This was a decent compilation of essays, though I found myself frustrated more often than not. Some really great critics here, but some very baffling decisions and inconsistency with the format of the book. I don't usually mind following good writers on tangents, but the essay on Stephen Stills' Manassas turning into a review of some completely different album was super frustrating. Still, a decent quick read.
