How Do I Change My Husband?

Rate this book
After twenty-five years of marriage, Merrilee Boyack shares her marriage secrets in this new talk on CD recorded in front of a live audience. Merrilee offers practical tips for women who want to better understand men (particularly their husbands) and build happier marriages. She helps women understand how men think and teaches practical communication skills and tools to help strengthen any marriage. "For the record, I reviewed this recording first to `protect the guilty' (namely me) and make sure that I could yank anything that even remotely hinted at my tortuous journey toward being a better husband and father. Surprisingly (probably due to her amnesia), I didn't have to exercise eminent domain or late-night stealth editing. The honest truth is that Merrilee has a LOT of great ideas to share. If you think her books are funny, inspirational, educational, and motivational, you have no idea what it is like to actually live with her. She is the real deal."--Steven Boyack, the author's husband

I LOVED this talk. I felt like it spoke directly to me, and was written for me. It was exactly what I needed to hear. Almost every point was something that I have felt/done/said since I've been married. But she brought up so many valid points that I had never thought of, and so many things that I can personally do to make our marriage better. Highly recommend this talk.

I really enjoyed this Talk on CD. I found it at my Local Library. Fully expecting it to be How to actually Change my Husband and his habits. How wrong I was! Really, it is how to change myself as a wife. How to compliment and show appreciation and love for my husband. How to see him as Heavenly Father sees him. How to love him for who he is and what he does, despite knit picky things that may bother me. Those things seem silly after hearing this talk. The Speaker uses very good humour to teach practical methods of marriage enrichment. One thing I loved was how she taught that when you treat your husband as if he already has a particular attribute, and show appreciation and gratitude for it- he will start to develop those traits. A very great listen!
I very much reccomend it for all Christian Wives!

This is a great talk given by Merrilee Boyack. Just about everything in this talk is covered in more depth in her book Strangling Your Husband is NOT an Option.

Be careful with this one, it can cause marriage problems just by your husband seeing the title. :) Actually Erik just thought it was funny. I liked this one. I listened to it on CD and it is a great short talk. The speaker is quite funny and gives great ideas. The overall message is to change yourself to be better for your husband versus what the title makes you think. Great motivational to do and be better for any wife.
