Read if you:

Enjoy action focused sci-fi
Like your protagonist to be vengeful, but trying to do the right thing [Hero Guy]
Dig an assortment of alien races with their own motives and eccentricities
Enjoy 'Mass Effect' vibes in literary form

Avoid if you:

Prefer complicated, speculative sci-fi
Get allergies when facing traditional genre tropes
Desire mystery and exploration over space battles and adrenaline fueled combat
Don't like anyone screwing with your biblical creation myths

The Screws That Bind:

"Ancient Nemesis From Space"
Nebulous Human / Alien Alliances in Space
Action [Ships, Infantry]
Sorrow->Revenge->Redemption Cycle

Aftertaste: Tears, Struggle and Spare Parts

Lines To Adore:

"The sky was black, choked with clouds of smoke and free-flying ash, almost like snow. High reaching fires raged all around, burning through debris and shelled out buildings and homes. Hane felt the warmth of tears welling behind his eyes as he stared at the remains of Paradiso Towers and the rest of the skyscrapers that no longer stretched into the skies.

"Sarah," he said to himself."

Author: Andrew Saxsma, male, Editor.

Personal Bias: I enjoyed it. It was like Andrew chucked in hours of Mass Effect playtime, threw in a sprinkle of Haegemonia, baked with his own craft and produced Lonely Moon. I'd buy the second novel [Even if the cliffhanger was a classic Sci-Fi tv show line]
