Zygmunt Bauman was a world-renowned Polish sociologist and philosopher, and Emeritus Professor of Sociology at the University of Leeds. O problema de pensadores com vertente marxista, caso do Bauman, é que são ótimos em identificar o problema, mas péssimos em propor solução. É espantoso como uma pessoa que se propõe a pensar e analisar a sociedade, ignore (consciente ou inconscientemente) as variáveis econômicas como elas são, e adota uma perspectiva de como gostaria que fosse, como se as coisas fossem funcionar à base do wishful thinking. Eu acredito que o Bauman tem válidas críticas no que se refere ao campo comportamental/sociológico de como lidamos com as coisas modernas.. mas em alguns trechos soa como um senhor saudoso de como eram as coisas antigamente...

Zygmunt Bauman era un señor que nació en 1925 y fumaba en pipa.
Os invito a buscar una foto suya en Google.
Descubrir este hecho me ha dado la vuelta a la idea que tenía de él cuando leía sus 44 cartas.
¿Por qué? Lo veo un avanzado. Hablaba de temas rabiosamente actuales y preocupantes.
Murió en 2017, con una clara percepción "líquida" de la sociedad.
¿Qué significa eso? Os lo explico con mis propias palabras ;):
Según Bauman actualmente vivimos en una sociedad en constante cambio (redes sociales, consumismo, relaciones, trabajos...) y las personas, ante la inestabilidad e incertidumbre que esto provoca, no tenemos más remedio que adaptarnos, pero de una forma no vinculante, no profunda, no sólida, a nuestros trabajos, nuestras parejas, nuestras, casas, y hasta nuestros valores.
Este es concepto de ser "Líquidos". como sinónimo, quizá, de flexibles. Podemos, en cierto momento, tener o buscar apariencia sólida, pero hemos desarrollado la capacidad de volver al estado líquido para adaptarnos a los cambios.
Aunque durante las 44 cartas Bauman analiza diferentes ideas, quizá es el consumismo y la hiperconexión los temas más tratado.
Para mí este libro ha cumplido su misión: tener un acercamiento al autor y su pensamiento. Tiene varias obras más que pienso seguir analizado.
Me ha encantado la última carta en la que hace referencia a Albert Camus cuando nos animaba a que nuestra propia existencia sea un acto de rebelión.
Recomendado si te preocupa formar parte de un rebaño ignorante y te apetece plantearte qué coño estás haciendo con tu vida y tu planeta.
Pido disculpas por ese coño a los alumnos que me leen, pero hay cosas que sólo se pueden decir de una manera.

Zygmunt Bauman je sociolog a autor, ke kteremu jsem se letos vratila po 12 letech od VŠ. Bylo to pro me delsi cteni, protoze kniha je prelozena urcitym stylem cestiny, ktera neni nejctivejsi. Zaroven nektere veci, zminene Baumannem jsou uz preci jen mirne zastarale (odkazuje se na rok 2009). Presto je urcitym zpusobem jeho myslenka tekute modernity nadcasova a spoustu veci, ktere pojmenoval, plati dodnes. At uz je to vychova deti v dnesni dobe, prumysl leciv, nase pojeti autorit, samota a zivot v/bez komunity.. k Baumannovi se urcite rada zase nekdy vratim.

Bardzo przyjemna lektura, do ok. 210 strony, później listy zaczynają być przydługie i tematy mniej pochłaniające. Pod koniec czułam się zmęczona czytaniem myśle, że to kwestia ułożenia tekstów.

Czy polecam? Polecam. Początek czyta się bardzo szybko i chce się wracać. Tematy nadal aktualne i nadal skłaniające do refleksji. Jednak nie jest to książka, która zmieniła coś w moim życiu.

Przyznaje się ostatnich 20 stron nie doczytałam, może kiedyś wrócę, może nie.

Primeiro livro que li do sociólogo Bauman.
Esse livro é uma coletânea das 44 cartas escritas por Bauman ao público italiano, nos anos de 2008 e 2009. As cartas tratam sobre os sentimentos de insegurança, solidão, desesperanças, os falsos relacionamentos e sentimentos de completude que sentimos com a modernização da tecnologia, os falsos e aparentes sentimentos de pertencer a um grupo, as crises econômicas.. Enfim, temas presentes nesse mundo líquido moderno em que vivemos, tão inconstante, mas que Bauman trata de forma concisa e com um raciocínio espetacular.

Escolhi este livro para ser meu primeiro contato com Bauman porque pareceu algo mais simples, como testar as águas, uma introdução.

De fato não me arrependi, foi bem interessante, me fez refletir sobre várias coisas que antes não passavam pela minha mente. É sempre válido ter uma visão mais ampla das coisas, pensar em questões que muitas vezes passam despercebidas no dia a dia.

Porém devo ressaltar que é uma visão bastante realista, e a realidade é dura, então pode parecer um tanto pessimista. Em alguns momentos eu lia pensando "ok boomer".

🔸يتطرق باومان في ٤٤ رسالة الى اسلوب نمط الحياة الجديدة المتسارع، حيث الوقت ينزلق من بين ايدينا دون ان نتمكن من السيطرة عليه، وحيث العلاقات التي ما ابتدأت الا لتنتهي كلمح البصر، الاخبار العاجلة المتوالية في كل ساعة، الازمات الاقتصادية الغير عادية، الفرق الشاسع بين الطبقات الاجتماعية، والاختلاف الكبير بين الآباء والجيل الجديد، بين ما تم بناءه بشق الأنفس والسيطرة عليه بالقواعد المتزنة والاخلاقيات المفروضة وبين ما يطمح الجيل الجديد لهدمه او تعزيزه بانماط جديدة من التغيير المفروض على كل ما هو قديم…
🔸يركز باومان في بداية كتابه على نقطة اساسية ملفتة في الحداثة السائلة، وهي الاتصال السهل بين الجميع والعلاقات الاجتماعية الكثيرة حيث بضغطة زر يمكنك التواصل معهم في آنٍ واحد دون الحاجة للتواجد الجسدي، ومن هذه النقطة الإيجابية اصبحنا نعاني من قصور التواصل والتفاهم الاجتماعي وجهاً لوجه، نجدنا لا نألف التواجد حول البشر، ورغم ذلك لا نستطيع قطع التواصل الإلكتروني مع الآخرين ومع العالم اجمع، كأننا نصرخ -دون جدوى- بـ”اسمعوني انا موجود هنا”…الكل يريد من الكل ان يراه ويسمعه، وهذا على حساب الخصوصية والعزلة المرغوب فيها والراحة في علاقات صحية وحقيقية…
“هرباً من الوحدة أنت تتخلّى عن فرصتك في العزلة وتتركها على قارعة الطريق تتخلى عن تلك الحالة السامية التي يمكن فيها “جمع الأفكار”، والتفكير والتأمل والإبداع، وفي الرواية الأخيرة، يمكن جعل التواصل ذا جدوى وجوهري. ولكن ما لم تتذوق طعمه أبداً. قد لا تعرف أبداً قيمة ما فقدته وأضعته وخسرته”
🔹لا يكف الكاتب عند هذا الحد، بل يتطرق الى العالم الرأسمالي الذي نعيشه وكيف ان الحداثة الحالية ما هي الا استغلال للاستهلاك البشري المتطور بشكل مفرط به في جميع جوانب الحياة وخاصة الغذاء والدواء…

Como li em um dos comentários sobre esse livro, Bauman é excelente na identificação dos problemas, mas não dá alternativas e soluções para eles. Senti que, carta a carta, fui me afastando das realidades retratadas, ao ponto de ler no automático alguns capítulos, sem reflexão ou aplicação alguma. Gostei muito mais das reflexões de "Não nascemos prontos" do Mario Cortela, por exemplo, onde refletia mais sobre os assuntos. De qualquer forma, não posso descartar o fato de Bauman ser um excelente escritor e ser tão citado, afinal como ele descreve detalhes da sociedade, realmente faz dele uma excelente referência a ser citada em textos do ENEM, mas a conclusão e resolução, com certeza não é com ele.

As I read in one of the reviews about this book, Bauman is excellent at identifying problems, but he doesn't provide alternatives or solutions for them. I felt that, letter by letter, I was moving away from the realities portrayed, to the point that I read some chapters automatically, without any reflection or application. I liked the reflections in "We are not born ready" by Mario Cortela much more, for example, where he reflected more on the subjects. In any case, I can't rule out the fact that Bauman is an excellent writer and is so often cited, after all, the way he describes details of society really makes him an excellent reference to be cited in ENEM texts, but the conclusion and resolution are certainly not up to him.

I've always been drawn to the writing of sociogists and anthropoligists, their long run-on sentences where the meaning of a word shifts and shifts in a dizzying tailspin.

This is the first time I'm reading Bauman and this collection is a gentle, and easy entry. The topics here are rather broad-ranging, but also familiar. There's plenty of anchoring on philosopher-writers of the modern world that I've had an instinctive turning towards -- Camus and Calvino comes to mind -- and there's a certain comfort in that, with calming drone of Bauman's loquacious verbiage.

Some of the main frameworks I'm leaving with:
- Consumerism as redefining the relationship with posessions from one of a lasting friendship to one that thrills at the moment of acquisition
- The latent and persistent tension between longing of belonging to a larger whole, and the longing to be seen as a unique individual
- Fate sets the options, but character makes the choices

to live, as to love, means giving hostages to fate

- Boundary as a definition of the division of inside/outside, but also as a metaphysical communication interface

Doporučiji přečíst každému, kdo občas přemýšlí nad životem nejen svým ale i okolním. Kdo si uvědomuje, že žije v konzumní společnosti a chce ji trochu pochopit, nebo si uvědomit něco co předpokládal za samozřejmé. Kniha předkládá 44 "dopisů", skutečností se kterými si myslím každý nás setkal a rozebírá je, přemýšlí nad nimi jako o nečem neobvyklém.

Díky tomu že je kniha tvořena 44 částmi a každá z nich má odlišný nádech, tak se mi dobře četla. Vždy jsem měla potřebu dočíst kapitolu, uzavřít myšlenku.

After Bauman's death this year, I thought it was high time to read something of his. This collection of short pieces about life in the liquid modern world brought up some very interesting points, although I will need to read something else to get a better idea about the whole concept.

Zbiór felietonów napisanych 10 lat temu czytany z dzisiejszej perspektywy zdaje się być odrobinę banalnym.
Bauman sprawnie opowiada dzisiejszą rzeczywistość, ale najciekawiej jest jak komentuje opowiadania Italo Calvino.

Anyway, there are parts of the book that I enjoyed very much, but I believe that this book is too old to be read in 2021. Recommendation: better pick something else.

Książka się zestarzała. Pisana w 2010 nie opisuje rzeczywistości roku 2020. Autor nie tylko opisuje świat ale też go ocenia w dość krytyczny i monco subiektywny sposób - po prostu boomer ;)

O livro é uma boa introdução às ideias de Bauman, no decorrer das cartas ele trata dos mais diversos assuntos e dá bons exemplos que atestam o mundo líquido em que vivemos. Assim como em outros livros, Bauman continua apelando à necessidade de soluções coletivas para os problemas individuais, o fortalecimento da comunidade e a exploração dos bons aspectos da globalização como fundamentais para enfrentarmos, como seres humanos, as 'bombas' que estão por vir: a bomba ambiental, a bomba demográfica e a bomba de desigualdade. Não é difícil identificar um certo saudosismo em suas palavras, no livro a análise dessa sociedade líquida e em constante mudança é feita de forma ampla, pois explora diversos assuntos, mas sem muita profundidade nos temas específicos.

Co tu dużo pisać, genialne felietony Baumana z łam "La Republica delle Done" traktujące o problemach ponowoczesnej rseczywistości, bezrobocie, kryzys wiary, wartości, podstaw świata, globalne ocieplenie, fobie i feminizm. Wciąż płyniemy przez te same problemy, wciąż boimy się o przyszłość, w świecie który stara się stworzyć nam gotowe, fastfoodowe recepty, konsumuj, zadłużaj się, żyj jakby nie było jutra, a jutro nadchodzi...

Certo, non si può dire che Bauman non mette a fuoco i vari argomenti che espone, però la società ''liquida'' mi sembra il minimo discorsivo che poteva offrirmi. Che tutto muta lo sappiamo dai tempi di Talete di Mileto.
Il libro non è malaccio, è positivo in quanto offre varie tematiche ed esposizioni di Bauman ma l'oltre non c'è.
