Jennifer Harris has been struggling for a very long time. In order to cope with life she's had to create a safe little bubble only she can control.
Emotionally and physically scarred from a childhood accident, she’s terrified of any kind of personal or romantic relationship.
Forced into a moment of panic, she moves her life and business to Bloomington Indiana, and makes a vow to stay away from anybody and everybody.
But life doesn't behave as Jen planned and from day one a whole barrage of people are invading her personal space. There's Lily the social butterfly, the gregarious Sean and Sebastian from the third floor, and then there's Todd, the impossibly gorgeous landlord.
They all collide to make Jen's life hell and maybe just a little bit more optimistic too.
For someone whose life has been in the slow lane, events quickly overtake Jen, until an unspeakable act of violence strikes close to home, and suddenly everybody’s life stands still.
Without a choice anymore, Jen is now irrevocably connected and Todd won't settle for it any other way. He has plenty of secrets of his own and he’s determined enough for the both of them, that Jen is the girl for him.
Naive and fragile, Jen has a lot to learn as well as some catching up to do, and Todd is just the man to get it done!
Blooming, although dealing with some serious issues, is a novel about love, hope, moving-on and friendship – whether you choose those friends or not! It moves along at a fast pace and has plenty of more light-hearted moments, as well as some fairly heated sexual content.

Jen is an introverted 27 years woman, Todd is her new landlord.
He pursues her, she Is not interested, even if she’s attracted to him.
He perseveres. She opens up.
The he becomes more and more a controlling jerk who treats Jen as an immature
person who can’t handle the reality of life, although she has been a self sufficient
and self supporting woman for many years.
The background characters have no depth.
