An excellent, often witty selection of children's stories; the kind that an adult appreciates almost more (I am thinking of The Hookywalker Dancers and the wolf's version of Little Red Riding Hood in particular) To someone who thinks that Dr Seuss is the height of children's writing, these stories by great English writers might not appeal as they are often quite sophisticated.
