*****Profanity This book is probably more appropriate for older teens & adults.**** Three months after Sage Hannigan time warps a hundred years into the past and saves the future as we know it, she is still trying to come to grips with all the has gained…and all that she has lost. All of her searching hasn’t turned up Cerberus Society or any creatures of the night and she’s beginning to wonder if she’s gone crazy after all. The only things keeping her grounded are her sparring sessions with Matt and her weekly ritual of scouring the city for low lives to kick the crap out of, and even that can’t keep her dreams free of the heartache and bitter sweet memories she has come to loath and…to cherish. When blasts from the past; good, bad, and evil, come knocking on her door, will she be able to do what she has to even if it means having her barely-healing heart ripped to shreds?

OMG this book is so super amazing!!! I didn't think Contingency could be topped, but Peggy Martinez did it! Relativity has everything I love in a book. The pages were filled with action that kept me bouncing on the edge of my seat and humor that made me crack up so hard. Relativity also has romance and passion which are just the icing on the cake. I will warn you though, she got me again with a cliffhanger to beat all cliffhangers. I am dying to get my hands on the next book as soon as it comes out. I can't tell you how many times I found myself surprised and majorly shocked at some of the events that took place. Peggy Martinez has delivered another top notch book!!

Relativity begins 3 months after Sage warped back to her own time. I felt the heartache she felt being yanked from the ones she had grown to care for in 1904. The emptiness of her own time was almost too much to handle, but Sage is a strong and determined woman. That quality alone makes me like her, but add her sarcastic humor and kick a** fighting skills and you have the best of everything! I can't get enough! Here is an example of what I mean, I nearly peed my pants laughing so hard.

"Oh, that's right. You started a new job today, didn't you?" he asked as he began removing his gear. I snorted and his brow shot up. "That bad, huh?" "You could say that. I broke a guy's nose and got fired all in the first hour."

Soren is back and hotter than ever! He is so charming and knows exactly how to make my, I mean Sage's heart race. I was so excited throughout Relativity because you get to know more about Soren and how deep his feelings really go. I couldn't have been happier to see Sage turn to him for support and affection. I honestly cheered for him, but who knows what will happen in the end. I will keep my fingers crossed that Soren gets his HEA.

I want to say so much more, but I am afraid I will give too much away. The Sage Hannigan Time Warper Series is one of my all time favorite series. The writing and story is phenomenal. I am addicted to the world Peggy has created and cannot wait to find out what happens next! 1 million stars!!!

I gotta get this out of my system!! OH MY WOW Peggy!!! I can’t believe you left it like that!!! I mean, I can barely breathe!!!!

I do have to say – I loved Contingency….but I REALLY loved Relativity. The depth of Peggy’s writing has gotten so much more intense!! The character development…the emotion behind them…I mean, it was good in Contingency, but WHOA in Relativity.

I am absolutely in love with Sage and Soren. I was so glad that Sage didn’t lose everyone totally in this one. At the end of Contingency, I cried for her.

I would have been ok had all new “friends” been introduced, but I literally squee’d out loud when Soren was introduced again. And the way that their relationship developed was just stellar. What is it about a sexy-ass vampire that is so freakin’ appealing? J

And then, OMG, when Aldwin comes BACK into the mix….I about died!! Part of me was hoping it would happen, but then another BIGGER part of me was like, “NOOOOOO!!!!” I want to see Sage with Soren!!! LOL. But I have a feeling there are going to be some twists and turns with that part of the romance before it’s all said and done.

I love this whole “warper” world that’s been created!! Just when Sage thinks she has it kinda figured out…there is something else to be amazed at. She’s so bad-ass!! And I love her!! And she’s only going to get more bad-ass….especially now that she….well….I can’t give it all away now!!

The best books are the hardest reviews for me to write. There's so much more that I want to say, but I don't want to give too much away. I already feel like I may have!!

It’s going to be so hard waiting for #3!!!

This has quickly become one of my new favorite series!!! Peggy is a force to be reckoned with….I see amazing things coming for this woman!!!

Five MORE Reasons I LOVE this Series...
Relativity (A Sage Hannigan Time Warper Novel #2)
by Peggy Martinez
You can read the first 5 reasons with my review of Book #1, Contingency (FREE eBook Download Links).

#1- The characters! I love them all! Sage is strong and kick ass. She is a survivor and I don't know how she is ever going to choose between Aldwin and Soren. They are both so sigh worthy but I admit I'm kind of leaning towards Team Soren. Heck, the author even had me feeling sorry for the bad guy by the end of the story.

#2- World building! I love the time travel elements. Everything weaves together seamlessly as we get a look into Sage's tragic past and gain a better understanding of where her powers originate from.  Book 2 doesn't have the long distance (far past) time travel that book 1 has but instead explores Sage's childhood which serves as great character building for Sage.

#3- More heartbreak, adventure, love, joy, pain, battles, and magic make Book 2 a big win. I read book 1 and book 2 back to back within two days and can't stop thinking about this series. I just love it. It is definitely going on my favorites list for this year.

#4- Surprises! I love surprises and Relativity delivers them in abundance! Who is the mysterious club owner? Who is the angsty teenager that shows up to fight? Does butt head vampire Abe actually have redeeming qualities? Surprise! You need to read the book to find out but you won't be disappointed.

#5- This series rocks! It is great fantasy, paranormal, romance fiction and I just L-O-V-E it! You know what happens when I get this excited about a book....You will see it again....and again....and again...until I hound you into reading it. :)

Book 1, Contingency is FREE!

Chapter One, Paragraph One --Relativity by Peggy Martinez

I stood there with my hands on my hips trying to decide which was more disturbing--the fact that I'd just punched some idiot in the face right in the middle of Taco Hut and enjoyed it or that I'd done it while wearing a mini-sombrero and a name tag that read: "Hola! Mi nombre es Sage!"

hat can I say? It was better than the first! So many questions were answered, thank God, but so many more came up. There were quite a few twists and turns in the second installment of the Sage Hannigan, Time Warper series.

There were a few things that I mentioned to Peggy that I wanted to happen in this book, and when she told me I would be happy, I had no idea how close I was to actually getting everything I asked for!

We gets lots more time with the yummy goodness of Mr. Black, also known as Sir Blackwell. There are so many things I would do to that man... I am also proud to say that Sage stays true to her feelings, for the most part anyway, and that is something that is rare in books like this lately.

But, my God, the end! Talk about a cliff hanger. Well, not really a cliff hanger. Ok, it is a cliff hanger. So many things happen in this book that once you get to the end you are thinking that there surely isn't anything that will surprise you, and then BAM! BAM! BAM! And you're sitting, looking at the pages (screen?) with your mouth gaping open waiting to catch flies.

The next book in this series is not going to get here soon enough for this girl. Thankfully, there is a novella available that I can read to tide me over, and another in the works (isn't Peggy so thoughtful?!).

The only thing about reading this book that I missed about the last was the clothes. I missed reading about all of the amazing clothes that Sage got to wear in 1904. I really hope we get to experience that again before the end of the series!

After traveling back in time, falling in love, and finding her own inner warrior, Sage Hannigan is pulled back to her own time in the present day. Away from the agency who taught her how to use her gifts and from her true love Aldwin, and her bond-mate Soren. She feels the loss of these two men deeply, and channels her energy into trying to find supernatural creatures in the present day, and some vigilante side work. Finally Soren makes an appearance, and the rest of her other-worldy friends follow. Including Aldwin, who she assumed was a simple doctor. Anger and relief war inside Sage that Aldwin was able to let her go so easily, and never came to find her. Little does she know there is a reason he hasn't, but he can't share it with her yet, unless he wants to die. Sage decides to just settle in with Soren, as they find that another Warper has been kidnapped and there is a prophesy about three warpers combining powers to stop the end of the world. Sage and friends are led on a wild goose chase and though they find the missing warper, the attack on the world as we know it has started. In the end, Sage makes a decision she feels will be best for all her friends, and ultimately herself. Everything is up in the air and no one knows if they will be safe or if anyone ever will. It was such a cliffhanger ending, and I really, really can't wait until the next book.

I loved this book so much! Peggy Martinez has an unbelievable knack for making the reader's heart ache for her characters and she does it yet again, and beautifully I might add, in this installment of the Time Warper Series. If you've read Contingency then you’ll know how heartbreaking the ending was- prepare yourself to share the character's grief all over again.

For the very first time I'm actually torn on the love triangle and not of an opinion which character the leading lady should end up with. Both men are extremely likable characters and the thought of either getting their heart broken is extremely depressing. Bravo to the author for this, in a time when love triangles are a dime a dozen she has taken a story element that had the potential to be cliché or dull and turned it into something bitter sweet and addicting.

This book was a fabulous follow up to Contingency. It lived up the high standard of its predecessor and dare I say, even exceeded it in some aspects. The character development was great. The plot was fun and fast paced setting up an exciting path for book three. It's a terrific read if you're looking to swoon over the vampire bad boy, feel the pain of the characters and cheer on the leading lady.

The saying "time flies when you are having fun" seems flippant in this regard as Sage loses 100 years in a blink of an eye and also the people that she cares about. Adjusting to being back in the real world is not going well and having to deal with losing Aldwin is devastating so much so that Sage has cut herself off emotionally from everything. Then almost by accident after torpedoing her last job, she runs into Soren in a nightclub. So how does missing someone for 100 years work out when you are finally face to face with them? Sage not only has to deal with her unresolved feelings for Soren, she has to deal with a few more surprises when old friends resurface. Loyalties will be tested and she will be forced to confront her feelings when faced with her past. On a mission to find the vampire that killed her parents, Sage will relive that age old conundrum "If you could turn back time and save those you love despite knowing it would alter your future, would you do it?".

The ending was such a surprise given Sage's history, this series has become quite addictive and I am anxiously waiting for the next one to be released.

Totally loved this book.....was so glad to see Sage's old friends surface again, as I was heart broken at the end of Contingency, when Sage warped back in 2004 & was all alone! Also loved how we get to know Soren more in this book & he finally gets to hock up with Sage. Then throw Aldwin back into the mix & we're back to the old love triangle (I'm a sucker for a love triangles & wouldn't want to have to make that choice, as I love both characters, which is unusual as there is usally one love interest that calls out more to me that the other??). Sage's new friends are just as likable as the supporting old ones lefted behind in 1904. Loved how this book just sucked you in from the start & I couldn't put it down! There are parts of this book that are so sad that they made me cry, for Sage's pain! Peggy totally submerges you into Sage's world, makes you care so mach that you are literally aching along with Sage on her journey. Can't wait for the next book, looks like we are going to go down the road of a dystopian/end of the world gendre, my next favourite after vampire books, this series just keeps getting better & better!

Relativity handled itself as a great 2nd book in a series. The continued story of a "Time Warper" named Sage kept my interest throughout the entire book. I like how Sage grew emotionally - even though it truly was only over a "few" months. A lot happens with her team of Fae's & Vampires. She learns of some events from "her" past and for the 1st time takes someone with her on her "warping" episode. This story has Sage dealing with many emotions from Love, Hate, Anger & Sorrow. The story ends with a her meeting more of her kind and how she handles it. It also leaves plenty room for "more" story because when I was done reading I wanted "more". Peggy Martinez has opened my mind and made me make room with this series of hers for a "new" supernatural series. I am enjoying getting to know a different kind of character and heroine = Sage Hannigan. I plan to read her 2.2 novel, Brevity. And I am waiting anxiously for her 3rd book in the series to come out soon.

Sage is back in her own time and her heart is broken. Her love is back in 1904 and she has to go on with her life without him. She finds a new job as a bouncer at a club and puts her bad ass warper skills to use. But what happens when she meets the club owner and suddenly the past catches up to her?
I love this continuation of Sage’s story. She’s hurting and her heartbreak is so present you can’t help but feel her pain. She’s got a new mission and she’s having to deal with having her heart torn in two. This is such a great series. I love the action and drama. This series reminds me of the Embrace series by Jessica Shirvington. I love it and I wonder why it isn’t more popular. Sage is my hero!
5 stars for Relativity book 2 in the Time Warper series!!

Back in the year 2004, Sage has become a vigilante. She searches the streets for vampires and instead finds human beings committing crimes. She loses a job within an hour because she knocks out a man for bragging about beating his girlfriend. Sage is reunited with Soren and is immediately unsure about their relationship. “I was pretty sure he wasn't going to pass me a “check yes or no” note though.” This line made me laugh. So very high school. Guess one can always been uncertain about how a boy feels even when said boy is a vampire. This book has romance, action, preternatural conspiracies and killer vampires. I love Sage's stories so much. This has become one of my favorite series.

Fabulous! Loved!
Peggy Martinez has done it again. Relativity jumps off the pages and grabs you. Hold on tight because if you thought Sage had a hard way before you have not seen anything yet. She is haunted by her dreams and the past becomes her present. I was holding my breathe and clutching my kindle. I just need to say this Soren and Aldwin! Oh my!! This book has it all and more! Suspense, good and evil. The ending left me breathless and staring at the screen. I want, no I need the next book now!

This is an absolute must read series, hands down. Peggy does a great job reintroducing the characters and shaking things ups a bit at the same time. No spoilers here!! Just know that when you start this book you aren't going to want to put it down. The writing is so powerful it's like you are on the emotional roller coaster with Sage. Soren is still my favorite by far but Aldwin great too :) You need to read it. Nothing here is disappointing. I'm here waiting for book 3 to drop.

This book was even better than the first one and that was hard to beat! I LOVE the characters! I LOVE both Aldwin and Soren and normally I don't love both guys in a love triangle scenario. This book made me cry and go through all sorts of emotions but I was never mad at it which is refreshing. I LOVE the cover! To be honest, the cover was the reason I read these books! And I am certainly glad I did! I can't wait for the next book! Seriously, I want to read it right now! Loved it! <3

Good sequel. Different than the first book as it takes place in present date (well 2004) so no time travel to the early 1900s this time. Pieces are starting to fall into place. We learn more about Aldwin and Sage's past. There is now a love triangle, sometimes I hate love triangles because then it turns into "oh I don't know what to do or who do I love more?!" Guess we'll see what happens with that in the next book. Looking forward to the next book!

Book 2 in the Sage Hannigan Time Warper series has adventure, magic, and time travel!

While there is still time travel in Book 2, Sage doesn't warp as far back as she did in Book 1. However, by warping to her childhood, we learn more about her parents and the tragedy that made Sage an orphan. I felt this served to add yet another layer to Sage's personality.

There were new characters to get to know, and I enjoyed learning more about Soren especially.

Though it needs to be edited, the story is engaging and the characters unique.
