The more I read, the more I remember, it appears... I tremendously enjoyed this stint at the museum, the girls being cast into the painting and finding out more about the artist Elias Dahl. This also had the beginnings of the inevitable confrontation with Elyon which I found really promising for following installments. We also get to know more about the people in the main characters' orbits which is always very enriching. Excited to read more!

The only thing I felt iffy about is Martin's (a character who almost seems like a MG version of the male characters in the Big Bang Theory) continuously not taking no for an answer when it came to his interest in Irma. (And if I'm not mistaken I think he and Irma will be datig later on anyway... You deserved better, Irma).
As this is a MG comic, I don't think this is the best message to have for young girl tbh (it would've been better if he eventually understood the word no and Irma in fact never wanted to get together with him and maybe they became friends instead).
I definitely remember not really liking him with her when I was a kid even though I liked most of the other 'relationships' there.

Il fumetto L’ultima lacrima di Francesco Artibani è una storia avventurosa e coinvolgente che unisce magia, mistero e anche un tocco di emozione. L’ambientazione nel dipinto e la vicenda di Elias rendono questo volume particolarmente suggestivo e diverso dagli altri, con un tono più fiabesco e malinconico. Nel complesso è una lettura molto piacevole, capace di mescolare azione e sentimento in modo riuscito.

It was a short and cool volume that revolved around Heatherfield's museum.
After constantly searching for Elyon, they finally met her at the museum and learned about her "backstory." But Elyon was filled with nothing but grudge. She banished the girls from reality, and they were thrown inside a "painting."
A painting with a world and life of its own.
From there, they met Elias, the painter of the painting they ended up in, and learned more about Phobos's evildoings. Originally, the girls' powers weren't working. But, of course, with some quick thinking, they were able to decode it, regain their powers, help Elias restore the colors, and make it back to reality once again.

En muistanut, että tytöt joutuvat maalauksen sisälle jo näin varhaisessa vaiheessa. Muistikuvissani tarina Elias Van Dahlinista on paljon myöhemmin ja se oli irrallinen pääjuonesta, mutta olihan silläkin osuutensa tarinasta: Elias on kotoisia Meridianista mutta joutunut Phoboksen karkoittamaksi. Sen sijaan en aivan saanut kiinni tarinan sisäisestä taikalogiikasta: mistä Will oikein keksii, että kyyneleeseen sekoitettuna maalit alkavat taas loistaa? Ja miksi kyyneleeseen sekoitetut maalit palauttavat tyttöjen taikavoimat? Muistan kyllä, että tämä käänne teki minuun suuren vaikutuksen 10-vuotiaana.
Tässä osassa kuullaan lisää Elyonin taustoista. Lukija saa viimein tietää, mitä Elyonille tapahtui ensimmäisessä osassa, kun hän menee treffeille Cedricin kanssa. En lainkaan muistanut, että Elyonin vanhemmat ovatkin kadonneet ja hänet on kasvattanut kaksi upseeria. Vai oliko niin, että lopussa paljastuukin, että he ovat oikeasti Elyonin vanhemmat? Se selviää, kunhan jatkan eteenpäin.

Todo inicia conmigo en una librería en Italia y un cupón de 10 euros para gastar. Revisando todos los libros posibles, encontré este que me trajo un viejo recuerdo de infancia y no dudé en comprarlo.
W.I.T.C.H es una serie de fantasía que nos presenta a cinco amigas y a las aventuras y misterios que vivirán. En este caso, el libro que compré traía los primeros cinco volúmenes de la serie:

Il potere del fuoco
L'ultima lacrima
Todos con cinco estrellas porque no se merece menos. Es una historia brillante, simple de leer y que te mantiene curiosa en la trama.

It feels weird and nostalgic so see some elements that were featured in the cartoon as well! (the painter trapped in the painting)
I had the fourth issue because it was sent to me randomly, probably to make W.I.T.C.H. known to the general public in my country. I wasn't subscribed up untill the end of the second arc, so I what I know is only what I saw in the cartoon.

Rereading this after so many years.
Irma went into a local museum as a date with Martin. While inside, they heard a scream. Irma decided to check it out. She then saw a creature from Meridian who whispered "guardian". After the incident, she told the other guardians about it. Turns out there is a portal in the museum. At night, the decided to sneak in (with will being friendly with the security cameras). Elyon and Cedric were waiting for them inside. They captured the guardians and trapped them inside a painting. The people in the painting didn't know them and thought they were enemies. They were then rescued by Elias. Turns out Elias was actually the painter and he was trapped inside his own painting as he can't seem to paint because the colors aren't working. Meanwhile, the guardians were also powerless while inside the painting. Will thought of stealing a crystal tear hidden inside the cathedral so that Elias can paint again using the tear. They succeeded in stealing but were forced to face Frost the hunter. They defeated him because their powers had returned along with Elias ability to paint. As they decided to go home, Elias told them that he wanted to stay there so long as he can paint. That is because no one is actually waiting for him outside as he lived a long time ago. At the end of the issue, it was seen that the guardians were in the museum, looking at the painting, and visiting their friend, Elias, who is happily painting.

Rereading W.I.T.C.H is like reliving part of my childhood! For years I diligently collected the comics (in both English and Spanish) excited to see what would happen next, and now 16 years later I’m rereading it. It’s everything I remember and more with stunning art, fun plot, and charismatic characters. It’s definitely is for younger audiences (around the ages I was when I first read it) but on nostalgia alone I love it nonetheless. I do think if you’re an adult and haven’t grown up with W.I.T.C.H it probably won’t have the same effect. I can now see that the pacing is very fast and conflict is resolved far too quickly, but I still love the plot, world(s) building, and characters. I distinctly remember this issue for the “painting” mini arc that really drilled in how awful the villain is. It’s fun, vibrant, and does touch on some sad topics (although I know this series further down the line gets more emotional) but still has a very sweet ending. It’s been a lovely experience rereading this series and I recommend going back to it if you grew up with W.I.T.C.H. I also really recommend it to people of the target age (late secondary school/early-mid secondary school/middle school) or people who like magical girl stories aimed at younger audiences.

This is so awesome, I can't stop myself from reading it all day!
At this one the girls got trapped into a painting, which is cursed so time doesn't goes by, nobody gets old and, even worse, the girls are powerless!! But in the meanwhile they get to know Elias - the painter - who become their friend.
