Stunningly beautiful collection of poetry. I will be rereading this for the rest of my life, and I was amazed at the depth of each short piece. A stanza from the work "Reflections on the St. Lawrence Seaway"-

They would all grow rich today and fatten their egos and purses at the expense of their own children. But tomorrow will not take care of itself, as once was thought. And when men finally disappear, taking countless species with them, the earth will continue her trip among the galaxies, perhaps wondering just what went wrong with that short-lived species, Man, which threw away the gift of life.
