Abby Sellers knows what she wants.

Enduring eighteen years in the shadow of her identical twin sister, Annika, she wants a fresh start. A chance to create her own life, separate from her conniving, deceptive twin.

Surprising both her family and friends, Abby ditches her plans for college and enrolls at a new school instead. There, she encounters West Montgomery, a sexy fellow student who immediately disarms her with his good looks and charm. West takes a liking to Abby and she suddenly finds herself walking a thin line, fabricating a fictional life created not by lies but by omission. She soon discovers West has secrets of his own, secrets that he's not altogether interested in sharing.

Out from under the shadow of her twin, Abby's life—and her relationship with West—blossoms. When Abby leaves town one weekend, something unthinkable happens and her relationship with West is shattered. Reeling from the discovery, Abby fears all of her plans have backfired and she's created a mess for both of them, a mess that no one can clean up.

But West isn't willing to let her go that easily. When he forces her to confront secrets they've both been hiding, Abby must decide more than if she's willing to forgive and forget. She must also decide just what kind of life she wants...and who she wants to live it with.

4 Swoon Worthy West star's

West, he really is what made this whole book for me. Every time he touched Abby, whispered to her, kissed her or gave her a sexy/flirty/desired look, I too felt those feelings. It was like starting off in a new relationship and all those giddy new feelings come back to you.

West- He baked. He surfed. He was a bad boy. He had a tattoo. He was hot. He was good at flirty and being sexy. He drove a truck. He was funny. He was sarcastic. He loved to kiss, hold hands and touch Abby. But ultimately, he had eyes for only Abby. He did have bit of a temper on him and he seemed to use the outlet of fighting to work it out.

Abby- She came alive around West. He made her feel: loved, desired, sexy, beautiful, wanted, needed, and ultimately a whole new person with her own identity. She wasn't a wimpy heroine. She didn't let certain things completely get to her. She also knew when she needed to suck it up and work it out sooner rather than later.

Abby and West definitely had some good banter with each other. He definitely made me laugh.

A few good banter moments
"This is for registration, right?"
"No. They're giving out free hot dogs."
"Seriously?"
"Uh, no, and you're gonna need to be a little sharper than that if you're gonna get through college, sweetheart."

"You can kiss, Abby Sellers."..."I wanted to kiss that mouth as soon as you popped off at me in line this morning."
"I think I just wanted to punch yours."
"Probably so."

"So. What time tomorrow?"
"What time tomorrow what?"
"What time tomorrow are you seeing me?"
"I didn't know I was."
"Well, now you do."
"Good to know. Anything else on my calendar I'm unaware of?"
"No, but I'd free up the next few days for sure."
"Why's that?"
"Because I'm gonna be taking up a lot of your time."

Abby has an evil twin sister named Annika. I like to refer to her as:The Wicked Witch of the West. She was awful to Abby. Always stealing what wasn't her's no matter what it was or who it was. And her excuse? It was a lame one if you ask me.I get the why, however her behavior towards Abby in earlier years needed an explanation too.

Annika and Abby are about to hit the college scene. It's summer time, a few weeks before school starts. They were both excepted to State. However, after the last issue with Annika, Abby's at her wits end and decides at the last minute to change schools. Upon registering at her new college she meets Mr. Sexy Sarcastic West. He ends up helping her change her flat tire and the rest is history. Abby keeps their relationship a secret. She also hides other information about herself from West as she's trying to be someone else who is NOT connected to her twin. No worries though because West has a few secrets up his own sleeve. These two hit it off pretty fast. They hate being away from each other and can't keep their lips or hands off each other. There are some haters though... Annika and Kayla. Kayla is West's ex-girlfriend. They don't want West or Abby to have their happily ever after. Abby and West hit a few snags in their relationship. Due to Abby keeping a major secret from West, it ended up causing more harm than doing good. (WELL DUH ABBY!!! I totally saw that one coming.)

These two need to find away to over come what's holding them back, let it go and move on. Can they do so with each other? Or will their secrets ruin them for good?

I think the story needed a little more closure on parts and other parts addressed better. This story made me feel the giddiness of a new relationship and had me laughing. Most of my rating is purely for West. Although, I will give some to Abby as she wasn't a wimpy heroine. I also loved that this was a fast paced story. I thought it was the perfect: light, funny, fast paced book with just the right amount of angst drama that isn't over the top. As for West and Abby, their relationship may be a fast one but honestly it worked perfectly for these two.

SIDE NOTE: Author's blog states:
[Another book that will be written-] "Tana's story from IT WAS YOU. [Tana is Abby's BFF.] Because she's a little lonely up in San Luis. And her grades are kind of sucking. And she just might need some tutoring from the hottest loner she's ever met."

3--What in the hell happened to the ending?--Stars!

Eh...this one was just okay for me.

It Was You is the story of West and Abby. The story begins at a party during the summer after Abby graduates high school. Abby is at a party with her bff. At the party Abby catches her evil twin sister Annika messing around with the guy she's been crushing on, Kevin. Annika is awful. She's always tried to sabatoge Abby's relationships and gone after guys she is interested in. This was the last straw for Abby.

Abby is supposed to be starting college the following week, the same college as her sister. After the incident she decides she's had enough and wants to get away from Annika. She decides to go to the local community college. At registeration she meets West. West was an ass to her at first, but when they meet up later in the parking lot (and he changes her flat tire) he apoligizes....and so begins their relationship.

I had a problem with a few things. (1)The insta-love was a bit over the top. They went from despising each other to boyfriend/girlfriend almost immediately. (2)The story really wasn't very realistic--especially the first time they had sex. They didn't even discuss the fact that she was a virgin and then it's like the best sex of her life--her first time. Has an O and everything. I mean who has an O the first time they have sex?? NO ONE!!! (3)The ending....it was awful. I mean yes, the conflict was resolved but we got nothing else. Where did Abby and West's relationship go? Are they still at the community college? Was West able to play baseball again? What is Abby and Annika's relationship like now? Lots left open....

Some things I did like were the banter between West and Abby and between Abby and her best friend (is it sad that I can't even remember her name?? I think it starts with a T....)

It was entertaining enough I suppose....not great, just okay.

Abby Sellers has had to deal with her identical twin for the last eighteen years. A twin that goes out of her way to make her life a living hell, a twin that is willing to throw herself at any boy that catches her sister's eye.... just because. So the idea of leaving home and going to the same college is just too much for Abby to take after the last party of the summer reinforces her feelings towards her sister.

She expected her life to change when she switched schools, but she didn't expect it to involve a boy. West Montgomery. But her idea of starting fresh involves keeping secrets and those secrets might just blow up in her face.

West is the cocky, college hottie with a temper. He has his own hidden past that he is willing to share with Abby, page by page. Losing a year of his life to a mistake has led him to where he is. Hoping to finally get back on track and falling fast for the blonde with a bit of a mouth. West may seem all sorts of bad- boy, but deep down this one is one of the good ones.

"You've got nice hands, sweetness," he said. His eyes roved up and down my body, his eyes lingering on my breast. "You wanna touch me somewhere else, just ask. As long as I get to do the same."

"Oh, he might still be an asshole." I smiled at the memory of my evening with West. "But I don't think he is. And I don't know that I care. Because he's mine."

So lets just get one thing clear. Annika Sellers is the worst sister EVER!!! I spent about 80% of this book with a huge smile on my face and that other 20% ... that was spent scowling at one bitchy skank of a sister. Jesus, was she just absolutely horrible.

This book caught my eye after J.A. Huss mentioned what a great read it was and I seriously didn't think twice before one-clicking. The story itself was written well and flowed nicely. There was a bit of predictability with the twist but that was made up for with a very revealing conversation that takes place at the end. It was a very light romance in the way of steam, but it was that sugary sweet shit that you can't help but consume.

This is a three book series that follows West & Abby's journey and all the bumps they encounter along the way. I can't wait to start the next book and see where it takes them (note, do not read the blurbs for all 3 books before finishing this one... the 3rd book's blurb will make you insanely sad and will make you read this entire series without stopping to breath).

Although this was a college age romance, it didn't quiet fit into that category since the story remains focused on their relationship and a few other characters. This, for me was perfect - it allowed me to separate this from other books that I've read without feeling like this was just the same old same old type of recycled story. You fully get their experience from start to finish and you can't help but fall in love with both of them right from the start.

I am not sure if there will be a point where Annika will be redeemed... not sure if it is even possible. But I am looking forward to the rest of this series and definitely other books this author publishes.

Abby may be identical (down to the mole on her boob) but she couldn't be more different than her man eating sister Annika.

We hated one another. There was no twin bond. No special link to one another. No ability to finish one another's thoughts or sentences. No special connection. I felt more connected to snakes t the zoo. ~ Abby

After a 'stellar' last night of Summer, Abby decides she needs to make some changes, and those changes are getting the hell away from Annika.

"Jealousy does not look good on you, Abs," Annika said. "And neither do skinny jeans..."

So Abby is off to find herself and wants to experience life without being in her sisters shadow. Enter registration at her local community college.

"This is registration, right?" I asked out loud...
"No, they're giving out free hot dogs."
"Seriously?"
Abby & West meet.

These two had banter. Awesome banter. I absolutely loved them, and their way of getting through to story of their lives so far. Or not. They were 2 characters that I instantly liked and enjoyed getting to know them.

"Do I want you? He shook his head, like it wasn't even a question. "Fu*k yes, I do. But I also want you, Abby. Not just what you can do to me and how good you can make me feel. I want all of you."

I adored Tana and nearly weeeed in my pants when we met her room mate. Hysterical. But their friendship was the real, 'I'll do anything you need', 'call night or day and I'll be there' deal.

We'd been best friends since fourth grade. Nothing came between the two of us - not other girls, not sports, not boys. But now something was separating us - life. My eyes may have leaked on this page.

Abby wasn't one of those girls that acted before she thought. She was the girl that thought things through, repercussions, the things she still didn't know or understand. An admirable trait in a NA character.

I completely enjoyed this book and didn't want to put it down. It wasn't so angsty that I found myself rolling my eyes, nor was it completely drama free. It was just the right combination to keep my interest all the way through. The family dynamic was interesting to read about , and was true to real life. There is always a sibling in the shadows and it was nice reading if from Abby's pov, where she wasn't bitter, rebellious and felt the world owed her.

I'd recommend this book to anyone that loves NA, or anyone that loves their characters witty & real. West is joining the Smokin Book Boys poster! Well done Ms Cruise...

The book in general was okay.

**Massive Spoiler Alert --Look the other way***

I like the authors writing and I think she has great potential. Especially as this is her debut novel. There were a few missing letters in words like 'coming' instead of 'combing' but it could have been an editors miss or an ebook formatting issue. But we all goof up sometimes & the book was still totally readable.

The only real issue I had with the book was the main character, West. I was not attracted to him at all. Let me count the ways:

1) he gets into a fist fight the first night meeting Abby. Umm... warning sign? Hell yes.

2) Abby tells West she's helping her BF move into her college dorm for 2 days. He gets pissy & flat out says he doesn't like sharing her with anyone! Even her best friend? Right then & there, I would've put on my walking boots... Or running shoes depending on how fast I wanted to get out of there.

3) on their date, his ex, calls him. He leaves her in the front room & goes into his bedroom & trashes the place. That is not normal behavior. It is a sign for all of us smart ladies to get the f*£€ out of there and never look back.

4) West is missing physically for a week & that's okay for him to go off & help HIS friend. But she couldn't go off for 2 days to help her friend with out a bucket of low-self-esteem-man-shit dumped on her. Then he gave her flack for dudes looking at her. Looking? Seriously? You can't help who looks at you. My ex-husband used to punch me when other guys looked at me so I know & can recognize abusive behavior from a mile away. West is my ex husband at the begging of my relationship. I really hope young women don't confuse this for swoon worthy, caring, loving, guys. Because these traits are not normal behavior. I promise you.

5) the last major thing that West did that pissed me off was fighting a guy at a party because he hit on Abby. It was an avoidable situation. I did like that the author made her character realize it wasn't normal & she had a problem with it. But that kind of behavior from men should be avoided like the plague and not turned into hero worship or a potential boyfriend checklist of desirable qualities.

Besides me not liking the dude in the story, I liked the author and her main character, Abby, was also likable so I give the book a 3 star rating.

By the very beginning I was hooked, not even far into the book and I realized.....

Oh Yea!!!' This is gonna be good!!!!

The main characters : Abby, the sweet, wholesome twin.....Annika, the whore, twin....West, the ol so hot sweetie and Tana Abby's awesome best friend.

Abby despised her twin, (her identical twin)with every fiber of her being and with good reason. I hate Annika she makes my skin crawl and made me so nauseous I ......

GIFSoup

Even when she explained things to Abby I still felt no remorse for her, she is still a skanky, lying, conniving, jealous slut!!!!
I wanted to.....

GIFSoup

Seriously how can anyone ever justify any reason for doing their siblings that way especially a twin, it is said that they share a bond that no other siblings will but not these two, they may be identical but they are daylight and dark, oil and water, they just don't mix.

I was so proud of Abby to make a stand and try to get away from her wicked sister but that was not even far enough. Annika is like a plague and a tornado that will cause mass destruction at any place she may be. It's no wonder she has never had a boyfriend, I mean why buy the cow when you get the milk for free, no need In romancing or wine and dining her she's a sure thing!!

I absolutely love West!!!!

GIFSoup

Dark hair, dark eyes, bad boy, tattoo. YUM!!!!!!!!

When you first meet him he comes across as cocky and a jackass but you soon find he is so freaking adorable and sweet.

Abby and West both leave out things about their lives which eventually hurt them. Like a chapter in a book they reveal page by page slowly but before they can get to the important ones its too late. West has a troubled past and Abby wants to find herself without her sister lurking in the shadows waiting to destroy her.

When Abby does go to Annika and stands up to her releasing all of her hurt, frustration and anger I was.....

By the time I finished I was.....

To the author....
To the author I will say.....

That was a SUCCESS!!!!!!!!

Warning: This book is about teens behaving badly. If you like your teenagers sweet and cuddly…move on to the next book. Otherwise, carry on.

Okay. They don’t act too terrible (just hooking up, drinking and fights terrible. Not gang banging and prostitution terrible).

But I’m getting ahead of myself and should back up a bit.

Abby and Annika Sellers are twins. The identical kind (even though Abby wishes they weren’t). In fact, after one last night of Sodom and Gomorrah the high school graduation version, Abby wishes they didn’t live in the same planet.

But she’ll settle for going to different colleges. She’s sick of being the second half of a train wreck and wants to start over where nobody knows her as “the twin that doesn’t put out.”

Why Abby thought that moniker was a bad thing? No clue.

The new school comes with a new boy. Obnoxiously hot Wes Montgomery (nice name). Even though Wes is a little too cocky for her tastes, she can’t help how her ovaries react to him. And the longer they interact, the more Abby comes to realize that Wes, while irritatingly arrogant, is not such a bad guy after all.

Especially when that hot a*s guy is coming right after her despite all her misgivings. The bulk of my interest in this book is Wes interacting with Abby. It’s just….

Wes Montgomery had it going ON! Sometimes you’re in the mood for your MC to be a little edgy without veering into the Edward Scissorhands category. He wasn’t perfect. He was a little possessive. He had a little bit of a temper (that he showed to others but not Abby). And he was a more than little bit of a Neanderthal. *Droooool*

(I know…I know. Don’t judge me)

I generally liked the book. It was a solid first effort for this writer. My only complaint would be her twin Annika. I know that a villain had to be cast for the story to be told but that chick was way too one sided. Annika seemed to have no other interest than stalking her sister and making her life miserable. Instead of coming out as the selfish and cruel twin sister, it was more like…

Writing: Decent
Plot: Predictable but still good
Recommend: You betcha

First impressions of West, the boy was hot and cocky and delish! "You're got nice hands, sweetness," he said. His eyes roved up and down my body, his eyes lingering on my breasts. "You wanna touch me somewhere else, just ask. As long as I get to do the same." West's friend Griffin was sweet (well I thought he was anyway) and I loved him to bits, "Dude. Guys don't share enough of their feelings, man. Girls dig hearing that kind of s***." Abby that girl may have some issues to work through but she's sweet, funny, and trying to find her own independence and I think West is the one person that helps her realize some things, "Well, you did take me to a drive-thru for dinner," I pointed out. "How could I refuse more of that?" West that boy there really isn't any more words I could use to describe him, he's just West. "Don't be embarrassed, Abby," he said, lowering his voice and tilting his head to the side. "I am one hundred percent into you. And I know it's completely irrational but I don't want you spending any time with anybody else. I want you all to myself." The chemistry between West and Abby is just playful and fun (well not all the time but most of the time):
"I'm not much of a shopper," he said, reaching for my hand. He intertwined his fingers with mine. "More of a homebody."
"Well, I won't drag you along then," I said.
"You can drag me wherever you want."
It's the cocky attitude I love about West seriously I knew I keep repeating myself but Cocky is sexy, and he has a tattoo so no matter what he did I'd always love him haha. "You're gonna need to take that off now aren't you? You didn't have to spill your beer in order to get naked with me." Loved this book and can't wait to see what else Ms. Cruise has up her sleeve!

Another freshman girl seeking escape on yet another college campus. And yes, in the registration line she, too, meets another campus hottie. Sound familiar? Well, yes it does. However, there are some twists and turns and a little variation on this and on that which soon becomes a different story altogether. Anna Cruise is a new-to-me-author and I really liked her writing voice. She told a good story in a straightforward and easy-to-read manner.

I liked the characters who I'm sure you've already guessed are carrying bucket loads of angst and turmoil in their lives. The "twin" situation definitely caught my attention and even though it's not new or untried, I found myself definitely caught up in the complications and destruction brought on by the bad v. good scenario. And, our hero is quite the complicated and heavy hitter himself.

Only the first installment, so I'm looking forward to continuing the series to see how our young couple matures and what life has in store for them as they continue down the road.

This book takes the phrase "evil twin" and takes it to a new, very literal, level. A lovely romance about a girl trying to get out from under her twin's shadow, It Was You was a wonderful book. The romance was hot, the twists were shocking, and I ended up really enjoying this book.

Abby has dealt with her twin, Annika, basically ruining her life for 18 years and she's had it. In a snap decision, she decides to switch to another college to get away from Annika. She meets a guy, frees herself from her twin's influence, tweaks the truth a little, and things look up for her. I really liked Abby. I thought she was a heroine that was easy to relate to. She's finally taking a stand against her sister and, this time, she won't back down. The only complaint I had with her is when something happens that I can't reveal and she gets mad at West for it. I thought that wasn't fair of her, considering the fact that it probably wouldn't have happened if she had told him the truth in the first place. And then she ran away instead of talking to him about it. I understand why it upset her so much given her history, but she wasn't fair to West. He wasn't to blame for the situation. That was my only issue with this book but it annoyed me enough to knock off a point. Otherwise, I really liked Abby's character. I thought she was a great and likable heroine.

West was wonderful. It took just a few pages before I fell for him. He was so sweet and confident without being cocky and incredibly attractive and basically perfect. His past isn't the purest and the revelation of it all was a definitely surprise. But, despite anything that happened to him before, he turned out to be a great guy. I adored him and I thought he was wonderful.

The romance was both sweet and spicy. Abby and West were really cute together and it was obvious that these two was starstruck when it came to each other. And there were definitely sparks flying between these two. They were a lovely couple and I can't wait to see more of them in It Was Me.

Annika was another major character, so I'm going to mention her real quick. There's no going around this. She was a complete and utter bitch. Evil twin to the max. While she gave her reasons for the way she acted near the end, it definitely didn't excuse her atrocious behavior. But, I did (very reluctantly) feel some pity for her, so I have to commend the author for making me see her as a person and not just a cardboard cut out of an antagonist. But, I still very heartily disliked her.

The plot was well paced. This book reads quickly and I was hooked the entire way through. There were surprises, and one hell of a twist that made me want to punch Annika (so glad that someone did). And the ending was a sweet wrap up that left things open for book 2.

It Was You was a wonderful New Adult romance. I really enjoyed this book and I know that other NA fans will. To anyone who wants a fantastic NA read, you have to read this book.

My introduction to the writing of Anna Cruise was not one I will ever look back on with regret. It Was You, Cruise's debut release, is just my debut into the world of her writing as well. She really got me with this novel.

Abby Sellers was great in the role of lead female protagonist. What I liked about her was that she had a voice, and we as readers caught the character in a time where she decided that she was going to start using it, start speaking her mind, and start standing up for herself.

She, of course, has her faults. To some, Anna's choice to change schools in such an impromptu manner could be construed as her running away from her problems. Her steadily budding relationship with the charming West could be construed as another Young Adult/ New Adult insta-love. (You know, those books that we all kind of love and HATE at the same time.) Also, her reaction to the inevitable (which I won't mention in depth because it harbors a spoiler) could be seen as another sign of her running away.

However, the fact that she knows her faults and acknowledges them herself with her reasons for her actions clear and usually rational or understandable disallow you to hold any of these things against her.

West Montgomery was everything girls love in a book boyfriend. He was cocky, yet faithful. He was soft and sweet, while still be infuriatingly charming and flirty. Just how we like it. At first glance, I was sure I was going to hate him. He seemed rude and arrogant and unlike in some novels, the female protagonist (Abby, in this instance) didn't fall for him while he was being a jerk. In fact, she detested him for it.

His redeeming quality is very similar to Abby's. He analyzed his actions and owned up to them, apologizing not long after he was a total douche.

I found comfort in this because it was much more realistic than how many novels dealt with problems. I've become so used to a character in NA novels walking around with blinders, doing foolish things while I cringed, and then, at the end of the novels realizing that they were wrong, and ta-da, the end. The refreshing part of It Was You was that the characters came to realizations quickly and realistically.

Sometimes, it's appropriate to hold out on what you see as a realization and sometimes it's not. Cruise's ability to pick and choose stood out to me in this novel, and inevitably allowed it was me to become a novel I will be proud to mention.

Finally, I applaud the author for her use of sexual scenes in a graceful and non-consuming manner. Sex wasn't the center of Abby and West's relationship and that fact made the rest of the book entirely better. And when it did happen, you knew it was right.

Five stars. I definitely recommend this read, and I'm excited to read the second in this series.

A good start for West and Abby's story, I enjoyed most of the book there where parts I liked and parts I could've done without but overall it was a good start for the book.

On a random note, Abby's sister was the worst person I have ever read and

Abby Sellers wants to be her own person. She's taken a backseat to her twin sister, Annika for 18 years and she's had enough. Enough of the hurt that her sister has caused her through the years. Annika is the wild one of the two. She's just plain mean and has always gone out of her way to cause Abby pain with her words and actions. Most of the time, it's with boys that Abby has shown an interest in. At the last minute, Abby decides that she doesn't want to attend the same college as her sister and changes to a local college. This surprises her parents. They aren't aware of what has gone on between their girls and just chock it up to sibling rivalry.

Abby meets West Montgomery while standing in line for registration at college. This was not a friendly first meeting, but you could feel the sparks fly and their attraction to each other. West has some baggage and anger issues during the story, but I'd take him anyway. Baggage and all. He's tender, sweet and see's Abby for the special girl she is and treats her like she needs to be treated. She's never felt this way before and she's loving every minute of it. And she also keeps him a secret from Annika. Abby also doesn't share with West that she even has a twin sister.

For this being Anna Cruise's debut novel, I truly loved how she formed Abby and West's connection and the ease with which the story flowed. The development of their relationship was right on. Nothing too fast. Just right. And adding the "evil" sister into the mix added to the drama of this book. I do not want to give any spoilers in this review because I want you to read it and enjoy it as much as I did.

I highly recommend you read this book, I look forward to reading more from this author!

This was a story that hooked me in straight away and I finished it in one afternoon.

Admittedly the blurb/synopsis kind of gave away an inkling of what was going to happen but that didn't stop me reading it because I just had to read all the detail myself.

Abby and Annika are identical twins. Abby is the sweet kind of girl that guys see as long term girlfriend material. Annika is a skank who will put out for any hot guy who is willing. These two girls do not have one of those unique twin relationships that you hear about. They despise each other. Annika is always looking to get one up on Abby and she doesn't care who she hurts in the process. She is basically a self centered bitch.

Both girls are off to college and Abby now has a chance to be her own person and not a 'twin.'

Enter West Montgomery *hottie alert* - he is one of the sweetest book boyfriends and will have you falling in love with him too. West and Abby are perfect together but what happens when their perfect world gets knocked around by the malicious Annika, seriously you will want to slap that girl!!

I got completely caught up in this story and if you can't get enough of these two, you are in luck as there are now two more books in this series to enjoy!

Really enjoyed this story. A story of identical twins who didn't get on well with one another. Add a hot male called West & this was a story that had me reading it in a day.
I've not read anything from this author before but I certainly want to now:)

I have to say, given the book description, I predicted 95% of what happened during that weekend! But it was a fun story. Furthermore, I just couldn't believe the whole story took place over two weeks... Kind of defied understanding for me. But it was cute:)

I was too lazy to do a review for each book and did a review only.
If you do not read all the books stop here.
I think the story could be told in a book only. I don't understand why authors write a story in several volumes, where everything could be solved in a book only.

>>>>>>>>>>

This series tells the story of Abby Sellers and West Montgomery.
Abby has a twin sister named Annika it's a real witch, bitch, tramp shameless and evil.
Annika tries to harm Abby anyway and the last one was having sex with the guy that Abby was interested and then rub it in her face.
Abby solves out of the shadow of her sister and give up to go to the same college that her sister and then decides to attend a college closer to home.
On line registration she meets West and her life changes.
The two begin a relationship and she doesn't tell him that has an identical twin.
The twin sister slut tries to find out about the relationship of the two anyway, but Abby doesn't reveal anything.
I was so mad at Abby's sister that I wanted to go down in history and beat the crap out of her.
Jesus ... that malevolent sister!
Sister slut takes advantage of the absence of Abby who left town to help her best friend to fit in the new College and tries to have sex with West.
Annika tries everything, but West feels that something is wrong and send her home.
Abby finds out and is furious, because the sister interferes in everything in her life and always end up stealing her boyfriends.
Abby tells all for parents. Account all even and omits nothing ... account until the sister had sex with the guys that she had some interest and her sister tried to have sex with West.
The parents are shocked by the attitude of Annika.
West is very shaken up by what happened, because he did not know of the existence of twin sister slut.
The relationship of the sisters it was bad gets worse. Annika is still bothering Abby.
The family decides to go on vacation and calls on West to go along.
The parents ensure that Annika is not going to appear. But the evil twin sister ends up appearing.

She decides to end the relationship with West and she will devote to taking care of her mother.
West is devastated and not knowing what to do. Anyway both should move to Texas and start a life there.
West is pressed by Texas coach to decide once and for all.
So much suffering for no reason ... the two love each other.
They end up hitting and resuming the relationship.
The friends of the two are really cool. Wes has an ex-girlfriend who is a plague. I think she should be slutty twin sister's best friend.
West and Abby finally work out. She is helping the family working in their company. West is playing for a college closer to home.
Abby's MOM is still struggling against cancer.
Life will follow its course until an unexpected pregnancy happens and puts all their plans in jeopardy.
Both are without knowing what to do and decide to have an abortion. This decision is killing Abby and West is very confusing.
There are so many decisions that need to be made that both feel oppressed.
West love Abby and wants to stay with her anyway. If Abby thought that his passion was baseball, she is sadly mistaken. Abby means everything to West.
Abby has a threat of losing the baby and it ends up deciding everything for them. The two decide to keep pregnancy and raising a family. Despite the young age the two love each other and want the baby.
The story had a nice ending and the wedding ceremony was beautiful!
I liked the series and recommend!

3.5 This was pretty good. I was very happy when I certain situation accord that the Abby reacted the way I had hoped she would. If she stayed passive about it I probably wouldn't have finished this book. Overall this was a fun read and I will be looking for more book by this author.

Goodreads book discription:

Beccasbooks Review:

This is the first book for Ms. Anna Cruise. it was good, i liked it alot thought that the characters of West and Abby were a great couple as long as they were together.. not sure about them apart. but i would have liked to have heard West in the book as well.

Abby felt that she was always living in the shadow of her identical twin. and her twin loved to do things to hurt her, chase the guys she liked, steal her clothes, take things from her room, etc. but Abby thought she found a way to keep herself away from Annika. She met a boy that liked her for her, he knew nothing about her sister, she could be herself.

West was/is a great guy, he was trying hard to put his life back together after a year long struggle. He mets a girl, knows that he likes her lot, doesn't know much about her. the more he learns the more he wants.

something goes wronge one weekend that may change the course of this couple for ever.

I liked the book alot, it was a great debut book for this author. i am hoping that we might see some more from this young couple and this author.

this is a young adult book, characters are 18 so keep that in mind as well.

If you know anything about me, and at this point, I'm hoping that you do, you know that I love a good Anna Cruise book. It Was You was the very first book of hers that I read and it hooked me. She has a way of writing that draws you into the world she's created and you truly feel like you're witnessing everything play out right in front of you.

I absolutely loved Abby and completely connected with her from the very first chapter. She's a complex character as while she's a strong girl, she's also vulnerable due to her twin sister, Annika's constant torture of her. After a final straw, Abby decides to change her college plans because she simply can no longer handle being in Annika's shadow or being her proverbial punching bag. I completely felt her need to get away, and also commended it. I was cheering for her when she decided to throw up her middle finger and enroll in the local community college and convince her parents to let her move into her own apartment. And thank goodness she did, because on the first day of registration she met a sexy, swoon-worthy, smooth-talking West Montgomery. Right off the bat, he irritates her and flirts with her at the same time, and she can't help but take in his gorgeous looks and hard body.

After he barters for her phone number while changing her flat tire, West and Abby fall into a quick, comfortable relationship. West is exactly what she needs to separate herself from her parents, from Annika, and from everything she's trying to get away from. At the same time, Abby helps West stay grounded, keeping his temper at bay. As their relationship progresses, it's clear that they're chemistry is scorching and they're both falling hard and fast, but it can't always be sunshine and rainbows, right? She decides to keep her family a secret from West, who has secrets of his own, which leads to a pretty huge conflict that almost killed me.

All in all, I really enjoyed It Was Me. I think things progressed a little too quickly for my taste, but come on, it's West Montgomery. It probably take long for me to fall for the guy either. I can't wait to get my hands on It Was Me to see what's in story for West and Abby, and unfortunately, Annika.

Well, that was a goddamn trainwreck.
And I don't mean the book, the story was great, I mean the characters. This book just shows, in glaring tear-filled detail, exactly how much damage secrets can cause. It was harsh.

Abby has an identical twin sister, Annika.
They DO NOT share that fuzzy twin bond everyone always talks about.

'We hated one another.
There was no twin bond. No special link to one another. No ability to finish one another's thoughts or sentences. No special connection.
I felt more connected to snakes at the zoo.'

Their whole lives, Annika has gone out of her way to hurt Abby any way she could. I mean, this girl was just a cold-hearted bitch. Any time she entered the story, I actually cringed. Abby finally decided she needed to step out of her sisters hurtful shadow. So surprising everyone, she made a last minute decision to change what college she'll attend. Anything to get some much needed space from her sister & be her own person. As she's registering for classes at her new school, she meets West.

'There was something both attractive and maddening about his self-assurance. I wanted to both smack him and kiss him at the same time.'

They hit it off & start spending some time together. Abby really likes West & he seems to feel the same way. For that reason, she keeps her twin sister a secret. She doesn't want to take the chance that Annika will ruin things for her. West is keeping his own secrets too, but as they grow closer they both slowly start to open up. Til Abby goes away one weekend to visit her best friend at college & the unthinkable happens, shattering her relationship with West. But he won't give up easily.

I really did enjoy this book, It was a great debut for this author. I would have liked getting into West's head though. And there was no epilogue, or any sort of closure for me, it just kinda ended. It wasn't a cliffhanger per say, as far as I know this is a stand-alone novel but.... I don't know, it just feels like there could be more? It felt kinda unresolved to me. But I still enjoyed it & would recommend it.

*I received a free e copy of this book, from the author, in exchange for an honest review*

Honestly, this book was great. The author has such an amazing talent. The entire time you are reading this book it doesn't feel like a book. Does that make sense? It feels like you have stepped into another world. You can see the scenery, hear the words, feel the emotions. Anna Cruise is definitely a very talented writer.
I adored the main character, Abby. She felt like every other typical young adult. You could totally relate to her emotions. It felt like being 18 all over again as I was reading. The sibling rivalry, the self doubt.
The leading man, West Montgomery (how great is that name?!) was practically perfect in every way. Any girl who reads this book will instantly fall in love with him. He is every woman's fantasy of the perfect man. All except for the violent temper that is. He's loving, gentle, kind, thoughtful, sensitive, kick ass, attentive....the list could go on and on.
And then you have Annika. There are no words to express my hatred of her so I won't even try. Since I know that this is what the author was going for I say, kudos to you. You made me feel exactly as I was supposed to. She was a villain if ever I read about one. And with family like her....who needs enemies?
I really enjoyed getting lost in this story. I picked it up and never put it back down. I read it straight through in one day. It's just one of those books that grabs you from the very first sentence.."The music was too loud, the boys were too obnoxious and there was too much vodka coursing through my body." How could you not keep reading after that?
Can't wait to read the next chapter in the epic love story that is Abby and West. I would recommend It Was You to any fan of YA fiction. It was simply fantastic.

I want to give a huge thank you to Ms. Cruise for not leaving me on the edge of a cliff. Lately I am finding out how much I appreciate a book that has an ending.

It was a nice read that kept me entertained. I really liked that the character's issues could be dealt with and weren't overly dramatic. If you are into YA/NA books this is a good, quick read and I would recommend it.

I only have two issues that have nothing to do with the rating. They are petty, silly issues, but I have to share them. Either to let someone else know they are not crazy or to prove that I am.

"Did he play baseball too?" I stopped at the end of that question and started going back pages to see if I missed something. Then I remembered I have word search on my Kindle. I didn't miss anything, there was no mention of baseball before that sentence.

I should let you know that I read this while recovering from the flu and after two days of not eating and I was finally starting to get hungry. My stomach grumbled at the mention of In-N-Out Burger! Then a couple pages later my stomach flip flopped after I read "Mayo oozed out the sides on onto my fingers." Wait! What?!? Who puts mayo on an In-N-Out burger?? That is "spread" and it's against all laws of food nature to mess with that. I'm not saying I'm an expert, but I've lived near an In-N-Out for 20 years (oh hell I just dated myself!) and I do know what a hamburger is all about! They also don't use styrofoam cups.

Ahhh, okay, I feel better. Isn't it amazing what people will get on here and write about?

The OW is the evilest person I have ever read about. h, her family, the hero all forgiving her so easily was big slap on the face. She would have slept with the hero if he had encouraged her one bit. She was for sure lying to h. How can you do such a wrong to your twin.

What kind of relationship did the hero and heroine have when she lied to him about everything, her family and having a twin sister. Knowing what her sister was like, shouldnt she have warned her boyfriend about her? There was no love lost between them so there was no need to protect the evil sister or be embarrassed by her.

I wrote a review and somehow it didn't post. The worst thing I hated about this book was it was predictable. It wasn't a bad book but it wasn't anything special..Oh yeah and you know when you lose your V card you just automatically get off and see fireworks after getting past that initial pain.....

West was kinda like a stalker considering he almost couldn't let her out of his sight.
