68-YEAR OLD WIDOWER Mac MacGregor signs up for a hike - the two-week Tour du Mont Blanc. He becomes attracted to a younger woman in his hiking group, Aileen, who reciprocates his affection. Unfortunately, the lady is married. Upon returning home to Vermont, Mac invites Aileen and her husband to dinner. The husband is an arrogant boor. The next visit, Aileen comes alone.
