The author in this apocalyptic tale takes the reader on a trip, initially, through the thought processes of a number who "dream" of an upcoming series of devastating events. Then the events themselves occur with the characters coming together who foresaw those events. Floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, war, all are foretold and all come to be. As the reader takes this journey through the machinations of the author a hopeful attitude begins to be shown by one of the principal characters, Carol. The hope she feels spreads in the minds of others while the darkness of some minds created more horrors.
This is the classic tale of good and bad in juxtaposition. It is the old story of evil rearing its ugly head to be confronted by good. Will the goodness of some people prevail? You must read the story to find out. The book is well written. The characters are well drawn and the principal characters easily discerned. The story presents one character whose evil attitudes I do not believe would sit well in the minds of children. I would therefore suggest that older teens be a limitation on the readers who pick up this very entertaining and enjoyable story.
