Interesting read about buddhism beginning and its development in China. The author shows his deep knowledge and love of this philosophy. Some of the parts of the book are written based on pure faith but it still tries to keep an objective point of view. The historical review and analysis made are really good.
Good book to know more about buddhism, unfortunately is too focused in chinese buddhism. If you are interested in an overall and more balanced view of buddhism this might not be the text. Either way I really liked its read and got many good things from it.
