Conflict With Shadows
Jon Vega is a Republic Agent trying to do his work in the galaxy. He hunts down criminals and terrorist and brings them to justice. So when an attack occurs on the peaceful world of Serenity, his life as he knew it ends. He his thrown together with a Protectorate of the Federation, Nicolea Dan, in order to find a way to stop the invaders from destroying both galactic territories. With the help of a shady crime boss, and a mystic from the past, they must journey to a distant star in order to stop the invaders on their home world. There they find out that it is not only a battle for territory, but for the souls of mankind. Can they defeat their new found enemy on their home world, or will things be changed when they return? If they return.
This is a fast-paced story of invading darkness. The first in a series of light versus darkness; and the connection with the past to help fight for the future. This book openly promotes Christian values and morals.

Mark Castleberry’s Conflict with Shadows is a fascinating tale about the adventures of Jon Vega and Nicholea Dan in their pursuit to stop the Darkness from destroying their world. The peaceful planet of Serenity was suddenly being attacked by an unknown enemy. This planet was unclaimed by both the Republic alliance and the Federation governments. The two factions were still not on good terms because of the unitary split from several decades ago, but neither one of the factions was the cause of the sudden violence that was currently taking place in Serenity. It came as a shock to both sides when they heard news of the attack and that several of their people were injured and dead. After making sure both sides were innocent, the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister of the Federation decided to set aside their differences and work together to stop the destruction from spreading further. After seeing the damage that the unknown enemy did to Serenity, Jon Vega, the best agent of the republic, and Nicholea Dan, the best protector of the Federation, were both sent to infiltrate the enemy’s base in Serenity to investigate further. Little did they know that this was more than just a simple attack; this was the start of their journey to save their world and the souls of mankind.
This book is so engrossing, it easily drew me into the plot. Conflict with Shadows: The World of Strangers and Pilgrims Book 1 by Mark Castleberry is a fast-paced book I surely didn’t want to miss. The story was so captivating that I read the book continuously in an effort to quickly find out what happened next. The story was filled with a lot of interesting and thrilling action scenes that constantly had me on the edge of my seat. Aside from the great plot, the story is also filled with valuable lessons, like having faith during the toughest of times, which makes it even more worth the read. The science fiction element of this book is so gripping that I can’t get it out of my mind. It truly is a well-written piece and I feel lucky to have come across such a marvelous book. An astonishing, notable work.
