AS MUCH AS I LOVE TO READ I JUST COULDN'T GET INTO THE BOOK. FOR SOME REASON I FELT LIKE IT WAS ALL OVER. I DEFINITELY ENJOY READING THIS AUTHOR, BUT THIS BOOK DID NOT KEEP ME

Great Read
Scarlett losing her biological mother and father at a young age probably was the best thing for her but it left her scarred mentally. I just hate she lost her little sister in the accident but her mother and father traumatized her. Especially her mother selling her as a child. However Alicia adopting her and treating her as if she gave birth to Scarlett didn't change her way's. Scarlett grew up to be scandalous. She had no business screwing Pierce trifling ass. It wasn't hard to figure out why Pierce married Essence and what his plans was. I wasn't too shocked that Essence mother Rachel and her Aunt Alicia caught Pierce and Scarlett in an uncompromising position after what happened to Essence. Scarlett is clueless about a lot of stuff Pierce has done to try to get in good with Sosa. Pierce was too arrogant and didn't give a damn but I believe he will suffer when the truth about him comes out. Sosa is nasty. I don't care how rich and fine he is but he's reckless when it comes to sex. He raw dog and put his mouth on women he don't know. He also couldn't be that street smart because if he was he would've realized Merci little ass was young and not a grown woman and that Pierce ain't as loyal as he think he is. The fact he brought that lame ass lie Pierce told him how he had gotten out of jail should've sent up a red flag. Also Pierce has figured out what went down between Sosa and Scarlett when he was in jail. He's really out for revenge now. Merci mother is pitiful condoning her underage daughter to become a stripper and try to trap Sosa. I don't agree with Merci brother putting his hand's on her but I did laugh when he told Sosa the truth about Merci. Merci getting revenge on her brother didn't go as plan and I don't think her telling Sosa she's pregnant is going to workout in her favor either. The way this ended was jaw dropping. Pierce has burned bridges and a plan he thought was solid has actually backfire.

This story has a lot of secrets as well as betrayal. Pierce is just no good a low down dirty snake he's all about self and trying to make a come up. Scarlett has been dealt a hand since she was younger starting with her parents and the way her mother pimples her causing her to become pregnant hate her baby sister had to die but the parents got exactly what they deserved. Can't wait for part 2

That was good. Entertaining and engaging. I enjoyed the ride, but I'm a little sad that I didn't pay attention to it not being a standalone. Had I known I would have waited for part 2 to come out. Pierce is crazyyyy. Scarlett probably needs to just go on and head back home now. Sosa is a wild boy. Ready to see how these ppl straighten out this mess bc babyyyyy they got it going on! Part 2 me pleaseeeeeeee

Author Black Lavish kept my interest on high while reading this series. I did not particularly like Sosa’s character but I found myself wanting to know his next moves. Usually I’m pretty good at predicting the outcome for most characters but I missed the boat with Pierce and Merci. The outcome for them was not what I expected. After reading, I recommended this series to my sister to read while flying in from the island. Great read!!

Wow!!!! That was juicy!!! Scarlett had a very shaky foundation!! She was dealt a difficult hand from day one. Then she met Pierce! He had Essence. So there was a little tangled web going on! Things got worse but this book was very interesting reading!! I was on the edge of my seat. So this cliffhanger ending means there will be a part 2! I loved it!!!!!

There was a lot of secrets, and shady stuff happening. Scarlett has been dealt a crappy hand in life and it doesn't seem to be getting any better.
Pierce is trash, and I can't wait to see what happens to him.

This read really had me like wait a minute. On some real love overboard type vibe. The more the story began yo unravel, the faster I was sliding the page. Scarlett and Pierce on some grimy type of time. An emotional roller-coaster with a thunderstorm a brewing. A must read.

Okay Pierce is a straight fool. Very reckless with everything. He has so much going on it’s funny. All his ways are catching up to him. Then Scarlett always going stupid things for love. I can’t wait to find out what else happens in the next book.
