Flesh Code: Vol. I

Rate this book
The education system in America is bad enough, but when the world's schools are brainwashing the future with New Order World rhetoric, well, the end result, is...zombies....
This first novella in this Young Adult Series (Ages 14-and-up) explores the coming of the zombie horde (or scrats) who took the NWO'S compliance "pill" and are now ready to eat everyone in sight. Those that didn't turn were the small percentage of students who thought for themselves and now must use those smarts to survive the zombie apocalypse.
Also, the adults who didn't take their own pills are left to fight the millions of zombies who felt the NWO was to be listened to and trusted.
As two cousins trapped in their respective schools on two different sides of the United States try to keep in touch through this new war, kids all over the world move toward social media sites and text messaging to help each other survive the zombies' attack on those who were smarter than them to begin with.

"Flesh Code: Vol. I" is written entirely in social media formats as the young turn toward what has become their primary way of communicating in the 21st century. As the New World Order moves in on shutting down all communication, kids rally to find the best way to stage their fight against the ghoulish flesh eaters they once called their friends.

"Flesh Code: Vol. I" is the alternative, YA universe version, of Alan Dale's "Dead Nations' Army" trilogy which launched in July with "Code Flesh." Four characters from "DNA" have crossed over into the "DEA" series while a number of characters in one book have an alternative personality in the other.

A series that has caused plenty of controversy and brought in its share of enemies, both the "DNA" and "DEA" series hope to entertain as well as inform readers of the world we live and where we are headed...

Alan Dale is a long-time journalist who has won seven national awards and recently completed "Dead Nations' Army Book One: Code Flesh", his second book. His first book, "The Enternet: Trapped Inside A WEB", is currently available via Amazon Kindle. He has written on news topics and sports in the newspaper business since he was 14 and has been printed over 12,000 times.

Dale recently began working on the Young Adult companion trilogy to DNA, penning the "Dead Education's Army: Flesh Code." He hopes to create an alternative universe using many of the same premises as the "DNA" storyline. A teaser prologue from "Flesh Code" can be found at the end of the first DNA book.
In the future he aims to get "Dead Nations' Army Book Two: Code Mind" out this fall.
Ultimately he also hopes to knock out 10 prequel novellas leading up to the first page of "DNA: Code Flesh" dealing with some of the more central characters. Those would be released before the final installment of the trilogy, "CODE SOUL."
Dale's aims are to also create a full time entertainment/news/political blog/web site at WERZOMBIES PRESS. Currently his site has grown in popularity and his plans are to do more with the PRESS.

He currently lives in the northwest, and is a huge fan of music, movies, and international sports such as rugby, cricket, soccer, basketball, and hockey, while also reading, watching movies, and listening to his vast music collection.

Hi to all zombie, horror, politics, social issues, and news fans who are reading this. Well, first thanks to those who have purchased this, first book in the Dead Nations' Army trilogy, CODE FLESH.

To start we are using the release of this book and all subsequent titles in this series to launch the KID KAT PROJECT. Our goal is to start a mass movement from authors, musicians, and film makers to donate a portion of their proceeds to a NO-KILL ANIMAL SHELTER they adopt. The fund for DNA titles will go toward local shelters in the northwest. We would like to make enough money to help sustain a part-time paid position for a surrogate pet patent to give the animals awaiting a new home a consistent companion they can love.

We also like to welcome back to our ARMY, those who bought the teaser novella, CODE FLESH (Part I). We hope we reward your support with an even bigger and better story for you to shiver over and have nightmares about...knowing when you wake you awake into the world we have written about, sans zombies...for now.
Don't forget CODE MIND and its hoped for Fall release and the final installment of CODE SOUL sometime in late 2013. Tentatively there are also 10 prequel novellas planned surrounding the same number of key characters you read about in the first two books and they would be set for release prior to the final book in the trilogy.
ALSO, keep an eye out for the "Dead Education's Army" YA trilogy that will be a companion series to DNA

This is the best zombie book I have read since World War Z! I have been trying to find another zombie book like it and I was looking through amazon.com books and found this one. Even if you are thrown right into the whole of things from the beginning I liked it though I can see a chapter kind of filling us in I still feel kind of confused as to how the pills are brought out. I would definately recommend to my fellow zombie lovers :)

Wow...is all I can say! I really enjoyed this book. I felt even though we don't know much about the characters (you are pretty much thrown into it from the beginning) that they were strongly developed. I loved the pace of the book..,seemed to flow easily & kept me wanting to turn the page to see what else happens. I love the idea behind the book & I can't wait to read the next one to find out what happens.

I really tried to like this story, but there was so much confusion in this book, I could not tell what was going on. A really good editor could make this into a good book. I really like what Mr. Dale's message was, but I could not make sense of the story. You went from one character's thoughts straight into another's without any kind of break or told who was speaking. And the commas, Lord the commas...they where everywhere! Places they weren't supposed to be. I will try to read again if and when it is edited properly. Sorry.
