Parts of this were required reading in boot camp, and I read the rest of this periodically through my service in the Navy. Good, solid basic information on the history of the navy, it's tools and structure, and how and why it operates.

I got this book in NROTC in college. It's a textbook full of Navy stuff. Not much else to say about it.
