He’s a playboy who thinks all women are his for the taking. She’s a virgin who has no intention of being taken…
When Dominic Rimeria almost runs Rachel ‘the Madonna’ Matthews over, he has no idea that their meeting is far from a chance occurrence. With her blonde hair, blushes, and blue eyes she is his perfect woman made real. Dominic wants her, and what he wants he gets. It is simply a question of when, not if.
Only Rachel is out to get something else entirely from the Italian billionaire, and if making him burn is what it takes then so be it. After all, she has no intention of submitting…but then she didn’t bank on Dominic’s skills in seduction. Before long, Rachel has to guard against more than just her secrets…she has to guard against her heart too.
As a kid Emma wanted to be an astronaut, or maybe Captain Janeway. Because she didn't really think her career choices through very well she ended up in an everyday geek job, crunching numbers and sighing over syntax. It seemed a long way from the stars and in an effort to escape Emma decided to get serious about her other passion. Writing.
Several years later and Emma has yet to walk on the moon or sit in the Captain's chair, but she is still writing. She scribbles stories in all sorts of genres, contemporary, paranormal, post-apocalyptic, historical, sci-fi...if she hasn't tried it yet she will before long.
The only common theme is the romance. A hopeless romantic everything Emma writes has a love story in there somewhere.

I have been waiting for months on this book not knowing that it came out last year. How in the world could I be so stupid? I read the first book in this series Taken by the Greek Billionaire, which was Penny and Sebastian’s story. It was greatly written and I knew I would have to read the rest of the series to see what happened to all three. Each one has a mark and Rachel’s was Dominic.
There is always a funny way that they meet their targets. In this one Rachel was almost ran over by Dominic. When he first sees her, he knows that she is the woman that was mad just for him and he can’t let her leave in two days. He knows that he must have her and have her he will.
The author has done a great job with the first two books. They are really exciting and hot. They have a great story line and maybe one day this would happen but I don’t know when. I’m not saying that I believe in stealing from rich men because they would never miss it. The ladies all grew up in foster care and looked after each other. Now they want to make a difference with other children in their neighborhood. The money will be going to a good cause. It’s just the men don’t see it that way at first. I always wanted to know what happened to Rachel when you get a little of her story at the end of the first book.
I can say that I was surprised and shocked on what happened in this book. I believe that I could just sit here all day and read this series over and over again and not get tired. The author knew when to make it serious and when to add a little comedy to the story. I wish it would happen to me but my luck isn’t that good. I really commend the characters in these books. The women do it for something that is good and the men always gets mad and doesn’t listen until it is too late and they have left. I’m proud to say that I read these books and got a lot out of them. You really never know when you will fall in love and with who.
All I can say is that everyone needs to try this series out. I will warn you that there are some pretty hot spots in the book. You can just see how the characters feelings change all the way through the book. Now I am off to read the third book in this series, Claimed by the Sicilian Tycoon which is Lyra and Andros’ story. I like how every book ends and it gives me a taste of what the next book will be about.
The whole scheme has Rachel Matthews tied up in knots, even knowing it is for a good cause. She is no crafty cat burglar like Penny or a sexy seductress like Lyra, but she will do whatever it takes to get the job done.
When he takes time to play there is nothing Dominic Rimeria loves more than a curvaceous blonde he can unwrap like a present. He cares little for women who flaunt themselves by wearing skimpy clothes and blatantly coming on to him.
Even with her ungainly start, Rachel should be in and out of Dominic’s life in just a few days. Her heart getting torn to shreds is not exactly part of the plan, yet it is something she will not be able to avoid. Dominic can hardly believe how perfect Rachel is. Her looks, her demeanor, everything is as he could want and more. For the first time ever, he is considering a future and a family, never even thinking she may not be exactly what she seems.
Finding a plot that is both fresh and entertaining is often where many romance novels struggle, and while I find this entertaining, it is at times predictable. I am also not really keen on lying and thieving as a premise for any love story, even when the characters are doing it for a great cause. Dominic at least is honest in his intentions, as well as his reactions toward Rachel. In my opinion, it is his character that makes this story worth the read.
THE THIEVES AND THE BILLIONAIRES. The sisters and their marks. They have completed their missions but had their hearts broken in the process.
Dominic, an Italian billionaire, was handpicked because of he’s a playboy who knows what he wants in a woman. He is notorious for taking and leaving a woman he desired and tired of. Rachel, the innocent one, was chosen for her innocence that her sisters believed her to be Dominic’s type. She was only supposed to pick his pocket, but then it turned into deception..
I was scared and excited at the same time to know Rachel’s story and it did not disappoint me. Rachel’s story was heartbreakingly amazing.
this is as good as the first book. Not better, as i expected it to be.
i just love to read an epilogue please, i know there will be a third book. But i just want to read the interaction between Dominic and the sisters and Sebastian more, how they interact as a family.
i don't know, it just come right to want to know how the heroes will get to know each other and pretty much sharing their love for our heroines. well, i hope it's there on the third book.
This was another great book by Emma Shortt! However, it was a little hard to get into the book in the beginning because it kept reminding me of 'Taken by the Greek Billionaire' (the previous book in this series) but then all of a sudden it took off. I soon fell in love with Dominic and thought Rachel was a perfect match for him. Geez, I wish I could meet my own Dominic!!! Well worth the read!
Oh wow, I thought the first book in the Criminal Seduction series was good, but this second book tops it in spades. Bedded by the Italian Playboy by Emma C Shortt is a touch of sweet and a whole lot of sexy. Read More...
I think I expected more from this one based on Penny and Seb's story, but this was pretty enjoyable as well. Although I loved the focus on Rachel, I would have loved to get more from Dominic. I think their relationship could have been developed better. Nevertheless, a fun read.
