Jessica Rosenberg is the queen of cozy witchy #FriendshipCore fiction that makes readers feel like they're having coffee with their best friends. She lives on the foggy Central Coast of California with her two wonderful teens, two playful dogs, and a mischievous orange cat named Persimmon for obvious reasons.

When she's not weaving magical tales or getting lost in a good book, Jessica can probably be found strolling along the beach, searching for sea glass treasures even though she should probably be tidying her office.

The more I read from the perspective of Juliette, the more I like her. I read the ARC of this book over a couple of sessions and enjoyed it immensely. As many of us do, Juliette spends too much time doubting her own decisions. The great thing is though, she learns and comes not to doubt the love and support of her quirky "tribe". Juliette's fellow witches, the Brewhahas, are a fun, supportive and entertaining bunch. I love the addition of the new character, Cara, who I have a feeling we will be seeing more of in the future. This book proves, once again, that books can be full of all sort of magical adventure, literally and figuratively

I got this as a ARC and really enjoyed reading Juliette’s latest adventure. It feels like I’m growing up with Juliette. In this book she starts finding and slowly believing in herself. It is an easy and adventurous read that kept me enthralled for hours. I’m looking forward to reading more about Juliette and her friends.

Juliette is an interesting spirit witch who can't seem to believe in herself. Hopefully, the next book she will.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. We are back at the Wyrd Words bookstore with all the Brewhahas. Juliette Matthews is coping with life. Harvey is still around helping Juliette cope with her anxiety. Tybalt and Sean are still around as well. Both seem to have found their place in Juliette’s life.

Juliette is still trying to get a handle on her magic when it leads her to a clock at an estate sale. Though she is not given many clues, Juliette knows she has to find the owner before her magic become debilitating. The few clues that she was given were not enough to follow. Juliette has to lean on her magic to show her the way.

Juliette coming into her own and figuring things out are the highlight of this book. It was also hilarious to see how Tybalt handles the fact that he is surrounded by witches. I really enjoy reading about these women and the adventures that they are involved in.

On top of the clock mystery, we have a man that’s wants Juliette to find a book. Something is not right with the situation but no one can figure out what is going on until it is too late. I can’t wait to see Juliette become more confident in life and magic.

Great story

Not that I wouldn't want to see more Cassie POV books, but I can hope for books from all the Bruh share perspectives. I really don't need the assault at knife or gun point, learning to overcome long held beliefs that hold you back is in my opinion more relatable, and more exciting. Some stories frame this inner growth in sports, or crime, this uses learning to cope with the responsibility of magical talent as the catalyst. Given the healthy percentage of people with psychic abilities, this seems very relatable, especially since our culture teaches us that such abilities are dangerous. Of course people would be hesitant to embrace them, even in a magic-dense community. I love that she admits "I don't know how it works!"
Still, the American Society of Dowsers says that they can teach 90% of adults to dose (find things, like Juliette does) the first time, and 100% of children. But it's so normal for people to wonder if it's not an unfair advantage, if not something worse. I hope we see dozens more books about these delightful and exceedingly human characters.

This is the 6th book by this author that I've read in less than 6 days! I love them! This one was suspenseful and very interesting. Now I have to wait until the end of June for the next book int the series!!

Amazon synopsis:
Juliette just wants to run her bookshop, recommend great reads, hunt for treasures at estate sales, and savor quality time with her family and friends.

Her magic has other plans.

The emerging magical ability to return lost things to their owners has thrown her a curveball. She can’t communicate with someone who’s dead…or can she?

As she races against time to reunite lost loves and right tragic wrongs, Juliette is handed the power to finally overcome her chronic anxiety and debilitating panic attacks. But at what cost?

Will the help of a familiar fortune teller, her closest friends, and found family be enough for Juliette to battle the entity threatening her happiness? Or is she destined to be on her own forever?

If you love a light cozy mystery and you love a witchy story, Spelled With A Kiss the book for you. (Actually, this is the series for you.) Rosenberg pens a delightfully fun and quick read. Her protagonists are a bit on the anxious side – which I can relate to – but they all seem to come into their own over the course of her series, and this one is no different. A magical building, new witchy powers, quirky characters – it has all the pieces for a delightful story. The lightest of this month’s reads and a nice change of pace.

One Bad Grimoire Can Spoil A Lot

WyrdWords2

Juliette Mathews is more verbal about her finding talents, but, her anxiety is ratcheting. That ability is attracting all sorts of attention, not all of it nice. And for a child who was often overlooked and ridiculed by adults, the spotlight is a dangerous place.

But, Juliette has more spunk than that. And more friends and family than those long ago women ever dreamed to have. And, she has Harvey, her raccoon familiar, who calms her panic spirals. Now, if she can just learn to be a friend back.

Love this series!

Starting with the prologue series into this one gives me the enhanced ability to escape from this world knowing others are also struggling with problems. I'm a Juliette, Cassie & a touch of everyone else. It's lovely to identify with characters. And while I consider this my silly, decadent escape from my life it's the only thing left that gives me hope. Now only if I could morph into these beautifully written books. Please keep writing these joys & putting hope into the world. Thank you.

Spelled With a Kiss is book #2 in the Wyrd Words & Witchcraft series by Jessica Rosenberg.

This was an entertaining book, Juliette is growing on me, and Harvey, the rescued raccoon, the Cougars, and Claws, the Brewhahas, and so many others are wonderful characters. I like Juliette’s growth in this book. Her magical finding ability led to an interesting mystery. I look forward to the next book!

Spelled With a Kiss: Book 2

Really glad to have read this one too. Juliette hasn't always been a lucky person, but because of her mean grandma witch, she has finally developed friendships and even interesting neighbors. Her bookstore is rich with books and lots of customers of all ages. She has been so sheltered her whole life, but her life is enriched with a rescue raccoon and two men for friendship or at least dates. Fun!!

I have just fallen in love with Juliette more and more as this story and series has gone on. Her development and growth in these books has been an absolute joy to read!! I’ve loved watching her start to be kinder to herself and to allow her friends to get genuinely closer to her, she deserves it! I’m truly sad that this is the last of the series so far, I’m not ready to say goodbye to Portney and all these wonderful characters. Keeping my fingers crossed there are more coming!!

Another wonderful addition to the series! I loved Cassie’s life in the first books, now we learn the inside workings of Juliette. I really can’t get enough of this series! Some mystery and trouble, but so rooted in friendship that you’re always left smiling. I feel as though I’m a silent member of the Brewhahas! Sad this book brings me up-to-date in the series!! Sooo looking forward the next one coming this spring!!! Keep them coming!!!!! :)

Read this book!

I am in love with this series!!!! The author must have magical powers! The characters are so real and believable... I was having anxiety attacks myself! Also and most importantly, without giving away the last part, how did the author know about my florally named best friend, AND the words I needed to hear? This author is truly gifted and I have a forever favorite writer. Jessica-_you are a literary witch! Thank you for your gifts.

Relatable characters, great cozy read

I love how the main character has anxiety and panic attacks. That may sound crazy but it's not something you see in the hero of a book. It is very relatable and pulls me into the story. I am loving these books. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes cozy reads, especially those that are anxious on occasion. It has many coping strategies written into the story.

I did not like this series as well as I did the Kitchen Witch series. The description of her anxiety and panic made me very uncomfortable. Too much time was spent describing it Overall, I thought her powers were not as fun and the books were darker. Even the Racoon didn’t win me over. Juliette is not my favorite character. She always seems like she’s teetering on the brink and couldn’t be trusted to have your back.

Wow. While I enjoyed this book overall, it was definitely more on the dark side for Rosenberg's books. There is literally an evil book in this story, so that's a big part of it. However, I loved watching more of the raccoon's antics. I also like that the people in J's life are showing her that they love her for her and she can overcome her past, definitely a good moral to read in this day and age. The ending was cozy and happy so that was the overall redemption for me.

Juliette has magical abilities and she is still learning how to handle them. She has an unusual pet that helps her with her anxiety. Quite an enjoyable story with a touch of love. Welcome to the paranormal word. I can only recommend this book.

Always delightful!

Once again, Rosenberg delights readers with a fun, cozy witchy fantasy tale. This one features our bookstore heroine, Juliette, and her interesting magical ability of helping missing things find the proper owner. In this instance her ability seems to expand into another realm. I truly enjoyed this one!

Spelled with a Kiss book 2

Another enjoyable book by Jessica Rosenberg. She has quite a fantastic imagination for the paranormal story telling. The characters have grown very fond of each other and the reader tries to figure what is going to happen next. You don't figure it out until the end.

More powers by the hour!

Juliette thought all her powes were finding the right book for someone. Needless to say, she didn't get the memo of what was to come. When her life was in danger once again, she realised her magic was getting even stronger, and discovering new bits could be very frustrating, but could it help too

Every item holds a story

Some items hold a story of love and loss. And some of power so strong it corrupts. Tybalt and Juliette work together at estate sales to find books for resale. Word spreads about Juliette's luck in finding items and she is approached by a powerful man with a request she is unable to deny. She finds out her friends and Harvey are more powerful than evil.

Juliette is growing into such a strong person, slowly slowly releasing the potential she'd hidden away for so long. I love watching her transformation. The story was a lot of fun, with all the different threads—the letters, the various grimoires, and Juliette herself. Lots of fun.
I can't wait for the next one!

What a fun read!

Witches, ghosts and werewolves. Oh my! Where to start, witches that are friends and relatives have such great adventures in and out of the enchanted book store. Throw in a fortune teller, a raccoon plus a few "normal" people and you have a good read that has you laughing and wanting more.

WELL WRITTEN AND INTERESTING, this book was quite entertaining. I have a weakness for ghost and bookshop stories. The fortune teller and the raccoon were my favorites as well as the book store owner. RECOMMENDED CLEAN MAGIC BOOK.
