Does anyone know when this book comes out? I am dying here.

Teaser:
"Emily pulled away; Max pushed his hands to her checks before twisting her dark curl around his finger and delicately tucking it behind her ear.God it hurt so bad to see him touching her that way. Suddenly, I couldn't help myself from hyperventilating. I watched as Emily smiled at him, her eyes twinkled as they vacillated with every word he whispered to her. Her hands clutched either side of his white dress shirt. My knees buckled causing me to lean forward; I caught myself before I fell apart in the hall. Yeah, this was my fault. I never should have left, I never should have kissed Nick, and I should have been there with him when he buried his father. I should have never left."

What the @#$%! Seriously, my stomach and my heart hurts right now. If they don't end up together, or Max does something stupid I will lose all my faith in humanity.

What does everyone else think of this teaser?

Could be very mildly spoilerish, read on if you aren't too sensitive to spoilers (I literally only graze over things; nothing major to the plot is given away in the slightest).

This book was the amazing conclusion to the trilogy that I unexpectedly found myself falling in love with at the start of 2014. I picked these books up expecting them to be nothing but trashy, but finished them absolutely head over heels with the characters and absolutely adoring the story line.

This book is full of plot twists and suspense - all of which kept me gripped and reading on faster than I expected to. I found that I couldn't put them down, and when I did, I couldn't stop thinking about the possibilities at what could happen next - and even then, everything I assumed was entirely incorrect! I found myself gasping at various points, purely because I was genuinely so surprised (though there was one thing that I wasn't entirely shocked at that occurred during the series, but I shan't ruin that for you - but how they got through it definitely did shock me).

I fell in love with the characters even more; particularly Max. He now has a place in the "fictional boyfriends" part of my brain and I can't imagine him moving from there any time soon. But saying that: I definitely wouldn't want him to. He get's sweeter, more attentive, cuter and sexier in this book - and I just couldn't help but fall devastatingly head over heels with him. His attitude towards Wilson left me shipping these two like never before, and I can safely say I have a new OTP! I loved watching them grow and mature as people and adjust to the difficult things that their lives were throwing at them. It was truly amazing to see such a high level of character development.

One thing I wasn't fond of, however, was Wilson's friendship with Joanie. I understood a few things of what was happening between them - but I didn't know where the friendship was left. At a few points, I was left wondering if they were mad at each other - because the way I read their behaviour, it seemed like they were mad with each other, but then the next chapter they were pally? I was genuinely so confused by that; but thankfully that isn't a dominating factor of the book and when the action starts up again, it's easy to forget about.

The main focus of this series of books, as you may know, is a teacher/student relationship and the hardships of that and what could potentially go wrong. Needless to say, there is a lot of drama and "wrong doings" in these books, particularly in this one, but they're all beautifully written. To me, none of this was trashy in the slightest and I didn't find myself rolling my eyes at all. Despite how this is a teacher/student relationship trilogy, it isn't like the rest for many reasons - for the most part, it's maturer than most t/s relationship novels that I've seen and have read (and the characters are more mature within it too). The ending is better than most t/s novels, too. I was so genuinely surprised with the ending that I bounced up when I read it and couldn't wipe the shocked look off of my face for hours afterwards (it's a good thing - unpredictability!)

Gretchen de la O couldn't have done this better if she tried - and I very rarely say that about books. She wrote the entire book in a split POV; one chapter would be Wilson's POV, the next would be Max's etc; it was definitely refreshing and fun - it added more dimension to the book and made it even more interesting to read! It also made the book clearer because it was clear who's POV was who's.

I would recommend this if you have ever found yourself getting curious about t/s relationships or have just wanted to try something new. Of course, if you are into these kind of novels (which I admittedly am: they're my guilty pleasure) then definitely check this out for this is the most unique type of t/s novel I have ever read and I thoroughly loved it from start to finish.

If I could rate higher than 5*'s, I most certainly would. I whole heartedly recommend this and more.

ARC Was Given To Blog For An Honest Review

Nothing can stop a love like Wilson and Max’s love. The story continues where Eighteen at Last left off. The title may lead you to believe that the story is set further into the future, but that is not the case.

The fight against all the secrets and obstacles begin to be won, it is just going to take a little while to get there. Wilson’s past comes back to haunt her and she learns that there were secrets kept from her and there are consequences to the actions from having a teacher student relationship. Max will realize that some responsibilities can’t be ignored.

I could not put this series down; I read all three books right after the other. I loved following this amazing journey of love and getting the HEA I desired. I did not want it to end; I needed more of their story, just a future scene would have been nice. I loved the ending but was not entirely satisfied with it.

Once again the heat is turned up in this story and each and every time is HOT. I will admit that I felt the story did run a bit long and some of it seemed repetitious to me. I found myself skimming over many pages; I felt that in those parts maybe the story could have expanded with more detail of some other more important developments of the story.

Overall I think anyone that reads this series will love it, it is a beautiful story of love that is truly fought for and won. I had heard that this story was based on some real life events for the author, I just want to say if your man loved you this much you are one lucky lady. We should all aspire to find someone to love us with this much conviction and passion.

Perfect ending to a great series. I loved every single minute of it. I think Max and Wilson are made for each other. This book proves it. I love Wilson, she had to grow up so fast because of tragedy. However, she was always so open and honest and I found her very likeable. Max was sexy, confident, and caring. Everything you want for a boyfriend. However, he had to earn her heart back after the ending of Eighteen at Last. He proved to her that he loved her and I am happy that they got their HEA. Definitely one of my favourite series of all time.

Indescribable Relief! That it does come to an end at the same time so sad to see some fav characters say goodbye. Max is still delicious, Wilson faces alot of hurdles & finds strength. It's so not the typical teacher student romance (at least not for me) Finding the meaning of true love...thats the ultimate treasure. I adored all the little sayings along the way.."if fishes were wishes we'd have a fish fry"

4.5 star review by Jen Hagen

When we left off with Max and Wilson at the end of book 2, Max was driving away after being blindsided with the news that Wilson and Nick had kissed, and Wilson’s world was crumbling down at the expense of her mistake. Max turned the car around to go back to Wilson and was hesitant to walk through the doors of the house, scared that he would find Wilson seeking solace in the arms of Nick once again. What did he find? His absolute love and willingness to forgive Wilson astounded me.

I love her, and when I look at her, I see everything I’ve ever wanted—everything.

Even though Wilson and Max are able to profess their love for each other, the hurt still remains of what caused Wilson to seek refuge and comfort from Nick. Max has a hard time forgiving Nick for taking advantage of Wilson in her broken state of mind. Wilson will always have insecurities due to the fact that her mother abandoned her 10 years ago and chose a life of drugs instead of a life with Wilson. Wilson has nobody to rely upon…the grandparents who raised her are now deceased. Max knows that she will constantly have doubts and will need to be reassured that he will never walk away from her.

“Do you think we can find a place where we can bury our mistakes and pick up where we left off?” Max looked at me, his eyes narrow and damp as they wandered up my body to my face. “Wilson, I am so sorry I never came for you. I’m sorry I let you…down.”

Max’s father was CEO of Goldstein Petroleum. Max was never interested in the family business and had elected to pursue his interest in being a high school teacher. Now that Max’s father has passed away, the company needs somebody to step into his father’s shoes and run the company. Max doesn’t want to be part of this, but he is forced to become somebody that he is not simply to keep the family business intact. His father always wanted Max at the company and not as a teacher, and now his father finally gets the last word in on making sure that Max is part of the family business.

Whereas the first book was about the chase and the angst, the second book continued with angst and heartbreak, and the third book is all about making certain that the person you care about is put first in your life. Max is faced with a set of challenges. He needs to be in Colorado for the company, but Wilson is back in California dealing with family matters and also the ramifications of her student/teacher romance. Wilson still has 5 months of high school remaining, and Max desperately wants to be there for her, but there is no other way than to let Wilson go back to California without him.

For being a fresh romance of only one month, Wilson and Max have an undying devotion to each other and the refuge they find in each other is comforting. They will find a way to make this work…there is no other option. Max is so free with his beautiful words to Wilson, but Wilson is more guarded with her emotions never wanting to be left alone again.

Wilson continues to show a lot of growth throughout the book. She moves forward in her life letting her insecurities be replaced by the strength of the love from Max. She still has challenges to face but at least she isn’t doing these by herself and she is now strong willed and not afraid of the outcome. Max will never let her go through life without knowing that he will always be beside her.

Max realizes that their relationship is not the conventional type…he was her teacher after all. He gave up his teaching position in order for them to be together. He will find a way to accept the critical judgment of others because their love is strong enough to endure anything that is thrown their way.

But at the end of each day, when she walks through the door…she has found her home. At the end of the day, she has found someone who loves her enough to stop the world for her; and no matter what anyone says, thinks, sees, or feels…that’s the only thing that will ever matter to me. I’ve found the person I am going to spend the rest of my life with.

I am going to miss Max and Wilson. I enjoyed seeing Wilson mature throughout the series and the love that Max had for her was never wavering. He was very vocal in his thoughts. The author allowed us to become a bigger part of Max’s thinking by allowing him to share his thoughts and words with alternating chapters. The scenes progressed nicely between the alternating points of view. This book was definitely a lot HOTTER than the previous two…and when I say hotter, I mean smoking HOT!! The first half of the book seemed to be more about their reconciliation and the second half was how to handle the curve balls that were being thrown on their path to happiness. This is a must read for all the teacher/student romance readers.

Title: Beyond Eighteen
Book number: 3
Series: Wilson Mooney
Author: Gretchen de la O
Guy: Max Goldstein, 22. Black hair, green eyes.
Girl: Wilson Mooney, 18, student. Dark blonde hair,.
Locations: Aspen, Colorado.
Point of view: Alternating
The story in dot points:

My thoughts: A great read, yet again Max is just amazing. The things he says and feels are just sweet. Wilson is so grown up for her age, and her bestie J is so down to earth, it's awesome. It would be nice if this book/series was followed up with a novella. I'd like to see where all the characters have moved on to a couple years later.

It was a torturous wait to get back to Max and Wilson’s story, and I was so excited to finally get my hands on Beyond Eighteen! After seeing Wilson’s actions send Max packing in Eighteen at Last, I was so nervous that this was going to be a really painful journey back for them. Thankfully, my heart made it out unscathed and these two great characters didn’t lose their way!

Wilson was really torturing herself this time around; after having her heated moment with Nick thrown in Max’s face by none other than witch Cindy, she felt guilt from all sides. Both Max and his family had been through something so traumatic, and they needed her to be there, yet she left and allowed herself to be seduced by another man. Yeah, it was a bad situation, but thankfully Max isn’t some immature and vindictive boyfriend. I loved that Max didn’t hold it against Wilson throughout the whole book, so that she would have to earn his trust back through painful rejections. This was more about them finding their way as a couple, officially.

Max’s job situation played a big role, as his father’s death left the family business floundering unless he took the reigns. Max is so not the corporate businessman type, but apparently even in death his father wasn’t willing to admit that to himself! Poor Max really grappled with a lot of difficult decisions and drama, between working things out with Wilson, his family’s loss, and deciding what his role would be (if any) in the company. And Wilson was trying to make up for not being there as he dealt with the loss of his father, but she had family issues of her own popping up that she wasn’t expecting. Someone from her past was back to be a part of her life, and in the midst of everything she had to confront her feelings about her grandparents and decisions they had made for her. There was all kinds of emotional baggage on both sides of the relationship, but I loved seeing them just be there for each other!

Since Max and Wilson no longer had anything stopping them from being together, wow oh wow did they take advantage!! And seeing just how dirty Max’s mind is now that he could have his way with his girl…mmmmhmmm!! These two had some seriously sexy moments together, and with all that anticipation building up over the course of their time together, it was HOT!

Beyond Eighteen was a great wrap-up to the series, and if you haven’t yet met Max and Wilson, I highly recommend you grab up first installment Almost Eighteen and dive right in!!

KIM'S REVIEW

I must say that The Wilson Mooney Series is by far one of my favorites. Max Goldstein has held a SPECIAL place in my heart since I read the first book over a year ago. I'm really sad that the series is over because I don't have my fix of Max.

Max & Wilson photo MaxampWilson_zps1049d8e0.png

I was really nervous about this book. I wasn't sure what to expect but I knew that Gretchen would NOT disappoint...& she DID NOT!!!

The 2nd book (EIGHTEEN AT LAST) left me devastated. I wanted book 3 like NOW...The anticipation would leave butterflies in my stomach and I just didn't know what was going to happen with Max & Wilson. & I NEEDED TO KNOW. They had been through so much & I wasn't sure how much more their relationship could take. Then to throw Cindy and Nick into the mix and boom..it seemed doomed.

Max & Wilson had a lot of issues to work through, and at times, I felt like I was intruding on them. Once they worked through all the "wrong" they had done to one another, it was worth the wait. I love these two characters and it's really hard for me to write this review because of it. I have all these emotions for these two characters that it's hard to put into words what this series has meant to me. I still think of Wilson & Max and I'm hoping that sweet, Ms. Gretchen, will write us a Novella or even a book 4 to let us know how Max & Wilson are doing.

I'm sad it's over & I'm so glad I came across this series. Max is right at the top of my BOOK BOYFRIEND LIST & that is where he will always stay. I love Gretchen and her writing style. She is one of my FAVORITE authors. There are a lot of things that I love about her. What I love the most, is that she interacts with her fans. She genuinely cares about us & THAT MEANS A LOT!!! Thank you so much, Gretchen, for bringing us Max...& Wilson of course. You have a special place in my heart. THANKS AGAIN..YOU ROCK!!!!

I was really nervous about this book, I wasnt sure what to expect!!! I really wanted Max and Wilson to get their HEA, if any couple deserves it, its them especially considering all the obstacles they've encountered, the biggest being their "forbidden student-teacher relationship" and Gretchen didn't disappoint!!!

Max and Wilson had loads of issues to work through to say the least - we left Max walking away from Wilson, blindsided by the news that Wilson and Nick had kissed, but yet Max turns the car around and slightly hesitant about whether or not he'll find Wilson seeking solace in Nicks arms.

Even though they've professed their undying love for one another, hurts still remain especially for Wilson whose insecurities will always be there, especially her abandonment issues. She has no one to rely on since her grandparents deaths and Max knows that he's going to have to constantly reassure her that he wont walk away ever.

“Do you think we can find a place where we can bury our mistakes and pick up where we left off?” Max looked at me, his eyes narrow and damp as they wandered up my body to my face. “Wilson, I am so sorry I never came for you. I’m sorry I let you…down.”

With Max's dad's death he's going to have to bite the bullet and take over the family business, even though he doesn't want to. But sometimes in life we have to do the things we dont want to because we know deep down that we have no other choice.

Max is faced with a loads of challenges - he needs to be in Colorado for the Company, but Wilson is back in California dealing with famly matters and the ramifications of her student/teacher relationship. Wilson still has 5 months of high school remaining, and Max desperately wants to be there for her, but there is no other way than to let Wilson go back to California without him.

Even though they've only been together a month, they are devoted to one another and failure isnt a choice for them. They will find a way to be together regardless of what's thrown their way and I know they will. They are each others forever, their home when they walk through the front door. It doesn't matter how they started, only where they end up!

Im so glad that Max and Wilson get their HEA. It certainly is a great way to finish this series. Im going to miss Wilson and Max.

After reading the second book in the series I couldn't wait to start this one, I was excited to see what was going to happen with Max and Wilson. I was not disappointed in the plot, it wrapped up most of Max and Wilson's issues. That being said I was disappointed in how weak and wishy washy Wilson became. I literally wanted to reach into my iPad and slap her. I said more that one "omg, she is crying again!".

Wilson and Max have faced tragedy together and come out on the other side. When we last saw out couple Max was doing a u-turn because he realized what he had done leaving Wilson abandoned. This is where we pick up in this third book. I do like that the author alternated point of view in this book. I enjoyed being inside Max's head. The author flourished even more with this book the sex scenes were hot, even a little over the top with all the immense love pouring out during it.

Max has resigned from his teaching position and there secret is out. He is forced into a position he doesn't want but willing to do what is right for his family. He is an extraordinary man! Loving, caring, strong, and hot! Even a tad overly sexually charged, a relationship as intense as theirs should be about more than connecting their bodies.

Wilson is slightly self absorbed in this one, she is not as strong as I feel she should be with all she has faced in her life. I had hoped we would see her grow into a mature adult in this last book, though I feel she got worse.

Overall this was a good series that I enjoyed. All questions are answered, and all issues are resolved. Proving that even a relationship that is taboo can flourish and be everything it is meant to be. I wish I had a government teacher that was as hot as Mr. Goldstein!

3.5 stars*** I read the box set so this is a review for the whole trilogy. It's a story to remind us of what it's like to be young and in love for the first time. To experience all the firsts all over again. Wilson Mooney is not your average everyday girl...well, I guess she really is, but she is among wealthy and snobby girls at her all girl private school where she is a senior. So her experiences with life are far different than those around her. The first 2 books are told from Wilson's POV exclusively and it really is like being in the mind of a teenage girl. She runs through scenarios and over analyzes things and makes assumptions which don't always make sense to an adult. Some of her thoughts went on a little too long for me but it was good. Then there was Max. I had questioned how he got into that position throughout the whole book and then it was answered in the bonus chapter. Max was a cutie and a sweet boy, I wanted to mother him, not make him a book boyfriend, but he was perfect for Wilson. I loved the secondary characters and almost wish there was more of them. It was a long book, but once events started happening, they didn't seem to stop and I didn't want to stop until it was resolved. The final chapters tied everything up, but I felt some things were rushed or glossed over, like the issues with Wilson's mom. There could have been a lot more there. I enjoyed the book and will definitely be checking out more from this author! I won this book in an online contest from the author.

I suppose the main questions I was left with after reading this book were "do well educated Americans in their early twenties actually send text messages like barely-literate tweens?" and "do people really make out/have sex/fail to take their hands off each other 24/7 EVEN AFTER SOMEONE'S FATHER JUST DIED?" I honestly thought if I had to read about his hands "down the front of her panties" one more time I would scream or join a nunnery. Or both.

The first book in this series was enjoyable. The author writes well, in terms of competent prose, and there was a sense of the forbidden (teacher/student romance) even if the bulk of the novel takes place in Aspen among the super wealthy. The second book was essentially light erotica. And the third book became an implausible screed of teenage angst. If you've read the first two then you may as well read it to complete the series - and frankly teenage marriage, motherhood and housewifedom aren't really my idea of a dream ending for a modern young woman. But really it's less of a continuation of the love story than two completely new plotlines about an oil company and reconciliation with a birth parent.

I guess my overall disappointment with this series was that it wasn't much of a teacher-student romance because they're never at school. So you never really get much of the suppressed/hidden feelings and electricity in the classroom, having to hide and sneak about, etc, that tends to make this genre forbidden and fun.

Hmmm...this book wasn't bad...it could have been better... but.... I was expecting something way different.
I really wanted to fall head over heels with this book. I mean I LOVED the first two books and was anxiously awaiting for this book....
But I didn't feel the same with this book. I felt like something was missing. 90% of the book was about Wilson not wanting to deal with her problems. She was overly needy. And kind of depressing...& very selfish.
I wanted & wished Wilson would have grown up a bit in this book... Prove to herself that she can overcome & conquer her problems. But I didn't feel that happened.
Max... Wasn't to bad. He stepped up. Took care business.
The sex in the book was hot!... Loved it!
The epilogue...
I was hoping it would have been maybe 5-10yrs into their lives.
Them already married, babies... something. Instead I felt that maybe there might be another book in the works??
All in all...I loved reading about Wilson & Max! I just wish it could have been different.
But if another book was written about them or any other of the characters in Wilson Mooney series. I would read it!!

Max and Wilson's story picks up where we left off. Max's father has just passed away and Max and Wilson's relationship is up in the air. In a moment of weakness Wilson betrays him. Max is broken, damaged, lonely and lost after loosing his father, add his father making big decisions for his future he realises Wilson is worth fighting for.
Wilson is distraught and ends up being comforted by Nick, Nick sees his chance to lay one on Wilson. Little does Wilson know He wants more from her then friendship.

Max and Wilson's love for one another doesn't keep them apart for long, these two were made for each other and nothing will stand in their way. While the are lots of twists and turns that come their way these two are determined that their love is worth everything.

I loved Joanie she is an awesome side character and goes way beyond for her best friend. I have loved the journey and love story of Max and Wilson the ending was just perfect I loved it, it wraps up everything. the only downside I wish there was a little bit more. Maybe a Christmas Novella hint hint Gretchen! Lol

I have to say I am so happy that this book finally came out! My friends and I waited FOREVER for its release. I loved it. I was so excited that they stayed together. They worked through their struggles they were each going through and made it to the end. I am a little disappointed however. For as long as we had to wait I thought the writing would be slightly better. The plot was great but at points in the book you would read one thing and then two paragraphs later it would contradict itself. Like how Wilson pulled Max's shirt off and then about three paragraphs later she was trying to get under his shirt to feel his skin. I know these are petty things when the book turned out how I wanted it to but honestly it all makes the book well awesome. This one was slightly less awesome, but awesome none the less. Also, I am so happy that she summed up basically every character she mentioned. I'm so grateful.

Wilson and Max have to deal with the after effect of all that conspired after Max’s father’s funeral.

“There was nothing I could do to repair the damage I’d caused.”

Not only do Max and Wilson have to deal with finally being free and able to be out in public as boyfriend and girlfriend, but they have to deal with all the things that are going on outside their lives that either affect them and/or their families.
This book was steamier than the other two in the series. The switch in POVs came at a good pace/timing.
The story starts out strong. It was a page turner as to all the information we were wanting to know with even some new developements.
To the author: I love this quote you put in the end of this book.

“There is no real ending…It’s just the place where you stop the story.” – Frank Herbert- Author

I love that and thank you for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Good conclusion to Wilson and Max's story.

We see both of them grow up a little as they are thrown into situations beyond their control. Wilson has to return to California on her own to deal with her grandparent's house and also ends up having to meet with the Dean at Wesley. After returning to her grandparent's house, she finds a letter from her birth mom that leads to her discovery of others. Everything Wilson has believed is now questioned.

Max is thrown into the position of CEO of his father's company, which he has despised since he was a small child. Not willing to disappoint or let his family down, he does what needs to be done. He hates being separated from Wilson as they both do what they need to.

I loved seeing both characters grow a little more in this book. Both of them were thrown into situations beyond their control and overcame them quite well. It was good to see Joanie happy as well. Good conclusion to this series.

The final book from the trilogy finally came. Wilson and Max got through another storm of betrayal, pain, and distrust. I was thinking the book should be shorter than previous but apparently it isn’t. With the death of his loving father, Max is forced to continue the company legacy as the CEO. Meanwhile, the ghost from the past suddenly knocks on Wilson’s door and all secrets start to revealed. I must say Beyond Eighteen is the perfect closure for the trilogy. It’s been a long way from a forbidden love to a misunderstanding and love betrayal and finally became a true love with full of devotion to each other. I like the closing sentence.... It is a great closure but not really an ending because

“There is no real ending… It’s just the place where you stop the story.”

From the very beginning of this series, I knew that Gretchen de la O had given us a gem. What I had expected was the respectful, slow and magical transition from YA to more Adult. You literally feel like you are grow up with Wilson Mooney, our heroine of the series.

In the final installment to the Wilson Mooney Series, we finally get to know what happened in the epic cliffhanger of "Eighteen At Last." Wilson and Max are reeling from the last few days. Max, dealing with the death of his father and Wilson with the decisions she has made as a result of hurt feelings and misunderstandings.

I almost hate to do this review, mostly because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVED the first two books in this series. This one was just kinda WHAH, WHAH, WHHHAHH for me. Not much to this part of their story to tell the truth, just basically everything coming together for them as the story ends. I thought Wilson was quite a bit whiney and insecure in this book and it was annoying frankly. I am sad, because I really did enjoy the angst of the first part of their story and after such a long wait for the ending I was still left feeling bereft.
