I really loved the continuation of their lives and I am now so impatient for the next book. Ava has left me wanting the rest of her story. I love the addition of the new characters and cant wait to see where they go and what they get into in the next story. Thank you for another awesome book. Exposure by Christina Mobley is the sequel to Elementris. Ava has accepted her gift as being the embodiment of Mother Nature. It's her job to keep the elements in balance as well as protect those born of the elements. She is working hard to find her place on Element Island and live up to the expectations. However, the secret of the island and those she is set to protect is threatened with Lyssa Relic begins showing off her power over water. Thomas, one of the Clutch, is sent to protect Lyssa while Ava and the council try to right what she has done.

This book focuses quite a bit on Lyssa, her background, and her struggles. She doesn't want to expose her secret, but it seems as if everyone is out to manipulate her and push her in the wrong direction. Once Thomas shows up, she finds she has an attraction towards him and wants to change her ways, to do the right thing, but it is too late? To make matters worse, a salvage ship has been lingering closer and closer to the island adding more threat of an exposure!

Well written YA paranormal book. Great descriptive language - I had no problem envisioning the island, the characters, etc.

*possible spoilers*
I liked that Lyssa and Thomas were starting to feel something towards each other, but I wasn't so hot on them suddenly professing their love when I felt they didn't know enough about each other. I was okay with Alec and Ava did it b/c he had this destined bond between them. Thomas and Lyssa didn't have that. I would have liked to have read more about their time together to see that love grow, or have the professed love in a future book.
Similar to Elementris, I enjoyed seeing the heroin (Lyssa) find her inner strength and mature.
Was so thrown when Brea took off with the ring and thought for sure she had pulled the wool over our eyes and she was going to end up being a bad guy. Was happy that twist wasn't there. Was shocked to find out who Lyssa's birth parents were. I cannot wait to see how that plays out with Ava in future books.
I'm not one for cliff hanger endings and this one did a bit. No sure much a cliff hanger, but a shocking moment that made me want to start the next book right away. (And like before, I wish there were some steamy scenes that would have lead up to that shocker at the end! Mobley however doens't have a date set for the next book! The wait begins!

Christina has done it again! Pulled into a world of wonder and the most amazing characters, she entrapped me with this sequel to Elementris. I could not put this book down! Ever turn there was something that kept me reading on, wanting to know more, what happens next. You just do not get it, I wanted to put the book down and go to sleep but could not do it! Finally I fell asleep last night around 5AM with my kindle light still on!!! Okay then tonight, yeah I had to finish it, there were so many unanswered questions that I had to find out if my theories were right or not!

Exposure opens up with Ava as the True Elementris stepping up into her role and doing all she can to keep the peace on the island and off in the world. Using her amazing powers to keep balance with her elements. I was introduced to a girl named Lyssa, which has been through a lot over the last seven months, with losing her father and trying to save a home she has known since she was born. She became destructive in a school that finally took to punishing her for her acting out. Stepmothers and their hair-brained ideas, thinks that showing the world what Lyssa can do will save their home and pay off the mortgage. Little does Lyssa know what she is about to do is Expose everyone, hurting those she holds dear.

Ava with her awesomeness brings Lyssa to the island, trying to find out why Lyssa has tried to Expose them... Working out a deal with Lyssa, Ava sends Thomas (breathtaking, southern accent, sexy, clutch guard) to protect Lyssa. Does Lyssa keep her word and refrain from more Exposure? Will her best friend Zack stand by her whatever decision she makes? Lyssa has a choice, will it be her best friend or the clutch guard sent to protect her at all cost?

I had so many theories to so many questions, some of which I was on the right track, while others floored me. One in particular completely baffled me, but looking back on it now I should have known. I almost feel like I should have made the connection.

The Vangeretta Curse Series has started out great!
Elementris was awesome & Exposure was just amazing!

Let me start off with this book is AMAZING. If you have read Elementris then you know you need to read this book. If you haven't read Elementris you must go read that one first to better understand what is happening in this book. This book is laid out perfectly and everything happens at a perfect pace. I didn't feel like anything was rushed and surely didn't have any slow moments. I went threw several emotions during this book. I felt antsy, rage, hatred, love, and happiness. This author has done an amazing job with this book.

Lyssa is a sweet girl who has had it a little rough. She tries to do the right thing and it seems to backfire on her a lot. But she always seems to come out on top and stronger after everything. She is an amazing girl never giving up threw it all.

Thomas is a hoot. His accent makes me laugh and the things he says is hilarious. He is a sweet guy and of course HOT. :). He struggles with his own feelings and trying to figure out what is right and what is not. He is put to the test about his feelings and I am so glad that it ended up the way it did. Love Thomas.

Ava and Alec's relationship of course grows more in this book. They are such a cute couple. Ava still struggles with her new powers and has a lot of things happen that she has to fix but she is a great leader.

And I just have to put out there that Vincent sucks and is a snarky old man that needs to be put in his place. Enough said you will understand when you read the book. :)

If you are reading this trying to decide whether to give it a shot or not. Take my word on this and buy the book. You will not be disappointed. :)

I can't believe she actually did it!!! Now she has to deal with one of the hardest problems ever. Plus she is worried about a girl who may steal something very special to her. My favorite person in this on is Ava herself. Even though she's been through a lot she still gets everything down and tried to take care of the problem with a little help from Alec. Now together they are getting stronger with the connection they share. The one I really, really didn't like was Vincent, he can be a real jerk sometimes! I mean it's Ava's first time and he's putting all this stuff on her like she can take it at once. Not like it's not already hard enough with Alec gone almost all the time especially when she needs him the most! I cannot wait to read Exposure!

The Vangeretta Curse series is unique series, likened to that of a cross between Hex Hall and the Sweetest Dark. Ava is essentially Mother Nature, and it is her role to balance the weather around the world, sending rain to dry parched land and sunshine to gloomy skies. She rules others born of the element, where every seven years, five babies born on the same day and at the exact same time are bound by the gifts of the spirit, wind, earth, fire and water.

Be warned, there IS a happy ending, but the revelation will leave you feeling dependent and needy for book three.

This is book two in The Vangeretta Curse series, this book picks up right where Elementris left off where Ava becomes the true Elementris. I have to say that this series keeps getting better and better. I love Ava's story and also love all the other characters like Alec, Brea, Thomas, etc. I read this book in one sitting because I didn't want to put the book down. I love the ending of this book and can't wait until the next book in the series comes out. If you love paranormal, suspense, and romance then this book and this series is for you.

A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Words can't express how much I loved this book. From start to finish I was hooked and found it impossible to put down. The world that Christina has created is one that I truly wish I could be a part of. The characters that she creates are so relatable that you either love them or love to hate them. I am so excited to see how the rest of this series turns out. :)
