claire Rouge, makes him promise to be her contracted spirit. And so starts a funny, yet satisfying turn of events that unfold throughout this novel. I recommend this to any person who likes reading fantasy and romance novels.
