Türk destancılık geleneğini "anlatıcı" unsurunu da göz önünde bulundurarak detaylı biçimde inceleyen bir kitap. Ayrıca Türk anlatı geleneğini; metin ve bağlam arasındaki ilişkiyi kavramak için de mutlaka okunması gereken bir eser. Metin Ekici çevirisi olması da ayrı bir güzellik.
