Robert has been writing poetry since the eleventh grade. His writing started as impulsive rambling, but soon became a passion. A few years later, he attended SUNY Potsdam where he received a B.A. in Creative Writing.

His main focus is poetry, but he's also known for dabbling in short fiction, and at times erotica. Robert has also created the blog A Life Among The Pages, where he posts about his writing, love of books, and reviews books.

When he's not reading or writing, Robert enjoys spending time with his dog, Deuc. Deuc ran out of the woods in August 2011 and they have been inseparable ever since.

Wow. Who would have thought that such a short story could portray such powerful imagery! Not only was it steamy, it was incredibly sweet as well. Mr. Zimmerman was successful in capturing the emotions of lovemaking between a husband and wife, vs the idea of simply having sex. I could sense the love between the two; and as a married woman, it elicited memories of my own of lazy weekend mornings with my husband. I appreciated the feeling of sensuality between two people that were familiar with each other, dispelling the notion that only "new" sex can be exciting and erotic as well. My only knock is the brevity. This would be a great jumping off point for something bigger!

For being a first attempt to write erotica, I think it was a good one. It's flash fiction, so it is very short, but it gets straight to the point. A short piece about a couple enjoying their very own "breakfast in bed", as they start their morning in a very exciting way.

Short & Sweet and to the point of every woman wants from a man knowing to perfect the art of cunnilingus. Now, you should continue Breakfast In Bed 2 where the women go down on her man.

This story really is the definition of "Short Story" at about 600 words in total. If you think the story ends all to soon, you would be right!

Although it is in fact short, it's not lacking in structure, allure, and seduction! As short and sweet as this story is, it is equally hot and heavy, and cleverly written, with a little spark of something at the end!

Robert does an wonderful job with this little flash fiction, engulfing the reading in the morning rituals of this extremely sexual couple, while managing to shine a little light on the connection between the two. Which I must say, is a bit of a feet to do in about 600 words!

Also a nice little tidbit I think some of you might want to know. Robert tells me that is him on the cover there. Yup, he is the abs you see displayed before you. So go buy it and enjoy!

I really enjoyed this erotica flash fiction by Robert Zimmermann. Men seem less prevalent in the genre and I'm glad he took the chance. Breakfast in Bed is a romantic story, with just the right amount of passion. It is told as a moment between a husband and wife. And the s*x reads beautifully with love and history behind it. I think it is a great accomplishment for an author to establish characters in such a short amount of time. Beyond that, it is unique from most erotica. It is not a chance encounter between the characters, but an everyday occurrence that is special through the years. I look forward to reading more fiction from this author and highly recommend the story.

Normally I don’t read from this genre but as the Author was Mr Zimmermann, whose Book Reviews and Poetry I enjoy reading, I thought I’d give it ago.

I was pleasantly surprised. We are given an intimate encounter between a husband and wife who still very much enjoy each other. Zimmermann gives us a sneak peak into the lives of Nick and Julie and we get to share in their morning ritual.

I read the story to my husband (that maybe too much information) and he enjoyed the story also.

So all in all you’ll find Breakfast in Bed to be a sweet little ‘love’ story for both sexes to enjoy – maybe even together :-P

I've never been a huge fan of erotica, BUT, when Robert mentioned his short story I figured I'd give it a try. Um, I wasn't disappointed. My problem with erotica is it's usually just so over the top. I could totally see this happening. It was tasteful, it wasn't something that made me want to giggle, and well, it made me blush a little.

This is an intimate, well-paced short story of a married couple, and exemplifies their definition of the concept of 'Breakfast in Bed'. The only drawback is that while the story makes its points pertinently, it would have been interesting to have had more back story about the couple, and what makes them tick, but what is presented is sufficient for its purposes.

The only reason I gave this a "4" is because it is TOO SHORT!!! I know it is suppose to be short, but I was really into the story and then it was over...I WANT MORE, Rob!!!

I hope to be able to enjoy more of Rob's writing in the future...This short story was a written well and precise for the purpose of the book -

I really liked it!!!

I have enjoyed Robert's poetry and was enticed by the prospect of an erotica piece. I must admit I was left wanting. The short piece is so delightfully written and super steamy, you can't help but want more, more, more...

I can't wait to read more of Robert's works! Absolutely loved this short story!!

Cute story. 3 stars due to proper formatting and editing was well done. Not really my style, much more tame than I expected from this author. It also seemed to stop abruptly, but with it being a flash fiction piece, perhaps he intends to add more to complete the story. I think with a little more passion and a longer story, this would really be an exciting read.

This was a great taste of what's to come for this author (yeah pun intended)! For flash fiction this was great. It's not often that I get to read erotica from a man's POV and certainly not from a male author and it was well done.

Breakfast in Bed is a fast but fun read that has the perfect blend of sexy and sweet. I particularly liked the narrator’s voice. Despite the fact that it’s labeled as erotica, there is a backstory to the lustful elements that made me smile.

Not really a book but a short scene with only 8 pages total. This peek into a couples morning made me smile mainly because they were married. Nick's inner thoughts and monologue show a man who finds his wife attractive and desirable.

5 pages of Sex!

This was a very intertwining sex scene I must say! I do enjoy the idea of "breakfast in bed" although I wasn't expecting it to be such detailed. You're a fantastic writer.

What a great way to wake. I've read Robs poetry, he's real about what he writes. His erotic short is no different, tasteful writing about a husband and wife loving their mornings together. Sweet!
