New era things use to be different protected by the veil created by the witches now that that that veil has been lifted the world is changing quickly. Allowing the humans and the other’s out there to interact some by force others by accident but either way they must now live together humans, nonhumans, meta humans all learning to get along or trying to push forward to something better. Mace sexy as all get out part of the Big Sky clan one that you should fear, with a hate for the rich who are doing things to their kind to learn about them rather be wanting their enhanced abilities, to study them to eliminate them or whatever other reason they come up with for hurting their kind. They have been through so much since the fall of the veil that protected or kept them separated their land taken, forced into controlled reservations, their babies experiments, forced to roam under the control of humans when they say, where they say and so much has their kind in an uproar. McKenna is the daughter who is the bane to the shifters existence, they kidnapped her as she is leaving work not taking into account her father’s security team, one of their own is taken to be questioned maybe even tortured and taken to a bunker to be held as hostage and if honest with herself a little attracted to the alpha who is doing everything to maintain or pull in his anger but the truth is she doesn’t like her father much either and taking him down has always been a goal for her although she knew she wouldn’t succeeds on her own. Telling the truth about the chips her father put in all their necks is an eye opener to say the least they learn her father is much worser than they thoughts something he ensure they would never remember but so much more the moment he touches her his wolf goes crazy warning she is important, needs protection but will he heed his wolf, will he trust her, can he trust her, is she being honest with him, will she help free his people from her father’s control is or is she tricking to entrap him, and can they find happiness somewhere through it all?.

What an enjoyable book this was and I do love a strong female that can look after herself and an even stronger male that wants to taken the giants on at any costs. McKenna Grayson is a human and the daughter of the CEO of Insigny Corporation who is trying to take over the lands of the local Big Sky Wolf Clan to build on them but there leader is pushing back and decides to kidnap his daughter and force her father to leave there lands alone. Mace is the Alpha of the Big Sky Clan thats fighting a big Corporation that wants the packs lands and will do anything to get it and so they kidnap his daughter hoping he will back off and McKenna wants to help them because she hates her father just as much as they do but maybe she can help on the inside of the company but Mace isn’t sure he can trust or believe her and he is also worried about what will happen to her if she gets caught and because he is having strong feeling towards her and he knows she is interested in him and the longer they are together the lines get blurred and they are steaming up the sheets which could cause more problems for hiss pack. How does it all turn out and can they save his lands and can they have a future together when it’s all over.
