This is a great read from a couple in missions for years. This book was how God confirmed my calling. Prior to reading it, God had asked me to trust him and jump ‘off the cliff’ I found myself standing on. I heard Him say if I didn’t trust and jump that he would pass over me and give the work He had for me to someone else. I jumped in. Then - purchased this book because the author is a cousin and I was entering mission work myself. Lon has a way of bringing the joys and challenges on the page to testify of God’s faithfulness.
