It’s a few weeks before Christmas and the Chicago gangs unit readily dismisses the death of Aisha Wright, a teen who was caught in the urban crossfire. But Chicago homicide detective Ryan Doherty and his partner, Matt Di Santo, won’t take a holiday until the case is solved.
As Ryan works to find Aisha’s killer, he also has two more puzzles to solve: who jacked his classic ’66 Mustang and what he could possibly get his new girlfriend for Christmas…
Jennifer Moss is a native of the Chicago area, the setting of her series of mysteries with a metaphysical twist. After graduating from Northwestern University, she moved to Los Angeles where she worked full time in technology and the dot-com industry. Jennifer now divides her time between L.A. and her home in the mountains near Yosemite National Park.
Be sure to check out the first four in her series: TOWN RED, WAY to GO, TAKING the RAP, and FRIEND of the FAMILY!
I bought this short story immediately after finishing Town Red by the same author. It's a great mix of a quick investigation for Double D and an adorable holiday story. Another great read!
