I'm super pissed off right now! (But not in the literal sense) I need more right now! After reading this novel, I'm definitely team Gage. Half way through the novel I was wishy washy on who should end up with Skyla because Logan and Gage both deserve her but at the end of this novel, I have to say that Gage is my favorite. It'll probably change a million times by the end of the retelling of the tales on Paragon Island by Logan and Gage's POV but that's okay. I can't wait until they start school and we get to see how the boys react to Marshall because that will be very entertaining.

Addison Moore, you've done it again. You've told a tale that we've already know (and fallen in love with) but turned it into something brand new and even included the new car scent.

The Celestra is ridiculously entertaining. It can't be taken seriously, it's fun, flirty and completely and utterly ridiculous... But I still adore it. The Oliver boys have a cult following and now it seems by popular demand, we have Ethereal Knights, from dual points of view from both Cage and Logan.

The two boys are polar opposites, Cage is strong and seemingly the alpha male of the two, but in Ethereal Knights we see his sensitive side. His unrequited love for Skyla and the poems she inspires. Logan shows that he isn't always the sensitive, quiet soul, his inner dialogue is nothing more than a lust filled teenage boy.

The point of view from both boys can be a little out of context at times, one minute they will describe the weather on the island as poetic euphemism for making love, the next they are talking about having a painful erection thinking about Skyla. It can be a little awkward.

I love the Oliver boys, they really are the guilty pleasure of many women around the world. I would highly recommend this for fans of Celestra, who have read all previous eight books in the series.

This is a review by Celeste, Jag and Ana!

Celeste: Team Logan
Ana: Team Gage
Jag: Team Gage!

First thoughts before we even read a single word:
Celeste: Yahhhhh Mama. I love the cover and this is from Logan and Gage’s POV?!?! Sign. Me. Up.
Ana: I can’t wait to see what these boys have to say! I love being able to read a story from a different angle!
Jag: The cover is hott and I am a SUCKER for the boys POV. Hear that authors, I’m easy money when it comes to getting inside the boys bed head.

The story, how it was written:
Celeste: Holy sex on the brain! *whispers* I love it. These boys are a little bit naughty and I’m a little bit likey.
Ana: Logan and Gage do not monitor their thoughts…nor do they watch their words. I love that they’re naughty and straightforward and…well…boys!!
Jag: 24/7 sexy-time thoughts. I loved it, there’s no filter when you crawl into these boy’s brains and it’s spicey.

Expectations we had and if they were met:
Celeste: I LOVED Ethereal so the bar was set pretty high for this novel. I kind of expected it to surpass the original. And it did.
Ana: I wasn’t sure what to expect since I was about to, in essence, reread Ethereal. But I was very pleasantly surprised. I learned a few things and I witnessed conversations that made the story richer for me.
Jag: I loved both of these boys so it was a true treat to find out what they were going through when Skyla came to town. I did wonder if this book would be as readable if you hadn’t read Ethereal so I’m going to recommend you read it before tackling these boys *wink*

Feelings about the characters, how did they stay the same/change:
Logan
Celeste: Logan is “the bad boy”. I think I loved him even more with this book and I didn’t know that was possible. He is one dirty boy, but he truly is drawn to Skyla and genuinely falling for her.
Ana: hmmmm…this is a tough one because I basically always wanted Logan to just get the heck out of Gage’s way when I first read the books but I did learn quite a bit about what goes on in his mind and I may like him just a little bit more now! ;)
Jag: I have to admit, I think I like Logan a little less after reading this. I think knowing what he knows he should step aside <— vague non-spoilerish comment lol
PS, foot-long *runs away* <— Ana and Celeste giggle madly here!!

Gage
Celeste: He is “the nice guy”, and while I loved getting in his head he was just not meant to be with Skyla. I know he would disagree, but he was still just the means to an end for me and he is only going to end up hurt. He is also wayyyyyy pervier than I thought!
Ana: My love for Gage has not changed. Hearing his thoughts in this book made me feel that much more for him. Wanting Skyla and believing that she’s meant for him and then watching her with Logan…I felt his sadness and loved him even more!!
Jag: I ADORE GAGE, ADORE PEOPLE (and remember, I have no soul). He felt like such the underdog throughout this book until the end and then it ENDED *stink-eye Addison* <3

Skyla
Celeste: She was the same to me. I already had been in her head. I didn’t know she was that gorgeous! It was cool to see that she was not full of herself.
Ana: I’m not sure my opinion of her changed. But I did love seeing her through the boys’ eyes. Understanding how they saw her was great!
Jag: She’s torn and I love her for that, even more because I know I would be too.

What we loved more:
Celeste: I loved the Oliver boys more. I loved their intensity and what were up against even though they tried to still act like normal teens. I also could not get enough of their naughty inner dialogue. More please!!! I also liked the boys thoughts on Chloe…. I thought Logan had really loved her when I read Ethereal, now I know what the deal was.
Ana: I loved learning more about Gage and Logan’s relationship. I enjoyed seeing them interact and hearing them “think” about each other, how close they are and how much they really love each other.
Jag: I loved the little insights into the lives of Gage and Logan when Skyla isn’t around. They’re family, they love each other and they’re stuck in a shit situation <—more vague

Gripes:
Celeste: Um, none. For real!
Ana: I thought that some of the wording used in describing nature, the fog, etc. didn’t feel like words a boy would use. It didn’t diminish my enjoyment of the book but it did cause me to roll my eyes a couple of times.
Jag: I think I was bothered most by the fact that we really didn’t get any more insights into Chloe, those boys know more and need to spill.

Overall:
Celeste: Well there was no major news flash with this story since I had already read it, but this was just so delicious. It really rounded out the series for me. Thank you, Addison!
Ana: Of course, nothing new happened because the story is already written, but I feel like I know more about these characters. I feel like I’ve been let in on little secrets about the relationships and it makes me wonder what these boys can tell me about the rest of the books!
Jag: I LOVED the freshness of getting to see the POV of the 2 boys fighting for the girl, we never get that. We always read about how the girl is feeling. I REALLY enjoyed this book and WANT MORE, don’t leave us HANGING ADDISON, it’s GAGE’S TURN!

This was ok for me. First of all, the main thing I kept thinking while reading this was "Wow, my husband was right when he used to tell me that if women really knew what men were thinking we wouldn't stop slapping them". It's like, the books from Skyla's point of view were awesome & had some steamy parts. Seeing into the mind of 2 overly hormonal 17 year old boys was not sexy to me but kind of a turn off. Every five seconds they're talking about "wetting their wick" was just gross. Purely animalistic sexuality. It just wasn't my thing. The second thing that I found irritating was I was hoping we might get at least a couple of big clues about what the deal with Chloe & her whole big plan, etc. there were a few minor things here & there, but it was mainly one pornographic fantasy after another between the 2 boys. I have it 3 stars bc Addison knows how to tell a story you still keep turning the pages even if you're irritated.

It was ok.... The story is so much better without the horndog interworkings of the boys but was interesting to go back and get it from their perspective. Filled in a few holes too.

“I glance over at the bathroom. I think I’ll alleviate a little tension myself before tracking down Skyla.”
“I don’t want her to think I dragged her all teh way up here to maul her – but God, how I would love to maul her.”

I wanted to rate this book higher since it was a good story but then thinking about my teenager reading it stops me cold. This story while it is he point of view from Gage and Logan falls short in a couple of areas while yes delivering a good story not suitable for teens in my humble opinion. I would have loved to get more about who each young man really is and a little more background so I could connect with them being more than horny teens fighting over a girl while barely restraining their hormones. I will red more because I like the author and have many more of her books to read and review and I like her style.

Fantastic read

I’m actually rereading this series from start to finish because it’s epic! This was one of the first few series I read as an ebook.
Now, including spin-off series, there are soon to be 20 books and I plan to devour each and every one before the next release. This series is good enough to do that with and I rarely reread anything.
This is book 1 from the guys pov, but it’s chocked full of information you don’t get from the original book. Doesn’t have to be read, but I recommend it.
Take a break and settle in for the adventure waiting on Paragon. It’s a crazy ride and worth every minute. Ten glittery stars, so five for rating purposes lol.

I love any and every book that Addison Moore has put out there and this book is no different. Celestra is one of my all time favorite series so its no surprise that I loved this one. I like the different view the reader gets out of this book. A must read for any Celestra fan out there.

So Addison Moore has done it again! Every time I think this series can not get any better, she some how manages to accomplish just that. This is ethereal knights, which is a retelling of book one in her Celestra from the point of view of the two Oliver boys. It is not a new story, but since the first book only showed us things from Skyla's POV, there is so much more to be discovered.

I should probably start out with the fact that I am kind of mad at Addison. I completely knew who I wanted Skyla to end up with when this series ends (there is currently one book left). She had to go and ruin it for me. Seriously, I had a strong non-love for Logan from the first book and now that I see his side of things, I am so confused. I kind of like the guy now. Uggggggg. Now I do not know who I should be cheering on!

I have read the first book in this series numerous times. I tend to reread the series before a new book comes out. I thought I knew it all. If it was a category on Jeopardy I would so sweep it. Now that I have read Ethereal Knights, I realize there was so much more to the story. If you have not read Celestra, I highly recommend you pick it up. It is currently free and reading it before you read this, or at least reading it back to back will make both books so much more and considering how amazing they are, that is saying something.

Here are some things I loved about this book:

* This book really filled in the "I wonder why's" of what those Oliver boys did. There were many times when I just shook my head at them and tried to figure out why Skyla was even interested in them, especially *cough* Logan.

* This probably does not even need to be said, but here it is anyways : Those yummy Oliver boys. Seriously, who could get enough of their yumminess. The teasers on Addison's website where little itty bitty scenes were rewritten from their point of view were not enough.

* Gage's visions: I thought I knew when some of Gage's visions had come to pass, but know that I have seen a bunch of them, I realize I know nothing. Seriously, it is seriously a whole different ballgame than I thought it was. Not only did I get to see somethings that I really wanted to "see" first hand ;) .

* I may complain about it, but the fact that I no longer thing Logan is unworthy (ok, I had other choice words for him) is awesome. It makes me look forward to the next book even more than I was slated to be the top of my TBR the day it was released.

* Addison did not hold back. They are teenage boys and as such think about things that girls might not and she let those things show. Ok, I will just say it. Those boys did not always think with the head on their shoulders.

*Even though this is a retelling, I never once felt like I was hearing the same story, different day. It was new and fresh and fun.

*There is something about Addison's writing style that just connects with me. Her use of language has me constantly using my highlight feature because I want to be able to find and reread those moments. There are very few authors whose voice touches me this way.

This book is amazing, covered with spectacular sauce, sprinkled with some genius and topped with wonderful. This is definitely mature YA, because let's be honest, teenage boys can be perves. If you have read and enjoyed any of this series, this book should definitely be on your TBR.

3.5 Stars!
This is one of those series that I truly love to hate. It has all the classic drama that usually makes me roll my eyes, a love triangle (okay maybe even more than a triangle at this point), teenage angst, the mean girls and the typical pretty popular girl that strings the two really great guys along and sometimes seems to toy with them. I know, I know. You are thinking, why in the world do you read this stuff, but for whatever reason, this series has sucked me in. Maybe it is the great characters, because even though they are the “typical insert whatever here” they are still fantastic.

Or maybe I love the angel storyline, which okay, still doesn't make sense because most angel books and I just don't get along. I don't know. Maybe it is Moore's ability to tell a story and make the unbelievable believable. Either way, here I was super excited at the thought of reading the first book in the series Ethereal through the point of view of the two hunky Oliver boys. I mean, have you seen Logan and Gage? What's not to love about them?

So, even though I had a million other books to read before this one, I made the time and read this one anyways. I couldn't help it. After all the teasers Moore posted on her blog I was dying to read this and get an inside look into what makes the Oliver boys tick. Plus okay, I wanted more of two of my favorite boys. You know, the ones I love to hate. Wait, actually I don't hate them. It is Skyla that I usually love to hate. Anyhoo, I definitely got that inside look and wow! I have to say, I love them even more now.

I love that Moore listened to her fans and gave them exactly what they wanted when she created this. I can only hope that there will be many more to come because I would love more.

My only disappointment was that I thought I would love Gage more after reading this and honestly, I didn't. In fact, I think maybe I loved Logan more and I really didn't want that because I am team Gage all the way. Dang Moore and her writing!

This really was a great addition to the series and like I mentioned above, one I hope we get more of.

So this book is essentially new POV to a story I absolutely love. Ethereal by Addison Moore the first book in the epic Celestra Series!!

DO NOT READ THIS BOOK BEFORE YOU READ ETHEREAL! You would definitely get lost.
The Celestra Series is absolutely my FAVORITE SERIES! I recommend it over and over!!!!! You won't be disappointed!

Addison Moore I just want to say thank you thank you thank you for this amazing POV experience with our boys from Paragon!!!!
I wouldn't be mad if you did this with the whole series! ;)

I was very surprised more than once through this read. I have read Ethereal three times and this book got me good! Oh man the guys back and forth is priceless! And I like that Logan's desire not to really hurt his nephew shines through. As well as both of their deep admiration for Skyla. I was totally taken in and pretty surprised at sweet Logan's naughty side. And a look at Gage's vulnerable side. It fills in what you know to give you an extremely well rounded three sixty of this story.
Bravo Addison!

This book is a very very good read!!!!!!! *sigh*
Now to read it again!

I have to say I really, really liked this book. I had originally thought that it wouldn't be very much different than the original itself, but I was dead wrong!! I loved being able to see through Logan and Gage's point of view because I liked seeing Skyla through their eyes. They did have me cracking me up with all their boy talk!!! That's the whole reason I like hanging out with guys because their whole banter is hilarious!! I do find myself bouncing back between who I really want Skyla to be with, even in this book! I think Gage is so honorable and pure with his love for Skyla, every girl deserves a guy like Gage. Logan, on the other hand, has had his heart broken by Chloe and has love-at-first-sight with Skyla. I believe if you really and truly liked Ethereal (the original) you should read it through new eyes in this new spin. Plus, Ms. Moore gives us more dirt on Chloe and unearths her not-so angelic behavior patterns.

In my view, this book is an epic fail. I love the Celestra series and I really enjoy 'the guy's point of view' companion novellas that have become popular recently. This however is incredibly awkward, too much of a regurgitation of the original novel with little new to add and worst of all, it paints all three main characters as fairly unlikeable. Skyla comes across as a skank in training, Logan as a crass, arrogant douche and Gage as a Machiavellian schemer. The only message I took from this in addition to the original story was that both guys sport permanent erections whilst Skyla constantly flaunts herself in skanky clothing. A virgin she may be but certainly not virginal.

It is also the only book in the series that I have had difficulty finishing.

This is one of my fav indie series. I read Ethereal over a year ago and reading this version of Ethereal as the boys POV was pretty awesome. It's nice to see the way the boys think, feel and act. Although, most of the time they just think with their parts... I found Logan to be dirtier in that sense then Gage. Logan was looking for Mrs.Right Now while Gage was looking for Mrs. Right. Gage was patiently waiting for the girl of his dreams/visions. It just turned out that the girl he was waiting for was also the girl he told Logan he would be with very shortly. Who's the best man for Skyla? We are still trying to figure that out! I'm leaning more towards Gage now :)

Start to finish, this was Great Book!

It was hard at times to read because you want the happily ever after for all characters, but this book takes you through twists and turns and sometimes let's you down. But the complete unselfish ways of these characters eventually led me to fall in love with all of them. Truly a great book, and no I have not been paid to leave this review. LOL. Just a girl that loves to read.

interesting concepts

I liked the paranormal world that was built in this story. And I also found out I should have started with a different book and the POV shift probably would not have been as confusing. I like the characters well enough but you definitely have to read these in order!!

Love this series! Can't get enough of Logan and Gage and I like the fact that this book is told from their prospective. I found myself not being able to put it down form wanting to see what happens next and enjoying the interaction of the different characters. Addison Moore rocks!

I loved this book. To tell the truth I liked the book better from Gage and Logan's point of veiw. It did make me go from being team Logan to team Gage. I hope to get the read the rest of the books from their pov.

I loved reading from the Oliver boy's perspective! Let's you see what they're really thinking & feeling during those moments of Celestra when you're wondering who's genuine and who's not, and thinking to yourself... "what's going through that boys mind?"
Great Job! Love it!

I gave up about half way through. I think my boredom with this one had more to do with me saving it until after the series than it being written poorly. It needs to be read either with Celestra book 1 or right afterwards.
