He ruined a lifelong friendship the night he kissed me. I spent the next three years avoiding him.

Well . . . I tried at least.

With my dad being a member of the Cerberus MC and his dad married to one of the members it was virtually impossible. Just like it was impossible to keep from watching his mouth when he spoke.

The same went for staring at his hands and remembering how they felt on my skin that night.

Senior year of college, after years of keeping our distance, we ended up in the same dorm room.

Avoiding him now is no longer an option . . .

Contains mature themes.

So this is going to sound really strange since this is book #22 in the CERBERUS MC Series but this is the first book I am reading in this series, there I said it I am jumping in at book #22! You may wonder why I am jumping in now and the answer is simple, I had been reading the BLACKBRIDGE SECURITY Series which recently ended and the men of Cerberus popped up to help them out at times of need and in the last book they were going to help them out so there I went too. Lucky for me this book was able to be read without reading the prior books in the series.

Marie James did a fantastic job with this best friends to enemies to lovers story. I really enjoyed all the ups and downs she took us on, sometimes the rollercoaster was a bit bumpy but when things smoothed out it was a great ride.

Not as good as Snatch (though it did have less sex and less MF sex on page thank God) but it was an ok friends to lovers book.. Not very unique nor original, just the classic gay friend pining after his supposedly straight playboy BFF. Enjoyable..

I love these two guys 😫😭🥹 You can feel their love before they even do. 💕 One is openly gay and the other is in complete denial... and full of anguish.

Landon is a bi-awakening, best friend to enemies to lovers novel.

“You said once, you’d fucking die for me. How can you not see that you’re the one killing me?” Rick

I couldn’t wait for Rick and Landon‘s book but this author threw us a curveball when they ended up together. Rick has known he’s been gay since the early days and one night he kisses Landon. Will that ruin a friendship? After a falling out they end up sharing a dorm room together, will they work out their issues? There is angst, rejection, heartbreak, steamy scenes and finally love in this book.

enjoyed this story between Landon and Rick. Both these characters have appeared in previous storylines, which I love. This book is full of surprises from start to end and kept me on my toes as to what the outcome would be. It was a slow burn story, that built up the tension and I enjoyed the interactions that took place between them during college.

We are going to be honest with this one. We really struggled with this one; it's not that we didn't love the characters, we loved them, it took forever for things to heat up, and it was almost halfway through.

Our hearts went out to Rick; we really loved the guy. He was genuine, kind, a sweetheart, sensitive, and openly gay and secretly in love with his best friend.

Landon, we found to be a cocky B and a bit of an a**, and he may not have intentionally meant to hurt Rick with his actions and deeds, and incisiveness in coming to terms with his own sexuality, he did just that. Rick too took full responsibility for his own feelings and his own heart, and doesn't lay blame only at Landon's door.

Overall, we loved them as a couple, and when they work the kinks out of their relationship, they will be a power couple. When Landon finally decided to be all in, it was like full speed ahead, not holding back, which came with life-changing events. We were secretly rooting for Rick to attain his happily ever after, like everything worth having is also worth fighting for...

Landon & Rick were best friends growing up, but something happened to them that had Rick telling Landon of his feelings, so Rick lost his best friend on top of being rejected brutally. Rick is an amazing young man so let me be clear, I had his six all the way, while Landon really got my back up. I know this is new territory for Landon, and it can be more difficult for young men to open their minds to this situation, but he came off cruel to me more than once. However, fate stepped in that led Landon & Rick to share their dorm room in college during their senior year, so Landon can no longer ignore Rick, and now things get interesting. It's during this time that Landon started to grow on me despite his previous actions because he can't run away from himself any longer or can he?! Will Landon finally acknowledge that things aren't as cut & dried that he wanted them to be?! You know what you have to do to find out, and since it is a Marie James book, you want to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is a story of two people searching for love in accepting who they are. Landon and Rick grew up best friends. Rick has loved Landon since they were teenagers but will Landon let that love into his heart? During their journey, they both discover that true love can exist for these two. Another great book by Ms James

Landon and Rick had a one-of-a-kind friendship growing up. They were closer than brothers and shared an amazing bond. Until that one night when Rick let his feelings be known. They couldn't get back to the same place again, and each thought the other hated him. Playing pretend around family isn't easy, but they won't hurt anyone the way they're hurting. Can they get their friendship back on track once they're thrown into a living situation together at school?

Omg I absolutely loved both of these guys. They were amazing and I love that they weren't afraid to have such a close friendship when they weren't involved.

Landon and Rick’s story is another incredible addition to the CerberusMC series. Their unfolding story is one of discovery, learning, acceptance and many many emotions. Words are powerful, they need to be used wisely and at opportune times. Growing up is usually fraught with challenges, more so when you stand in your own way, however having someone in your corner can make all the difference. A number of scenes are decidedly hot and swoon worthy. Loved this book, a new favourite read in this series.

LANDON is the twenty-second instalment in Marie James contemporary, adult CERBERUS MC erotic, MC romance series. This is second generation Cerberus Landon Andrews and Rick Matthews’ story line. LANDON can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous storylines is revealed where necessary. Landon is Dustin Andrews and Khloe Devereux‘s son (KID #2), and Rick is the son of Detective Colton Matthews (COLTON #14).

NOTE: LANDON is a new adult to adult story focusing on a bi-awakening, same sex relationship, therefore there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Landon and Rick ) covering several years, LANDON follows the best friends to enemies to lovers relationship between Landon Andrews and Rick Matthews. Years earlier, high school friends Landon Andrews and Rick Matthews were two of several victims of a drug addled gunman, and in the ensuing rescue Rick Matthews professed his love for his best friend Landon Andrews, forever changing their relationship into something else. Now in their senior year at college, Landon barely acknowledges Rick’s existence, preferring to ignore the ‘proverbial elephant in the room’, an elephant that continues to break Rick Matthews’ heart. Landon more than rejected Rick all those years ago, Landon destroyed a life long friendship pushing the man with whom he would fall in love, into the arms of someone else. With limited dorm space available at school, Landon and Rick will be forced to room together, a predicament that will inevitably push the couple together. What ensues is the rebuilding friendship and relationship between Landon and Rick, and the potential fall-out as Landon struggles to admit his love for his best friend.

The relationship between is a best friends to enemies to lovers relationship wherein Landon is aware that his best friend is gay but never thought of himself as bi-sexual, gay or other. Rick’s profession of love and kiss find Landon adamant in his rejection of his former best friend, a friend that struggles in the face of a broken heart but Landon has always believed himself to be straight, never once suspecting there was something more waiting with his best friend Rick. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.

The secondary and supporting characters include Rick’s father Colton and his wife Sophia; Landon’s parents Dusting and Khloe; as well as several college students, dorm mates and school athletes who come in and out of our couple’s life.

LANDON is a story of friendship and relationships, rejection and heart break, acceptance and love. The premise is captivating and emotional; the romance is passionate and provocative; the characters are energetic, enthusiastic but often immature. LANDON does not focus on the Cerberus MC or their membership, bypassing most of the characters and previous events but instead, focuses on the relationship between Landon and Rick.

The Cerberus MC series has been one heckuva rollercoaster ride through 21 previous books! Number 22 is yet another winner, taking readers on an emotionally intense journey of two lifelong friends and the feelings that evolve to break them up before bringing them back together. It's a journey of acceptance of yourself, embracing love whoever offers it, and not letting the judgements of others keep you from your HEA. This is a tale that spans years, breaks your heart early on, before putting a smile on your face with a satisfying conclusion.

Rick and Landon had been friends for years before a traumatic event led Rick to confessing his secret love for his best friend. It's a moment that pulled them apart though with Landon unable to admit what he's spent years fighting...that he feels the same for his friend. My heart broke for Rick at that moment, for being brave enough to admit the truth about what's in his heart and being turned away...being ignored for years in fact before fate brought them back together as roommates whose closeness led to Landon no longer being able to keep his true feelings hidden.

Throughout their frustrating and emotional journey I truly liked Rick. He had a big heart that he simply wanted to give to Landon, he simply wanted to be seen as someone Landon could love, instead of being kept at arm's length. Landon especially frustrated me because of the casualness of the hurt he caused Rick, hurt that was mostly because of his indecision and fear over how others might see him. Once he admitted his feelings to himself though he was all in and his actions started to charm me.

Theirs was a hard-fought journey to HEA, one that put them and readers through the wringer. Things might've started out slow but they turned steamy halfway through in encounters that were tender and sensual. Once these two started to talk I was truly touched by their maturity and the openness of what their being together means. Though this book is part of the Cerberus MC series it focuses solely on Landon and Rick. Secondary characters, family and friends, are seen but the action is totally of the emotional kind as we watch these two become men in love with each other. It's a heartfelt read that's a refreshing addition to the usual MC fare and is one I definitely recommend!

I’ve been desperately awaiting Landon and Rick’s story for a while now, it’s been in the making since Colton and Sophia got it together, and now the time has come for us readers to get a fix of these two fine young men.

The pair were best friends up until Rick crossed a line by kissing Landon, which left Landon confused, he liked it, but he didn’t understand the feelings that were running through his body, and is ultimately the reason why they went from actually being best friends to pretending that they were in front of others at family events, when the truth is they no longer have anything to do with one another. For three years the pair have managed to co-exist whilst attending the same college, however now in their senior year a problem with student accommodation sees them having to become roommates, which neither of them are happy about. Being around one another gives the pair more time to think about the past, Landon in particular, he soon comes to the realisation that fear played a factor in his reaction to the kiss Rick gave him, is it the fact it was Rick? Or could it be he’s not quite as straight as he thinks is? Rick’s also confused, ever since that night he kissed Landon he’s been under the impression that Landon hated him, but if that were the case why is Landon looking at him as if he were his next hot meal? Will the pair be able to mend their relationship, moving it into more intimate territory? Or will being in close proximity cause even more damage to their rocky friendship? Only time will tell…

I absolutely loved this story, Landon and Rick together as friends was captivating enough, but as their relationship went through changes, now that had me well and truly engrossed. Itchy and Snatch vibes all over again 😍😍 minus the tattoos, but equally as hot.

I feel like maybe I say this a lot, but it doesn’t make it any less true. Every time Marie James writes an MM story I’m blown away by how seamlessly she writes these amazing characters that I love and give me all the same feels as I do with her MF couples. She’s one of those authors for me that even though I already believed it before, she leaves me with a renewed feeling that love is love. It doesn’t have to look any certain way to be beautiful and true as long as you’ve got two consenting adults with deep and powerful feelings for each other. And she sure knows how to write steamy scenes that practically burn up the pages and hold the attention of the reader with all of her couples.
Landon and Rick have been a long time in the making, and yet I was still so surprised by certain moments of their story. Their journey to happiness had some heart wrenching points, but then it also had moments of lightness or down right hilarity. They were such opposites in many ways, but I liked both of their well-developed personalities. I loved their strong family ties. But the biggest, most important point that I loved and felt was that they loved each other. That love has evolved over several books with the snippets we saw before, and really got to shape and develop in this story where they got to be the stars. I have no doubts we’ll see more of them in future and I can’t wait.
Every time Marie James writes a new Cerberus book I hope it never ends. Even after 22 books, I still don’t want it to end. She keeps it fresh and feeling new with each couple. And I’ll keep reading even if this series lasts 50 books as long as she keeps the writing this strong and moving.

I was pulled right into this story. This story is about discovery of a bi-relationship and could trigger some people. The story has pain, secrets, grief, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Kincaid (Cerberus MC, #1)
SINdicate (Cerberus MC #1.5)
Kid (Cerberus MC, #2)
Shadow (Cerberus MC #3)
Dominic (Cerberus MC #4)
Snatch (Cerberus MC, #5)
Lawson (Cerberus MC 2.0 Second Generation, #1)
Hound (Cerberus 2.0 #2)
Griffin (Cerberus MC #8)
Samson (Cerberus MC #9)
Tug (Cerberus MC #10)
Scooter (Cerberus MC #11)
Cannon (Cerberus MC, #12)
Rocker (Cerberus MC #13)
Colton (Cerberus MC #14)
Drew (Cerberus MC #15)
Jinx (Cerberus MC #16)
Thumper (Cerberus MC #17)
Apollo (Cerberus MC #18)
A Very Cerberus Christmas (Cerberus MC)
Legend (Cerberus MC, #19)
Grinch (Cerberus MC #20)
Harley (Cerberus MC Series #21)

This is Landon and Rick’s story. Rick and Landon were in a tragic event years ago that caused Rick to tell Landon how he felt about him breaking their friendship. Now years later they still have not overcome that discovery. Rick feels it like a weight on his heart every time he sees Landon, but he still tries to move forward. As they are forced to room together in school, they have to learn to be friends again and hopefully finally deal with the past. As the friends learn more about each other feelings Landon never thought he would have emerged. Can these two figure out if they can build something together after all Landon never thought he could have feelings for Rick and struggles with those feelings.

I recommend this book.

I love the Cerberus MC Series and Landon was just as good as the others in this series. It is steamy, angsty, and real. Landon and his best friend since childhood, Rick, have a falling out just before senior year of high school, but act as though they are still best friends for their families’ sakes.

The coming of age, finding one’s true self and finding their position in life, Landon and Rick have a lot of obstacles to clear to have a fulfilled life. The only way that Rick can find to cope with his thoughts and views of Landon and his feelings towards Rick, is to get angry and avoid him. However, Landon is done with that and wants Rick back in his life, so now he’s going to take the opportunity given to him by the college and show Rick that their friendship is more, and he wants Rick in his life.

I loved this story and Landon and Rick. They’re finally on the same page and proven by their families that it doesn’t make any difference who one falls in love with, they only want them to be happy and have a good life. I’m excited for more Cerberus MC stories and characters and hope that all of the characters find that one person that fulfills their lives and shows them what they are missing while they’re looking for their soulmate. Life is funny and has a crazy way of leading us in the right direction when we least expect it. I give this book a 5-star review and look forward to more in the future.

We got the hint in past books when he was younger that Landon was going to be a little shit but I am seriously disappointed with what his character became. He not only sleeps with a girl a week after his friend confesses feelings for him (douche move, especially after the traumatizing event that had also happened), but also continues to sleep with her for years even knowing she has a serious boyfriend. Helping someone cheat is not okay (I know, I know, he wasn't the cheater but he was knowingly helping her cheat ... it's not like he didn't know and stopped when he found out) and I KNOW your parents raised you better than that. Also, how did his parents not know? The Club seems to know everything going on in that town.

These books also tackle tough topics so I'm really surprised that Rick's warnings and talks about what he went through in high school with the beating were the only things that really approached what they were going to be going through as a same-sex couple. I know their college town is supposed to be very supportive, but with past topics, I thought there'd be more blowback.

I am happy that once Landon gave in, it was smooth sailing though. I was waiting for OPD throughout since Landon was a playboy until settling down but even the one who could have caused it the most backed way off. It was nice that there wasn't really any drama at all, even between the two MCs, everything moved pretty smoothly. Once Landon finally gave in, it was basically smooth sailing from there.

What an absolutely heartwarming, self discovery read involving Landon, a Cerberus MC brother’s son. The author gave us a well written storyline of friendship that runs the gambit from besties to enemies to lovers. Landon and Rick have been best friends since they were kids. Rick is gay and Landon has always known and accepted, even defended him. But their friendship changes in high school when Rich takes a chance and kisses Landon, professing his love for him. This one act costs them to go from best friends to barely being able to tolerate each other. We fast forward to their senior year of college. They rarely speak to one another, but neither had forgotten that fateful night. Both the good and the bad of it.

Landon is known around campus for his prowess with the girls. But is he really happy? Rick has tried to move on but seeing Landon every day just makes him more angry and depressed. When fate steps in and forces them to share a dorm room, they are going to be forced to finally talk. Can their friendship be saved or is something else in their future?

What an absolutely fabulous journey of discovering one’s true self and owning who you are what you were meant to be. I highly recommend grabbing up Landon and simply enjoying the read. It’s so worth it.

Landon is the twenty-second book in the Cerberus MC, told in dual POV. I can’t even begin to describe how much I loved this book! I might have wants to shake them both a little and I can’t get enough of this series!

Landon is a Cerberus kid, his parents are Kid and Khloe, reading this series from book one I’ve kinda watched him grow up so this book made me feel like a proud Auntie.
Rick was introduced as Landon’s best friend in the series but we really got a first hand picture of their friendship in book 14, Colton. Colton Matthew’s is Rick’s dad and married a Cerberus daughter, Sophia, but the boys have been best friends since they were kindergarten aged.
Thick as thieves and always by each other’s side that is until on a night a horrific tragedy occurs, Rick makes what he later feels was the biggest mistake of his life. The ‘mistake’ wedged a distance between them for three long years, suffering through still acting like besties at family gatherings but ignoring each other at college and on the baseball field. That is until summer break before their senior year ends and construction on the athletic dorms, forces them to be roommates…words are spoken, misunderstandings surface and feelings are exposed.

Marie James! You have done it once again and I can not begin to tell you just how much I loved Landon and Rick’s story!! I’m so looking forward to Spade’s book!!.

This story has been on the sidelines since Sophia and Colton got together. Landon and Rick are/were best friends, until Rick got up his nerve and kissed Landon. Since that day the two pretend to be best friends at family events but really have nothing to do with the other. Three years of college and they have managed to live like the other didn't exist, now in their senior year, they end up having to be roommates. Neither is happy about the arrangement but there is nothing that can be done. The more time the two are in each other's company the more they each think on the past. For Landon he is coming to the realization that maybe he isn't as straight as he thought he was, could it be that it's just Rick that makes him want things he would normally not? Rick thought that Landon was disgusted by him and hated him, but the looks that Landon is giving him are not looking like he is disgusted by any means. Will the two be able to mend their relationship and move on to something more, or is it all a lost cause?

This was freaking fantastic!! I loved everything about this story, Itchy and Snatch are still my fav couple but Landon and Rick take a super close second. I give this 5 stars.

I could not wait for Landon and Rick's story. And let me tell you it was a great story. Landon and Rick are best friend till one night Rick crosses a line and kiss Landon his very straight best friend confused, turned on and upset his friend would do that to him Landon become a stranger to Rick. They go to the same college but don't talk to eachother other then when they go home and act like they are still friend so there family's don't find out Rick's secret. Rick does not hide the fact that he's gay but has never came out to his dad to tell him. When they are home for summer brake Landon starts to see Rick in a new light then what he's use to even tho he likes girls Rick just makes him feel something he's never felt before. Now Landon has to convince Rick that he want to see were things go between them. Rick is scared to let Landon in and explore there feeling for eachother. Rick does not want to have his heart broken but the pool to Landon is to strong. This book was very emotional and the story was amazing a friend to lovers, comeing out story and was one of the best books I have read this year

Landon & Rick

Best friend in school until a night of terror forces true feelings to be exposed. Rick's felt more than as a male friend for Landon for a long time yet he's tried to hide it until they almost die. Once his true feelings are out Landon pushes him away and there is no more friendship—at least when it is just them. How long will they be able to hide it or will they.

I really liked the story although I always want MC action and characters. This one is more about the two men coming to terms with their feelings and dealing with them around the people in their lives. The battle with their feelings is both touching and sad until...well until life forces them to face their true feelings. It was hard watching the pain, touching to see their admission, and satisfaction...need to read to see how it all works out.

Ms. James never fails to leave the reader with awakened feelings and the world around us. This is no different. She also gives a different feeling with each Cerberus book no matter how many she gives readers. I hope it just goes on and on.

Landon is a very rare YA romance story dealing with the discovery that who you thought you were isn't all that you are, it is a story of Landon, and his best friend Rick, these men were childhood friends who always had each other's backs and Landon was the friend that Rick needed when he finally dared to say he liked boys and not girls, but Rick kept one big secret, his love for Landon knowing that Landon would never look at him that way, or so he thought, one night changed everything but in some ways changed nothing, now two years on the friends have drifted apart even though they are at the same college, so managing to keep out of each other's way is not easy, but now it is about to become more difficult, and Landon is finally going to have to deal with thoughts and feelings he has kept buried.

The passion and connection between Landon and Rick are beautifully played out, and the whole story is just a captivating must-read.

I was so excited to finally get Landon's book! The son of Cerberus member Kid, his story has been building for a long time and we finally get to see how it all turns out.

Landon spent his childhood at the Cerberus clubhouse with his best friend Rick. The popular kid in both school and with the ladies, he heads off to college with dreams of professional baseball looming in his future.

Rick loves his best friend. They have been inseparable for years but when that turns to being in love with his best friend, Rick finds himself in a never ending struggle with the knowledge that Landon will never return his feelings.

When caution gets thrown aside and a risk taken, these best friends find themselves farther apart than ever, but neither understanding the true reason why. Can they sort through their feelings and find their way back to each other or is this the end of a lifelong friendship.

5 Star review of Landon (Cerberus MC #22) by Marie James
This was a great addition to the Cerberus MC series and one that held me captive from the first chapter to the last.

I have only read a couple of books in the Cerberus MC but what I have read I enjoyed. Landon ticked all the boxes for me. This was a fast paced, well developed story that I read in almost one go.

The chemistry between Landon and Rick is intense as was their emotional and rocky journey as they struggled to come to terms with their feelings. Both need to do some serious soul searching, as they realize that there could be repercussions if they are to follow their hearts.

What will happen when their passion ignites? Will it destroy them or will it burn bright? Can they make their love work or are they destined to be torn apart by circumstances?

One click and find out.

This is the 22nd book in this incredible series, and this is Landon and Rick’s journey. Landon and Rick have been best friends forever, until Rick plucks up the courage and kisses Landon, and now they are in the situation that they pretend to be best friends in front of their families, otherwise they avoid each other. Landon come to realise that maybe there is more to the feelings between him and Rick, but is it too late? This is a well written best friends / enemies / lovers’ storyline, with family, friendships, acceptance, challenges, emotions, tension, conflict, rejection, heartbreak, passion, and love, which leads to a riveting and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

OHEMGEE! I was so hoping that Rick and Landon would end up together. These two were attached at the hip growing up, until, one tiny misstep on Rick's part that separated them for years. Even though they go to the same college and play on the same baseball team and have the same friends and extended family, these two had to act like besties at home and hate each other at school.

After summer break and Rick and Landon are back at school, they find out that the athletic housing is being remodeled and the baseball players all have to live the dorm life. Then, oh dear god, Landon finds out that he has been roomed with Rick. I mean, what could go wrong? Or Right?

This was such a fantastic read and I freaking loved the epilogue. I loved it so much that I didn't want it to end. I am hoping that we get more from these two in future books. Because I need to know the rest of their story.
