They thought the time storms were an internet urban legend. Instead, five friends discover the mysterious phenomenon is QUITE real. What should have been relaxing weekend camping and gathering evidence to debunk internet fear-mongers becomes a desperate battle for survival when they find themselves stranded in a purgatory of time and space, where the past, present, and future of our world collide with the histories of alternate realities.
My fiction features found family and humor. I write stories of flawed but fundamentally kind people coming together to pull off something amazing. We all have struggles and hardships in our lives, and I want my books to be a welcome respite from that. A place where hope can be found. A place where no matter how dark things get, our heroes find a way through. As a kid, my mind was blown by all the aliens in the Mos Eisley Cantina, and in my writing, I've been trying to replicate that sense of awe and wonder ever since.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, with degrees in English (Creative Writing) and Sociology.
In 2018, I suffered an aortic dissection, which is virtually unheard of in men in their 30s, and the survival odds are… not great. After coming out the other side of that, I realized I couldn’t keep treating writing as “something I’ll get to later.” That experience completely changed my outlook on life. It was a harsh reminder I'm not immortal, so I should be grateful for every day and make each of them matter.
When Amazon launched Kindle Vella (now defunct), I used the serial fiction format as a way to push myself to maintain a consistent writing schedule, releasing a chapter a week. Writing on Welcome to the Nexus started on July 4th, 2021. The book released July 14th, 2025. Going forward, the goal is to release a sequel every 12-18 months until the series is complete.
