I love romance. I love reading romance, living romance (who doesn't), but I especially love writing romance. There's no greater feeling than watching my characters come alive in each other's arms. Most of all, I love giving my characters the happily ever afters they deserve, with a little necessary drama first.

When I pick up a new book and can sink into the story, immersing myself in the emotions between the characters, I know I've found a keeper. I hope someday to inspire readers the same way my favorite authors have inspired me.

I love to hear from readers so feel free to email me at sondraebennett@gmail.com or check out my blog to learn more about me. I dedicate *most* Mondays on my blog to books I'm in love with so come on over and join the fun.

I've found the first book in this series by coincidence and liked it and I have been looking everywhere for this one and finally I've found it.

- I liked the heroine even though she can kick ass she still was calm and collected, like how the guy in his first day with her when he didn't recognize her in her human form started mouthing about her other form and she just found it amusing instead of insulting

- I liked how the hero wanted to get stronger so that he might have her back

- Liked the attraction brewing

- Liked how they made it feel like a home and a family environment

- I liked how the heroine had a bond between her and the gate

- The last part was sad but I liked how the gate that used to deny her many thing have her everything at the end, that was touching

Overall, *thumbs up*

Kalindra GateKeepers Book Two ~ Sondrae Bennett

Love knows no boundaries space or time; it is limitless. This message is aptly conveyed to the readers of Kalindra Gate Keeper Book Two in this firecracker of sensuality, paranormality and action written by talented author Sondrae Bennett.

Ms. Bennett's love for red hot paranormal eroticism woven with plenty of butt kicking combats is apparent in this delightful novel Kalindra Gate Keeper Book Two. Ms. Bennett captured my attention from the first page to the last sentence. The exquisite sensations created are as delectable as the most decadent, elegant meal full of all things that caress your palate and your other senses with each sinfully delicious bite. Ms. Bennett spares no expense bringing her readers on the front line and creates a bond between the characters, locations, activities implementing the elements of a story so well. You will feel the range of energies, emotions, sadness, happiness, heart throbbing action in and out of bed. This is a hot one, the perfect length to maintain the quest for curiosity and satisfaction.

Harpy Kalindra is a gatekeeper, a powerhouse of sensuality, strength and savvy. Kalindra has been a warrior woman in this position of gate keeper for centuries. Her reputation proceeds her. Trust and believe her gateway has been desired by competitors however, her skillfulness for killing those who dare cross her keeps them at bay. Harpy Kalindra is feared by most and I have to admit she is my kind of woman...carrying an attitude: “I wish you would!” Harpy Kalindra wears the sexiness of human form when she is not battling. Kalindra wears the womanly human form graced with the curves, roundness and beauty in such a way it ignites the fire of irresistibility.

Analise, her best friend, a siren possesses the gift of magnetism with a physique to match that no male can repel. Ana is a minor character and colorful to say the least.

Kalindra's starring man, Cameron an entrepreneur with a plan of deception and has a great destain for vampires, harpy. Kalindra's strong sense of duty for protecting the gateway warrants his respect while guarding his secret. His muscular body, intelligence and guarded secret are things that piques the curiosities Kalindra harbors. Cameron has many answers that she wants answered and he's not willing to give them up easily therefore, Harpy Kalindra keeps him around for entertainment purposes although he is her prisoner.

The story Kalindra Gate Keeper develops nicely and stirs up the inferno of passion and friendship between these two unlikely individuals. I enjoyed the manner in which Ms. Bennett shapes and molds her story and her characters. I could not release the book since harpy and vampires as characters are not a draw for me in books but I treasured my hours together in the world of Kalindra and Cameron. I found this narrative heartwarming and adventurous. I am confident other readers will appreciate as I did savoring the connectivity between Cameron and Kalindra and the emotions that encompassed them. Ms. Bennett's world of adventure between the worlds and her characters stayed with me long after the last sentence and manufactured a hunger for the next installment.

Ms. Bennett builds a book with a marathon of sizzle, crackle and pop. If you don't mind sharing a piece of your imagination and sensitivity you should allow Ms. Bennett to envelope you with her lyrical writing style wrapped with luscious carnality. Ms. Bennett will increase your desire perhaps causing you to look for your special someone to curl up with for a hot, sweet taste of erotism.

As I await the next Gate Keeper featuring my new favorite heroine, Kalindra I will entertain myself with other paranormal works penned by this gifted warrior of a writer.

Kalindra is refreshing and different. It’s not your basic cookie cutter PNR. This was a fun novella with a sweet romance between a harpy and a human. I loved the characters and the world building was really different. You get romance, action and fun characters.

I felt a connection between Kalindra and Cameron right off the bat and the romance grew at a good rate as the story developed. Both characters were witty, smart and they each knew when to comfort the other in their time of need.

The only reason I didn’t give this a five, I would have loved to have known the characters more in-depth and I wished the world building was further developed. I also wanted to know more about the Outremer world and its gate. I can see this being a series and I hope this might be Sondrea plans in the future.

I love Ms Bennett's Alpine Woods series, but wasn't sure about trying a collaborative series. However after re-reading all the Alpine Woods books I was desperate for more so I tried it. I needn't have bothered waiting, I should've known she wouldn't disappoint. A sweet, hot story set in an interesting world with a kick-ass heroine, what's not to like? I may also give the other books in this series (which are written by different authors) a go as I liked the setting.

Enjoyable

This one is a nice enjoyable read. We have a harpy and a human who's relationship builds over time while protecting the gate. There is also A nice twist at the end so that they can have HEA.

I liked it. Kalindra and Cameron are good together. I like that it took a while for their sexual relationship to develop. My only complaint is the abrupt ending. Happy reading!
