★★★★★! Surrendered, book 3 (Glass Towers Trilogy). The epic conclusion of Harrison’s & Danielle’s story filled with off -the-charts sex, lies, deceit, secrets, suspense, greed & danger!

IF YOU HAVEN’T PEEKED AT THE AUTHORS’ DESCRIPTION OF BOOK 2 & 3– PLEASE DON’T! YOU WILL ENJOY BOOK 1 MORE WITHOUT IT. I HAVE AIMED TO KEEP MY REVIEW VAGUE.

The Glass Towers trilogy is the story of small-town interior designer Danielle and larger-than-life, enigmatic and possessive international business mogul Harrison Towers. What starts off as of-the-charts sex will soon turn into a romance against all odds. Their story is marred with secrets and intrigue, surprises and scandals, mysteries and above all danger. There are several villains set on breaking them apart, stalkers with missions so sinister it will span all three books. Be prepared to be swept away by their story!

Series is complete and consists of:
1) Champagne Showers
2) Shattered
3) Surrendered

SURRENDERED (BOOK 3) - MIGHT CONTAIN SOME MINOR SPOILERS

Hero: Harrison Giles Towers/French-Canadian/42 years old/business mogul/$$$$/sandy blond hair/crystal blue eyes
Heroine: Danielle Austen (formerly Pyne)/American/28 years old/owner of interior design firm/recently divorced/dark brown hair/blue eyes (later described as green?)

This is the conclusion of Harrison and Danielle’s story. Book 2 left us with yet another cliff-hanger. This series has offered everything from villains and stalkers to lies, deceit, blackmail and even… Without revealing too much I can say that book 3 will answer and clarify everything, but not before more drama and turmoil is stirred up that threatens to ruin it all. Their relationship will be tested yet again. The suspense will keep you at the edge of your seat, frantically reading until the very end!

I will say no more. I want you to enjoy the unfolding and conclusion as much as I did!

But if you need to know more about the ending, here is what I think: SPOILER!

My reviews of book 1 & 2 have provided my thoughts and feelings on Harrison and Danielle as well as quotes and tidbits into their personalities, budding romance as well as everything that is sex with Harrison:
“I move my hips in rhythm with his. He grabs my hands in his and laces his fingers with mine, while his hooded sex eyes lock onto mine.”

Here is yet another side to Harrison that hasn’t been as obvious in my previous reviews, him speaking sexy French to Danielle:
“In my ear, he whispers, “Vous voir bientôt mon amour, see you soon my love.”

“All for you my love, tout pour vous.”

“Est-ce que je peux avoir cette danse mon amour? May I have this dance my love?”

“Bonjour mon Coeur, Hello my heart.” He is practically purring into the phone.”

The Glass Towers trilogy is an excellent read. A spell-binding story with an amazing, larger-than-life and very memorable hero, Harrison Towers! Captivating! Suspenseful! Chocking! Euphoric! Thanks Adler / Holt!

I can also report that Danielle’s vivacious and spunky friend Simone Clarke, who has entertained us throughout this series will have her own book in late spring 2013. I am certain it will also provide some updates on Harrison and Danielle!

FROM GOOD TO BAD TO A RESOUNDING FLOP!!! March 21, 2013

This review is from: Glass Towers, Surrendered (Glass Towers Trilogy) (Kindle Edition)

What's up with this trilogy's? They start with the first book so good that perks up your interest and build up your enthusiasm, leave you with a cliffhanger that would put you in a state of pins and needles couldn't wait for the second book, only to find out it was not really a cliffhanger but just a cleverly and deviously put together scene to make you buy the next book. When you get to the second book you discover the author added just enough spice and intrigue to suck you in again into buying the 3rd and final book. And when you do get it, it's a complete DUD!

I was one of the reviewers who gave the first book ( Champagne Towers ) a five star rating because it was really good, it had a lot of witty dialogue and funny moments that made me laughed so hard. It had enough intrigue and shrouded with mystery that would make you feeling somewhat anxious you just want to get to the bottom of it. I refrained from giving a review on the second book ( Shattered ) because it was a bit disappointing. Besides, I hate to be the bearer of bad news telling everyone that it fell short to its promise. But this one? this one is a resounding FLOP! It became more of a soap opera it'll bore you to tears ( staring at my receding hairline in the mirror is probably more intriguing! oh yeah, I'm intrigue why it keeps receding! ) and I digress! This is a daily reaffirmation of Danielle how gorgeous Harrison is...how beautiful his abs and pecs and HE is all hers...how Harrison's sultry hooded eyes gets her so turned on, and let's not forget when he looks at her and bites his lips, she turns weak and gets her hot and wet and HE is all hers! ( wait, did I say that already? jeez, I'm becoming like Danielle now, a total bore! ) I suppose we can't blame the poor girl, what with Harrison biting his lips with his sultry hooded eyes, his beautiful abs and pecs...and yeah, HE is all hers...whatever!

Harrison and Danielle's character have become so inconsistent in this final book. where they were so matured, independent and trusting of each other in the first book, this one has Danielle being so suspicious and jealous of some of Harrison's innocent actions...getting so angry at him for not telling her she almost died when she was ill ( what? really? )This is such a convoluted story, with all the wealth Harrison has and constantly surrounded with experienced big hulk type of men as guards, and high tech heavy security detail, they were somehow rendered quite helpless and couldn't seem to control this deranged woman who's obsessed with Harrison. Believe me you can skip this one, that way you wouldn't have to put yourself to a test to see if getting your dog let you clean his ears more interesting than this one!

Mmmmmnnn! What to say...I really enjoyed the start of this trilogy. Harrison was cool, persuasive...and pursued Danielle against conflicting situations. The story of their courtship had angst, drama as well as passion & sweetness.

Onto Shattered and the story started to unfold. I guessed the players & by the end a situation had developed that left them in limbo...sort of!

I read Surrendered to finalise the story for me, but sadly found it repetitive, predictable & to be frank, boring. I kept going because I loved Harrison's unwavering love, but the scenes of passion started to appear stilted & repetitive :-( ...& I love a large dose of raw steaminess!

To conclude, I feel the story could have been condensed & would have had a more positive impact for me.

(Note) My reviews of this series comes after having read all three.

This installment begins in a very romantic way..with the twist from the ending of book two and the story behind what that was all about.
The threats continue to Danielle and Harrisons attempts to keep her safe while trying to maintain some semblence of normalty are admirable. This book was a little bit of a let down as the threat to Danielle comes to a anticlimatic end.....was hoping for a little more drama. Once again as in the other two books the sex was so predictible and frequent that I really skimmed thru each 4-5 pages of each session. I really hate to admit that...but it was that predictible and I just felt I could get to the heart of the story without reading all of it. Overall the series was OK...just not stellar.

So this series was a pretty big let down for a variety of reasons, from character development to editing it needs a complete overhaul! I write this having read all three books (after the apparent rewrite of the infamous "P" word) and find they all lacked the same qualities that I find necessary in a GOOD book. I felt this was amateur hour. For example:

1. Neither character is all that inspiring. You want to feel something for them, you can almost start to, but they both seem so shallow and one dimensional. Hero and heroine can have flaws and still be loved...think Christian Grey...these two read like 18 year old dunces.

1a. Harrison is supposed to be a mega wealthy mogul, but his security team isn't vetted and his lead guy "Albert" spends most of his presence watching reality tv and listening to sports on his ear buds? That character alone could have added a deeper level of drama and suspense. I appreciate the writers trying to bring out a more tender part of Harrison by book two, but it was too little too late...kisses on foreheads and "I love yous" mouthed across a room (repeatedly) do not a romantic make! Also, what was with the whole, "that's business" nonsense. If the writers had allowed Harrison to open up about his work stresses and challenges, we (and Dani) would have more incite into his life and him. We would care for him more! And why have him doubt the level of threat Marion posed throughout most of the three books? Really!!!? It seemed so obvious but the characters were written to be obtuse.

1b. Danielle...ugh this character!!! What a simpering, annoying cry baby that married towers and started sounding like a simpering annoying SNOBBY cry baby! She actually used the words "little chit" in describing a "housekeeper" who had eyes for her hubby. She came off so whiny. Yes she was in a terrible position, but all the crying, sobbing, whining and just plain stupidity were so unnecessary!!! Do something smart about it all for heavens sake!!! Stop throwing yourself on your bed and "sobbing your eyes out!" For instance, she's already been attacked while running, but she decided to go for another run the day after she returns married...fully aware that the stalker is out for blood. But does she choose a treadmill? Nope! She chooses a secluded part of the park on an isolated trail away from other runners and tells her security guard to stay in the car...oh ok says the dumb reality tv addict "security guard!" Really??? How dumb do you have to be??? Also if she ignored the unknown caller calls and referred to them as telemarketers one more time I was going to scream!! At Some point, not only are the writers insulting the intelligence of their characters, but they've started to treat the readers as imbeciles too!

2. The sex scenes. Ugh!! In book one I felt like there was a couple lines of dialogue, then several (5-6) pages of raunchy sex then a couple lines of dialogue and repeat! And it just kept going like that. The day to day relationship building moments took a major back seat and would be summarized in a couple lines the next day before another romp in a new "location" was dissected in the most graphic of details. Now I like erotica but this garbage read like a porno script. It would have been nice to read them converse and get to know one another and by converse I don't mean sitting at a restaurant, Harrison cutting Danielle off when she asks about his work, saying "that's business" (is that supposed to be hot??) and proceeding to "talk" about how much they want to do each other instead of being at dinner!! Yes those tidbits and moments can be hot and steamy, but not when that's how it is every single time they go anywhere!!! We get it!!! You're both horny! By books 2 & 3, there was a little more character development, excursions and adventures, but not much more in a meaningful way. They did fade away from a few sex scenes thankfully, so we got a break there but I still started to skim through most of the remaining sex scenes. There was absolutely NO, I mean ZERO!!!! Making love in any of these books. Not even after being injured and recovering for 6 weeks did we get a making love scene. Nope. Just pure raunch and "fucking" and "ramming" and "riding" and a plethora of other action verbs that left absolutely nothing to the imagination!!

3. Now not to be annoying, but the number of typos and grammar mistakes in these books was ridiculous. I just have to mention it! Really?!?! Get a better editor. And did it really take a "writing team" to come up with this story? Seriously? Cut half the sex scenes. Switch a few to making love scenes. Spend some time writing dialogue and back story for your main characters...then actually DEVELOP them and you got yourself a 350 page stand alone SINGLE book! Not a "trilogy!"

I could go on, but I think you get my point here. A lot wrong and not a heck of a lot right with these books.

so many problems with this series

1. if i had a wife who almost died why wouldn't i be runnin back ground checks on FREAKIN everyone who is new in my employment if the threat is still out there

2. if i had enough money to buy a tower and do all kinda places why would u fly first class and not charter a plane?

3. thank you.. for getting rid of the "P"

4. the flow is better in this book but i felt like so disconnect the char. i like the best was the bodyguard the family.. and that's pretty sad i should LIKE one of the main chars. i should care about one of them but i still feel like i dont know the hero.. and the chic i dont know i normally get some kinda girl crush but i got almost nothing..

I LOVED this trilogy!! Harrison Towers is the complete package! I love how he adored Danielle & how she adored him! Their chemistry was SIZZLING HOTT!!! I was so engrossed in this series that I'm truly sad it has ended! I think there could DEFINITELY be a 4th book! Crazy Marion could still cause havoc among Harrison & Danielle! I want to see them with little babies running around :) There is DEFINITELY potential for MORE story for these two & I want more of Garrin & Clarke :) Please Alder & Holt...one more book!!! I also want to see how the Country Manor turns out ;) I NEED MORE!!!! ;)

5 Stars!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this series. A good story line with lots of detail which kept me glued to the books the whole time.

Minimal editing issues on the third book but all in all these books were very HOT. Some of the scenes between Harrison and Danielle were so explicitly hot that I had to fan myself often.

I'm glad she got over her "P" issues in the 3rd book!

Oh, never use the word "sopping" that is just...eww! Lol

The first book was great. So I decided to read book 2 which was a little disappointing. I thought I'd read book 3 just to see the end of the series. What a let down considering how intriguing book 1 was.

After reading all 3 books, I have to say that I really did enjoy the last book. I will try to keep this review as spoiler free as possible.

First off, I was expecting an epilogue to this book, maybe a year down the line to see what happened with certain characters, and what the future held.

Book 2 and 3 definetly pick up and I did enjoy them a lot more than book 1. There were lots of twists and turns, that I did not expect and others I slowly figured out without knowing the full involvement. Again I loved the idea that Harrison was older while Dani was younger but everything that she went through made her wiser.

Loved the relationship between Dani and her best friend Simone. I loved the bond between them and how no matter what she struck through and was by her side!

The Harrison and Dani connection, although the book had lots of sex and some very hot an heavy and other times very predictable, I did enjoy this couple. I did find a times that there was a lack of connection between then and everything was more physical than emotional, but then other moments proved me wrong. Especially the trust that they were able to build, it was difficult but it is what held them. Harrison was a man of many secrets but on theme was his commitment to Dani and the relationship.

The interaction between parents was also sweet, it added character to the book and support during difficult. times.

One major turnoff in the first two books, that I was happy to see resolved in book 3 was the use of Dani's "P" to describe her female parts! During the sex scenes it would drive me crazy having that description, but I happy to have that resolved in book 3 and finally using what the word stands for!!!!! Other than that and little grammar issues, I did enjoy this series and would read more from this author.

Wow! Just wow. It's just like 50 shades without BDSM or crossfire series. I loved it!!!!!
The girl Danielle Austen seriously reminds me of Samanha Jones from SexAndTheCity. Haha. Funny,I know. But in the 1st two book all they do is hav sex. No.. They mate. All. The. Time !!

Harrison Tower. Alpha Male. Even when he's little old to my liking. He oozes sex. In the 1st two book I found the mix up of emotions. The girl is so unpredictable. In a situation you where you must feel sad,she gets angry, she cries for no reason, when they should be discussing and dealing with the big problems, they mate! they don't even talk about their problems together. when you think,oh thank god at last they are discussing something other then sex, they bring a new session of sex. Damn! she drives they guy insane, poor guy.I got too pissy by her attitude,I felt like just throwing the damn book and DNF it. Huh. Of course,I read it for Harrison. It was worth it.
Believe me! *sighs*

The 3rd book is soo much better. The author did a good work here. It was like a whole new book. It was more like a love story.they focus only on romance, dealing with their problems, future. I loved it soo much wish the 1st two books where written in the same way. Harrison is sick romantic. Ohh how much I wish he was real! He treats her like a queen. Ah, I even lived Clarke's character, she adds all the humor. With one bastard of an ex,Bradley and bitch,Marion. The story cover all the fights and action too.
“I lift my face to his and look deeply into his soul. What I see in his eyes, is my future, my soul melding with his.” .

4 stars for yet another beautiful love story.

I'm happy to say, that the book gets a solid 4 stars from me. I have read the reviews, and while some of the happenings of the book could be considered "predictable", I still enjoyed the book, and was happy to see a good conclusion for Harrison and Danielle. Considering the cover of the book, it's not a spoiler to say we get to see a wedding for Harrison and Danielle. I won't go into much more on that, since you need to read the book to see the magic in it. Of course, we also get a dramatic conclusion to bat shit crazy Marion and how Bradley was involved. AND.....the most important fact from the book is...DANIELLE FINALLY SAYS THE "P" WORD!! LOL

I think the writers may have taken some good notes from reviews on books 1&2 and made some adjustments, but that's my opinion. I could tell the writing style had changed a bit from the first 2 books, and I think that helped this books execution. I really enjoyed it, and I'd recommend it to the people that got through books 1 and 2 and enjoyed them....or just really REALLY need to know how the story ends. I'm happy that it seems from the final couple pages of the book, that we will get quirky Simones book in late spring.

The reviews on the final book of this trilogy aren't all that great, but I need to get through it to know what happens after investing my time and curiosity in the first and second books. I hope I don't feel the same as the majority, but we shall see.

What else can I say? WONDERFUL ending to this trilogy! I always love a happy ending when reading stories such as these. LOVE the fact that all three books are completely updated with the newest version with all the sexy and tantilizing words in them!! No more P...and hello sexy! There was some serious DRAMA in this third book....a happy ending yes, but not without a build up for your's truly. Damn I can so relate to this story in many ways. I was a Harrison like now. I can't wait to see if there will be a fourth book. PLEASE PUT OUT A $TH BOOK! Oh, and there is a sneak peek in this version of Simone Clarke's new series. I CAN"T WAIT till that comes out too. She was one of my favorite characters. Everyone needs a little Clarke in their lives. But right now, I will take a HARRISON GOD DAMN TOWERS! YUM! Slam me down, time me up, lick me up and down is right. Couldn't get enough! His signature line..."Look at me when...." dieling, just died every time I read that. So hot. AND the characters keep a running count of places and surfaces. LOVE THIS! Wonderful ending and love story. A MUST READ!

I have to say this book was the best of the three!! The writing was great and I liked the flow of the story. It was more realistic and I connected more with characters. I loved the dynamic of Dani and Harrison- they both held their own. Wow- I was really impressed with Dani she didn't take anyone's crap especially Harrison and that was refreshing because it was nice to see her voice her opinion and not always be in a sex induced haze with her hunky man. I liked that the sex wasn't in the forefront as much as the last two books, I mean I'm all for a good romp in the sack but these two barely came up for air!! However, their scenes together were very steamy!! It was nice to see how they genuinely loved one another and had to fight for their happiness. I liked how all loose ends were tied up and wow the scene with the wine witch was epic!! Talk about loco!! A fitting end to the series- although I would like to see if Dani and Harrison form a family. Can't wait to read about Simone (though I do hope she ends up with Garrin!!)

The last book in the series and i couldn’t wait to complete the story. what a fantastic last book to the series. Again this book was just as gripping as the last two and kept me reading long into the night, leaving me wanting more when I had finished. This book follows on brilliantly from the second as the story reaches it ending. What a fantastic series, really enjoyed all the romance, sex scenes added to with suspense and mystery. this is definitely a must read series that you'll love. I cant wait to read more from these authors.

Highly recommended

Surrendered is book #3 and the fantastic finale of the sensual Glass Towers Thrillogy. We find Harrison and Danielle returning home from a romantic week of tropical bliss to what certainly is going to be a shitshow. While Harrison's crazy ex, the maleficent Marion Devereaux, is still hell bent for leather, no one is safe, especially Danielle. Why can't Harrison and Danielle just be in love?!

This book was one steamy hot trip to crazy town! The intense passion and chemistry between Harrison and Danielle is stronger than ever. But Marion and her evil minions threaten to destroy all that is sexy and pure. We LOVED this Thrillogy especially all it's wicked twists and turns. Harrison Towers will always be our favorite pearl diver...Siiigh.

When I read the first book, I really liked the story. After the second book, I started to get a little tired of the stalking...But held on. I had to read this final book because of the cliffhanger (sort of) at the end of book 2. But this was the worst of the 3 books. There were a lot of typos.. in fact, there was even a whole paragraph that got repeated. The little quotes were consistently in the wrong place. I couldn't tell if she was actually talking or not because the quotes were in the wrong place... AND I really got tired of crazy Marion. By the time the story wrapped up, it was anti-climatic. I was disappointed with this book.

I was looking forward to the end of this trilogy, but closed the back cover in disappointment. It lacked suspense and was too predictable. I felt like it was rushed - like words were just put to paper to hurry up and end it all

Who edited this book? There were so many spelling, grammar and punctuation errors. In one chapter, a whole paragraph was repeated. I had to flip pages back and forth to actually make sure my Kindle 'turned' the page. Having to read through so many errors made the story less enjoyable.

I want to give these books a good review but I can’t. The characters didn’t seem believable to me. They fell in love so fast and it seemed they barely had any time to even get to know each other. I love sex scenes as much as the next person, but not when it replaces conversation and takes up 70% of the book. By the end of the series I found myself skimming through the sex scenes because I was bored of them. I also hated that there was only one real problem and antagonist throughout the whole series. I wanted more action.

Book 3 is a big disappointment. Book #2 is my favorite. Was I entertained by the series? Yes I was, but things became ho hum for me. The suspense from book #2 was lacking in book #3. My biggest complaint is the author became very long winded in describing things. I think part of my problem is I really did not like Harrison. He just kept spinning things for his benefit. Instead of listening to Danielle he used sex to avoid and distract, that became old. Danielle lost some of her independence which didn't sit well with me. Unfortunately I would not recommend this series.

Gripping conclusion to this trilogy. Loved the romance part of this story as well as the plot line. Thrilling conclusion where you are really involved in fighting and cheering for the heroine. NO SPOILERS HERE! A must read! Mr Harrison Towers is now my new fictional boyfriend. Wish I could find one in real life just like him.

I actually disagree with some of the other reviewers. I really enjoyed the first novel, thought second was a bit overextended on some themes/plot lines, but enjoyed the third novel and thought it wrapped up nicely. Could see evolution of their relationship and had a more realistic and less convuluted (sp?) resolution. Enjoyed the series and recommend to others!

5 stars. I love this whole series and loved Harrison and Danielle. Now there is a prequel out about Harrison so I'm excited to read that.

I am wondering though who took the picture on the beach from the first day Danielle sees Harrison with his surf board? She didn't even know him then, so why would someone take the picture?
