Cody Simpson is an LA-based Australian who's meteoric rise to fame is matched only by his incredible artistic talent. Simpson has progressed as a writer, musician, and celebrity at an astounding pace; from uploading videos on YouTube from his home in Australia to selling out tours around the world, Cody is one of the most marketable artists of his generation. When he's not touring or surfing, he's honing his craft on the typewriter creating new pieces of poetry.

Simpson is an artist who brings an authentic and organic writing style well beyond his years. After penning and singing #1 songs with Justin Bieber and Flo Rida, Simpson turned inward, wanting to express himself in more artistic and dynamic ways. Still a massive force to be reckoned with in the world of music, Cody is now ready to take on the world of writing as PRINCE NEPTUNE.

Originally read in December 2013!

This was a Christmas present from my parents almost four years ago and after coming home from a creative writing workshop and feeling under the weather because of the heavy rain, I decided to pick up a book that I honestly enjoyed and made me smile. That was Cody Simpson's autobiography Welcome To Paradise.

Welcome To Paradise follows the life of Cody as he grew up living on Gold Coast, Australia and training as a swimmer and competing before the music world came calling. He also talks about his musical inspirations, family, songwriting and his experience on YouTube.

What I loved about this book:
- It was bright, colourful and visual
- Cody's honesty about moving from Australia to LA
- The order of the chapters

One final point, Cody's music helped me a lot during some really rough times a few years ago so I'm grateful for his singing/songwriting and how much of a joy it was to listen to it.

Cody Simpson's autobiography, "Welcome to Paradise: My Journey," was published in 2014. The book chronicles his rise to fame as a teen pop star, from his early days as a YouTube sensation to his signing with Atlantic Records. It also contains details about his personal life, including his relationships with family and friends, and stories from the road.

In the book, Simpson talks about his passion for music and how it has been a driving force in his life. He also emphasizes the importance of staying true to himself and being honest with himself and others. This is a theme that has been present throughout his career

To be honest, some of his written marks here on this book are became a real-time chore as of today, having his degree in swimming and have an idiology of family into his private living, Hoping this book definately shooked me a reason on inspirative the Canadian rising artist likewise to inspire to other people, and I wanted this book to be signed by himself as I used to 😏

Read this review along with others on my blog by following this link: https://bibliomad.wordpress.com/

So, late last night, I couldn't sleep, having just finished a really good book, causing my mind to be very much awake. I knew that I wanted to read to wind my brain down, but I didn't want to read anything intense or long. Then, when I saw this book when flicking through the carousel on my Kindle, I knew it was finally time to pick it up.
I bought this book pretty much when it was released, but I never actually got around to reading it until now. This book managed to remind me how much I truly like, and respect Cody Simpson. Whilst many people view him simply as a teen pop-star, many forget how young he actually is:
At the age of 13, Cody was offered a record deal, and at the same age released his first single, and first EP. He then went on to release his first album at 15, his second at 16, and a third acoustic album again at 16. Finally, he released his most recent album at the age of 18 earlier this year. This is more success than many artists ever achieve, yet Cody is humble, mellow, and has never let it go to his head like many young stars have done in the past.
That is what I like about Cody Simpson.
This book isn't bragging rights, or simply a quick story telling how Cody came into the light, but instead a story of how a 13-year-old aspiring Olympic swimmer leaped at the chance to become a recording artist. Nothing in Cody's life has been handed to him on a plate - he has worked for it all, and this book truly reflects his determination when it comes to music.
Cody Simpson deserves every success.

My Review: Do you know just like Justin Bieber, Cody Simpson was discovered on You Tube. And if your child is a fan of Cody they will love to read all about how he started his music career.

FTC Disclosure: I received a review copy of these books HarperCollins Publishing in exchange for a fair and honest review. I was not monetarily compensated for my opinion in any way.

I am not in the same age demographic, but this book is incredible. We get a glimpse of the day-to-day world of show biz, while talking about his life before fame where Cody's interests focused on family and swimming. If you're a fan or not, please check it out.
