I can’t pinpoint the exact moment I fell in love with Mia. But it’s been so long I can’t remember when I didn’t. But she never saw me as anything more than her best friend, her shoulder to cry on when one of her Hollywood boyfriends broke her heart.
Waking up naked, hungover, and married to her isn’t my ideal way of getting the girl, but I’ve never been one to turn down an opportunity. And this is a big one. My chance to finally show her that I can be more than her best friend.
Our life isn’t some Hollywood blockbuster though. Best friends don’t cross that line because real life isn’t a fantasy. If you sleep with your best friend, you ruin your best friend-ship. It's possible that Garrett has taken over from Dylan or Nick as my favourite.
I love this story from beginning to end and everything in between.
We didn't previously know too much about Garrett but he'd made appearances. This is the story you didn't know you needed until you read it.

Betting on the Beat is part of the Heart Beat series of interconnected standalones. I absolutely loved Garrett and Mia’s story! It was sweet and I couldn’t put it down! There was heartbreak, secrets, angst, drama, romance, spice and a happily ever after! I love everything by this author and I can’t wait for the next book in this series! Highly recommend!

This novella was short but oh so sweet. I loved finally getting to hear about Garrett's unrequited love. Turns out it was his childhood best friend, Mia, who, as an actress, has sworn off non-Hollywood boyfriends. After a bad break up, she needs to get away, so he takes her to Vegas where they proceed to get smashed and accidentally get married. Deciding to stay married for PR reasons, Garrett attempts to manage his feelings while Mia is trying to figure out where hers are coming from. I loved this journey for them, and ultimately the downfall for Fu-, I mean Tucker. And how it set up the next book with Michaela too!

Wow, just wow! This was a very enjoyable story. A little predictable But I fell in love with Garrett. If we could only clone him.I wanted to smack Mia around for how insensitive she was towards Garrett. Will be interested to read the next in the series

Holy smokes y'all! Mia and Garrett just stole first place in my favorite Breanna Lynn couples awards! Of my goodness these two are so deliciously spicy! I love a good friends to lovers romance, but but these two just took it to another level entirely! Mia is a fierce woman following her dream and Garrett is the most scrumptious commanding alpha I've ever stumbled upon! This is one happily ever after you don't want to miss! See y'all on another page!

Betting on the beat is a novella which takes place between book 3 and 4 in the Heart Beats series that can be read as a standalone but it's a shame really not to enjoy the all series.
I knew from the previous books that Garrett was Book Boyfriend material, what I discovered for my ultimate pleasure is that he has the most exquisite dirty mouth.
Mia had to work a bit on herself and go out of her selfish tendencies to win that perfection of a man.
In the end, we have a very cute short story and may I add again an absolutely perfect Garrett...

Shorter than a full story since they had been friends for YEARS
He has also had feelings for her since they were at least freshman in HS (14 or so) but he could never find the right time to tell her.
They go to Vegas for the weekend and wind up married—interesting plot twist lol
It’s so fun watching her see him in a new light. She’s friend zoned him for so long and now her hormones are starting ti unlock that zone and let the “enemy” infiltrate lol
They are just the cutest once they work through everything!
Gah! And it’s so hot too since they literally spend nearly two straight months living it up as newlyweds lol
The inevitable romance boom breakup occurs but this time it’s her that needs to grovel to repair the rift!
I love it and I loved the way she did it! SWOON! 😍😍

Oh Garrett! He quite possibly is the best man I could imagine. The way he treats Ames "Mia" is with so much love. Their friendship is one for the books. He'd do anything for her. When their life takes a turn, it's everything you hope for. They are such a cute couple!

This was a sweet, friends to lovers fake marriage novella. Garrett was such a sweet MMC and easy to fall for. Mia and Garrett's relationship was enjoyable to watch unfold.
