Almost four months have passed since Evie Starling learned she was a Tracker and helped defeat a Daevos Clan that was taking others like her—but that wasn’t the end of the abductions. As an unknown evil emerges, Evie vows to help solve the mystery of the missing Trackers, regardless of the risk.
With new powers she doesn’t understand and can’t control, she turns to Alex and Emil, her two soul mates, for help. But her feelings for them both are tearing her apart. She knows she has to decide between them; however, her memories are only making that choice more difficult.
As the world around her is thrown into chaos, Evie is confronted with what could be a destiny-altering truth. Will she accept her history, her memories, and her role in this life, or choose to ignore the echoes of her past?
As a child, Angela Corbett’s most prized possession was a set of read-along books. She used to follow along with the narrator and dream of when she would be able to read by herself. Her childhood reading habit led her to consider her future career. However, after consulting with her parents, she realized she had already exceeded hobbit height and since fairies and dragonslayers were tricky jobs to get, she decided she wanted to create worlds of her own.
Angela is a USA Today Bestselling author, and a graduate of Westminster College where she double majored in communication and sociology and minored in business. She has worked as a journalist, freelance writer, and director of communications and marketing. She lives in Utah with her extremely supportive husband and their dog, S'more. She loves classic cars, traveling, puppies, and can be bribed with The People's Coffee mochas.

OMG! The second book was even better than the first one! And that ending, was shocking!! Angela, if book 3 doesn't release quick you are going to kill me slowly! - review to come - .................................................................... This is not the review I promised Angela in exchange of the ARC I received, just a few ideas before I can gather all my thought and feelings, because this book really consumed me! „Eternal Starling” is my favourite fantasy trilogy, I had a deep connection with the characters, the story, and the author from the beginning. I just felt like this book was written especially for my soul, I am a romantic, a believer in soul mates, in special love stories, and also a big admire of strong, independent female characters. Well written love triangles also make my heart beat faster or skip a beat. And guess what? This serie has all these ingredients and much more.. I waited impatiently for “Eternal Echoes” to be released, I made thousand of scenarios in my head, thought about Evie, Emil, and Alex, who are no longer just characters for me, they are real, they are my friends, my family, and re-read the first book whenever I missed them. But all my ideas and expectations were nothing, compared to Angela’s imagination, that created a fantastic second book. In this book, Evie starts to discover special powers she has, and tries to find answers to a lot of questions that torment her.. questions about her past, her present, who she really is and who is her true soul mate. Deciding between Emil and Alex is extremely difficult, because she will lose one of them forever, and spend with the other the eternity. She doesn’t have to choose just a boyfriend, she has to take a road that can change her life forever. I loved this book, it was even better than the first one, all the suppositions about Evie’s powers and who se might be were shocking, left me speechless, and the end was mind-blowing. My emotions and ideas are buttlerflies I need to catch, because now I don’t feel capable of writing the review that “Eternal Echoes” and Angela deserve, outline all the important aspects and make you feel as I felt reading it!
Oh I just love Evie and all of her snarky-ness. I was chuckling through the whole thing, she's hilarious.
Really enjoyed this sequel! I loved all of the flashbacks (especially the one where she has long blond hair. What?!) and how the puzzle pieces are slowly coming together. I especially liked the second half. She's taking the plot in a direction that I totally was not expecting but I LOVE it.
The love triangle continues. While I was hoping for a bit more clarity as to who she's going to end up with I'm not nearly as annoyed at I normally would be at this point. I totally get why she can't decide. They're both her soul mates, she's truly in love with both of them. And whoever she doesn't pick ends up being alone forever. How do you make that choice?! So ya, I feel her pain and I get it.
Just one word of wisdom... the cliff hanger at the end of this book is unreal. Like, it's going to make you want to throw the book across the room. I would wait until book three comes out if you want to sleep at night because you're going to NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IMMEDIATELY.
Whelp, I did this to myself. I started another series that isn’t finished. 🤦🏼♀️ Again, authors, if you can’t finish series, DON’T WRITE THEM!
Several things 1. Usually the book is close enough to another series I can figure out what the ending could have been, but not so with this book 2. Another love triangle - but I can’t figure out who I’m rooting for. Both Alex and Emil have their good and not so great qualities. And no good comes out of a love triangle as someone is left either dead or without a happily ever after 3. This book is left with a massive cliff hanger. Caleb is back and Evie is falling into a flashback that is sure to bring more questions but also some clarity 4. The author hasn’t produced the final book and it’s been over ten years! Why is it that some authors can produce multiple quality books in a year and some authors can’t finish their stupid stories?! 5. On the author’s website she has a “coming soon” section for the final book in this trilogy. I don’t know how long that’s been there, but I’m assuming years. She really needs to get clarification on what soon means, because years and decades isn’t it! She said that she isn’t contracted for this book so she has to write it in her spare time. I know I don’t understand an authors life, but if you started writing the story, you would think you have an idea of where it would end - so why is it taking decades to finish?! Again it goes back to why some authors can produce multiple books at a time and others can’t. Apparently Angela Corbett can only write one book at a time and only books she’s contracted for. 6. As a reader, unfinished series are so unsatisfying and really makes me not want to read anything else published by the author because I don’t want to get into another story just to be left hanging.
THIS REVIEW MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL ITS JUST ME WRITING MY FEELINGS BECAUSE THIS BOLK AS LEFT ME SO CONFUSED
I have never be so anger at the ending of a book. Anger at such a cliffhanger that I actually want to cry. I feel Alex is her soulmate nothing will change that. There are some confusing things in this book. Like it seems that in her flashbacks she was alex before she was with emil. So I am very confused about that. Also confused about this holloween they are talking about. After this I need a break from reading. Specially knowing that the 3rd book doesnt have a release date as per a comment from the author. My heart is hurting. Even so the first book and this book were beautifully written and it is amazing way of thinking. I am just hurt which is so silly.

After finished Eternal Starling a while ago, I was looking forward to finding out how Evie's story would continue and who would turn out to be her one true soulmate. Needless to say, I started reading the moment I received a copy of Eternal Echoes... and it kept me glued to the screen from the first to the last word.
Evie's character evolved from the first book. She is stronger and stands her ground, knowing that she is not totally defenseless against whatever may come and trusting in her own instincts. Even if she gets herself in trouble, she still grew up a litte more – both emotionally and personality-wise. Despite being torn between two guys, she seems less like a leaf in the wind but more like a flower that equally needs sun and rain to survive. Her feelings for both guys feel genuinly deep and unconditional and she understands her decision will be a life-changing one, not only for her but for Alex and Emil as well.
The flashbacks into Evie's past lives were a great add-on. Discovering past events and the history between her and Alex vs. Emil diversifies the story and lets you understand the protagonists and their actions more. As a reader of Eternal Echoes, you are literally on a journey to help Evie piece together her past and explore her feelings towards each of the men in her life.
Apart from the characters, also Angela Corbett's writing style evolved from the first book. It was engaging before but the improved writing style makes it possible to connect with the characters and storyline on a whole new level. I was completely drawn into the story and kept thinking about how it could turn out, even after stopping to read for the day. It was the first time that I actually thought I still had 10 pages left to read and suddenly it was only 1 because of the preview for another book. How frustrating! That is quite a frustrating feeling for a reader... even more so, if the book ends with a cliffhanger! The story builds up, you hang on every word and forget everything around you and then.... nothing. It's just over. Clever and frustrating all at the same time.
The storyline is well-conceived, easy to follow, almost addictive and has the right balance between love, action and humour. Let me just say: toilet paper and forks!
Even with critique mode switched on fully, I can't think of anything to criticize and I sincerely recomment this book to anyone looking for a pleasurable read that moves you, makes you laugh, smile and gets your pulse racing. Eternal Echoes fits the bill.
I'm most definitely hooked and can't wait to find out what happened and if Evie will finally choose the right guy for eternity! (Obviously there's only one choice from my perspective. * picks a straw from her hair * ;-) )
* I was provided with an ebook copy of Eternal Echoes by Angela Corbett for an honest review. *
I received and ARC to read and was so excited because it has been forever since I read the first book in the series and I loved it. This book was everything I expected and then some. Poor Evie is stuck with two wonderful sexy men that love her and she loves them and she has to choose which is really her soul mate. The men decide that she needs to date them both to make an informed decision and the fun begins. In the back ground of all this fun is the worrisome problem of who she is and what happened in her past. People are out to kill her and dark shadows and taking trackers all over the world and a war is looming in the near future. I loved learning more about Evie and her past with her sexy men. I love how her powers are growing and she is becoming a stronger person. When the time to meet the bad guy comes I was so surprised to find out who it was and what he is actually doing. It ended on and terrible cliff hanger and now I can't wait to find out what happens next and who Evie really is and why he did it!! AAAAAHHHHH!!! I hate waiting for the next book!! I do recommend this series though and hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
I have just finished the second book in the emblem of eternity. All i said was 'OH. MY. GOD.' Believe me i was shocked and sad at the same time. Who read this book would understand me... I am still shocked and i want to read the third book!!!(((( This book is much better than the first book. I can't wait for the third book to come out... only in 2014/2015 winter which is sad, i will have to wait quite long to get the book. I recommend this book to people who enjoy reading love triangles and the battle between two guys which both love the same girl, and she doesn't know who she must chose as her lover since both of them are her soulmates. I enjoy this type of books. Looking forward to read the third book.... CAN'T WAIT!!!
3.5 stars. It has been a while since I read the first one. So I forgot a lot of what happened in the first book. It would have helped if I remembered more of the first book. It was a good book. I did however get a little tired of the love triangle thing. And how Evie kept putting herself in dangerous situations. But it was a good book. Shocking ending and I really hope Angela gets the third book out quickly!! I definitely want to find out what happens!
This was hard to read after loving the first book. I did not love this one. It was slow and overly dramatic. These characters claim to be each other's soulmates, but they lie to each other, they dislike each other's company, and are angry at each other all the time. It was not believable for her to fall in love, or even like, with someone who treats her so poorly.
This continuation of the Emblem of Eternity was as good as the first book in the trilogy. The bits of information about who Evie really is, and who Emil and Alex are enough to make me want to see this through to the last book. The cliffhanger is one I didn't see coming, though I suspected it wasn't going to be what I thought. Perhaps Book #3 will change my mind.
If you like mystery, mayhem and a little bit of love thrown in,you have to read this book. This is the second.d one in the series so please read them in order.Once you have met Evie or whom ever she is you will not be able to put these books down.
That was a great read. Loved it. Just as good as the first. Oh, the ending. Can't wait to read book 3. I love Evie and Emil and Alex are awesome. I'm dying to find out who she chooses.
