Here is some brief information about myself.

I’m interested in science because it helps us to understand the world. I enjoy finding out about new things and then working out how to write about them in a way that is both clear (and accurate) but which also conveys my own excitement and interest. I particularly like writing books that are fun, and I have been lucky to have had so many chances to do so.

I was born in Yorkshire in England, but grew up in Stranraer, a small town in south-west Scotland. I graduated from Edinburgh University and then came down to London, where I have lived ever since. I enjoy reading novels, watching films, and walking in the countryside.

I enjoyed this fun read about a week in the life of a circus performer.
The book is written in a first person diary format, and highlights the many varied duties the performers do in addition to their performing. The young fellow highlighted in this story is a juggler and acrobat, and he also gives local children juggling lessons, is a sometimes ticket taker, then helps take the circus down, clean up, and put everything back up in a new city! There is much for all the performers to do.
There are plenty of live action circus photos that will keep youngsters entertained and engaged in this bright, modern look at a small traveling circus.
