This is one of the most inspiring, spiritual books I have ever read. I'm inclined to call it the best if there's such a thing. I frequently quote from it and never get tired leafing through it. The Book of Tokens is a collection of metaphysical meditations on the twenty-two Tarot Trumps. It speaks the language of prophets: mystical, symbolic poetry. It's crowned with many spiritual gems that sparkle in the light of ageless wisdom. Here, Tarot is used in the original purpose, the purpose it was invented for: spiritual enlightenment. Paul Foster Case gives you also a taste of Gematria, the secret code of the Bible. Consider getting the color edition, since it includes colored pictures of Tarot cards designed by Paul Foster Case.
This book is great for the early intermediate Tarot/Qaballah student who is working towards a deeper grasp of the Qaballistic symbolism. It is a series of meditations on the Trumps.
Paul Foster Case is an authority of occult teaching, with particular emphasis on the Tarot. These prose poem styled meditations upon the symbolism of the cards and their relation to QBLH and other esoteric disciplines are provocative and densely packed with hints and revelations that provide a deeper understanding of the Major Arcana. This is an essential text to aid in tarot study and divination guidance.
A short collection of meditations synthesizing the tarot, Hebrew alphabet, gematria and Kabbalah. One gets the sense of a deep richness from this book. I came across this from a Ram Dass lecture and it sounded interesting. My wife has been studying tarot and I have become interested in Kabbalah so this became an interesting read. If you have an interest in any of these topics, I think you’ll enjoy how the author ties these together with a deeper spiritual meaning.
