While I had some knowledge of the 'Final Solution' part of the genocide, this book helped me see what was it like in the years prior. How did the Jews live in the years leading up to that, what was their thoughts, actions, actions. This book helped me consider parallels to today and other times in history. How a people were made to be 'pariahs'.
