In his latest title, Living Originally, Robert Brumet explores how many perceived problems stem not from the world, but from a false sense of self. Living originally is the art of knowing and being your true self. Using the book's 10 spiritual practices, rediscover your origin--the truth of who you are. When you learn to live from this state, everything in your world will fall naturally into place.
This book reminded me that I learn from my mistakes & to be open to learning from all our experiences. I believe everything has a reason for happening & that certain people are placed in our lives to teach us something! We don't have all the answers & we're not bad people - we just have much to learn.
Well written. Ten simple but time-tested day-to-day practices. Buddhist influence is apparent. Good refresher if you're already familiar with a variety of spiritual practices. Like all such books, it comes down to the practice, not the reading. These practices can change your life -- if you do the work.
Good thoughts but very abstract, higher level thinking.Beyond a typical 'self help' how to.It was a book my church,Unity ,used for small group studies.Frankly ,I enjoyed the group experience more than the book practices themselves.Still, even even half the country read this and practiced the lessons,I could imagine a world if peace.
